as a fan of optic i personally love the underdog story, watching the cod team throughout bo2 and into ghosts build up the hype and love of watching the guys and when they won the first xgames it was the most hype moment ever and once they started winning everything it stopped being fun to watch because they were just so dominate you always knew what was going to happen they were going to win. the underdog cinderella story is always more fun to be a fan of which is why when the teams are struggling as a fan i get it its what happens you just have to trust the process and the success is coming. Its like c9 winning the major, unbelievable defying the odds and becoming the first na team to win a major just like xgames
An LA Optic House would be GREAT and might be what optic content creation needs... hear me out. I've been an optic fan since early mw2 days but what RLY got me into the green wall was after watching them move into the first house and creating content together regularly. Hitch, you nailed it when you described it as a 'lifestyle'. IMO it's a huge part of why optic gained such a massive ammount of big time supporters. Watching kids my own age move into a big house to play video games and make content is something I envied and I found really interesting. It seemed like a dream 'lifestyle'. So naturally I've kept up watching all of yalls content over the years... But lately it's no secret optic content has been pretty underwhelming and it's like Maniac says... There's only so much you can do living in individual apartments content wise. The house format was a huge part of what got you guys where you are as content creators so I don't see why you would remove it from the equation. I dont want to be the guy to tell you where to live but if you guys are down with it... Why not? Looks like Nick is down. As far as LA goes... Everybody knows it's the mecca of content creation and obviously a beautiful city with warm weather. The opportunities to collab and network are endless which in favor will help the optic brand. I don't watch much faze content but it looks like that's what they do and it works great for them living in the hills and I think they even have another house in Calabasas. I support a move to LA for the content creators... Either way though I'll keep supporting. Keep up the great podcasts! Look forward to these all the time 🤙
I think that getting a Scuf House v2 would be best for you guys. You will have everybody under one roof and can vlog/game with each other which will naturally provide content for you guys. Just look at why Faze is popping so much rn they are all living together and create content that they like.
Nick never joined Optic to CREATE CONTENT OR DO ANYTHING FOR OPTIC GAMING APART FROM STRICTLY COMPETING AS A PROFESSIONAL HALO PLAYER. Not once was he signed to do anything other than that, it just so happens he's funny af when he wants to make videos. so he owes US nothing, it's Infinite who deal with how content creators work. so stfu about Nick for once. his stuff is good, when we get it. i don't mind waiting weeks on end for a video.
I somewhat agree but saying that you don’t mind waiting weeks for him to upload is not helping him at all. He needs some type of motivation and find a passion for something. He’s so young and he doesn’t really have direction. Cuz right now, he doesn’t seem to find anything fun in his situation. I want him to think of the long term instead of the short term. I want him to be happy and find success from hard work. He needs to have a mindset of having passion for something.
Keaton Slattery he doesn't get paid by optic to upload to his personal channel, he's paid to be in the optic content, the trivias, plays with things, optic podcast all that stuff. Nothing to do with his personal channel
Completely agree with the fact that there needs to be a house, the best vlogs are the ones where you guys were vlogging in the house and there was a mix of personalities on your videos. Not saying that I don't enjoy you guys personalities on you're own, but I think you're and the rest of optics best content was generated in that group setting that the house provided
I want to see Optic in an LA house, with all the guys we know and love, all houses next to or close with the guys with girlfriends, beaming sun, everyone comes around for a barbecue, some beers and shit, Seth doing his weird thing by the pool, nick and David dancing, fuck knows, who cares, I want the fun family vibe back man.
I’m a huge fan of SnD. I like the adrenaline rush when you are in like a 1v1 and your whole team is counting on you to survive. I think that’s why I also love Fortnite because you got one life and you gotta be on your toes at all times.
Bro I live in Seattle, there is plenty to do here! Solid food selection, great night life. Just make sure you hit Cap-Hill, Pike Place, Ballard, and 1st ave. You better go to din tai fung restaurant. Everything else should spiral out accordingly...Hope to see you boys at CWL
nick you should talk to hutch or watch some of his videos where he explains what happened with machinima. I think you could learn a lot from how he went through that experience and what he learned
I think there is an age/life style gap here. Hecs is about business, moving to suburbs and having space for the family. The guys want to go out, do crazy staff and live in cool place. they are totally in different face in their lives...and that is completely ok. However one should organise staff so that people can focus on the staff they enjoy. I think hecs maybe forgot a bit what these young guys need and where they are in their life. You should not put them in office space cubicle.
If you guys all had apartments literally on top of each other or next door so you could have your own safe haven but you are close enough that you'd feel like you are living together. We need an OpTic Complex
So if you wanted to get Recon armor in Halo 3, you had to buy the new $60 Halo 3: ODST and complete the milestones to get the Recon head. It was online co-op but that's it.
