To those that don't watch the whole video remember modern 30-06 ammo with cause issues and damage parts in M1 Garands with standard standard gas plug. Stick to surplus m2 ball or an equivalent unless less you switch out the gas plug with an adjustable one or a modified plug.
@ringadingbaby4332 the bent op rod thing is mostly fuddlore. Have the springs checked by a gunsmith. New springs are cheap. As long as its greased and the springs are fresh it can handle regular 30-06 fine. Just avoid stuff like hornady super performance. No neat to beat the snot out of it with hot loads.
This is stupid. Maintain the rifle with proper lubrication and strong springs or you will have problems. If you neglect any rifle by failing to replace out-of-spec parts or properly lubricate the action, you are just begging for malfunctions and damage. Don’t be an idiot.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Hell yeah. Long as you got a lot of clip and AMMO
Beautiful valley to go shooting in!

This is what im saying is fuddlore. With good springs and adequate lubrication the aftermarket gas plugs are not necessary .
@@WastelandArmorerI’ve heard so much conflicting info on the topic and it makes me really confused as a new M1 owner .