1:44:55 looks like hitch has a new documentary series to work on lol id honestly love to see that though definitely test the waters to so if you can make it happen
Just so you know wow is still pretty big, but compared to back in the day it’s probly at its lowest point players wise, but it’s still decently popular, and new expansion on the way so it will glow up for a bit
please no we dont want to be like faze. That being said I wouldn't mind a mansion in Texas.. content is better with everyone together like the scuff house. Question is how long.... these fools just gave up after 1 year at the Scuff House
It was Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It was released and i believe! that the multiplayer wasn't launch ready. Another big title that had a long wait for multiplayer was Grand Theft Auto V.
I started using KB/M with Fortnite after using a controller for literally 20 years like I'm sure you guys have, and it was super tough at first getting used to the number keys and shift and ctrl, but building is easy as pie. Just use side mouse buttons for walls and stairs. I've had Fortnite since October but I stop playing for days or weeks at a time and it's hard to get back into because it feels like everyone else is playing for 8 hours a day. That said, last night I was drunk and after not playing for about 3 weeks I hopped on and won my first game with 10 kills. Don't know how, I forgot how to build, my sens felt strange, etc.
Unfortunately, because the company got some nice compensation to partner with Frisco, you are stuck in the suburbs. Living in Fort Worth or Dallas would be just an insane difference. You can easily travel to either city, and there is a TON of outdoors stuff to do with an 30minute to 1 hr travel. And you can do weekend trips to Austin, Houston, San Antonio easily too.
My question is, if you would move to LA What would you do differently there besides collabs. Have a plan, execute it, motivate each other. You guys can influence so many people. Do it for the people, and I think you’ll find fulfillment in that.
i just wish you guys would capitalize on all the opportunity you get. you have a platform use it to the fullest make your money man i wanna see you succeed get some fucking merch too its your fucking time!
Do the OpTic Offices close at night?, if not then why don't you, Maniac, ask Hecz to find you a little office there and have your streaming setup there so you can rage and scream as all night
Love you guys but I'm just gonna chirp Nick as usual because Nick we WANT you to enjoy content creation cause you're great at it! You sounding a little salty because you KNOW you could be in Jack's position. And I get you don't love it but don't sit there pretending like you "could" do it. You could've and you didn't. That being said, you'll never being "hopping on the streaming bandwagon" because you've been there and had success. So get back at it Nick. I'm missing it.
Farming is just an old term to describe a player or players completing a task repeatedly for a reward, material etc; that is usually either not challenging or that they have mastered.
Someone said this a while ago (I think it was Ninja) and it was that Fortnite will “die” when people get too good at the game and you have to build a mansion every fight which is so true
I understand that there is only so much that can be shared with the fans and viewers but could you guys or hecz go some way to explaining why you can’t change what you’re not happy with, what are the share percentages and how much can you do. Atm it seems like the investors don’t care what you think in the end
Have you guys even tried to go anywhere in the area? Like actually go there, instead of just looking it up? Might be surprised of the gems in the area or even an hour away for vlog content. I'm sure if you moved to LA you still wouldn't make the best out the situation.
I dont understand why you guys arent doing what the creatures used to do. they all had their own rooms in a house like the scuf house but all went to work in an office building that had sound proofed rooms so they could all record seperately, and had one large conference room that they set up for live streams where they would all gather or a majority would gather and stream or the room would be used for stuff like optic plays. what Optic is doing is not them inventing it, it has been done already now and Optic needs to take some notes.
if u guys would look into save the world its actually pretty dope lol, what nick described about wow is pretty accurate there is rare weapons that are hard to get and all that
You guys just gotta bite the bullet and start driving into Dallas/Fort Worth and doing some stuff. Or just take lil mini vacations across the state to make content
I think the grass is always greener, but I do think it sucks that you guys can't yell and stuff for making videos cuz of apartments, honestly, I think just get like a group of 5-7 of you guys and rent out a house in LA, nothing fancy, get something similar to 6050 so you could afford it but make sure everyone has their own room. If it goes well, a year later you could re-expand into a larger house. Go to LA starting at step 0 and see if things start to catch traction.
Flycast > Optic Podcast
Nick, the only thing stopping you from being great is yourself.
You literally have the whole bag to be that person but you refuse to open said bag.
Literally my favorite optic content
couldnt agree with you more
its up there for me
Lol that's not saying alot
This is the only series I ever comment on because I love you two. Keep it up, you guys are the best duo in optic.
Lets be honest here. Hecz got everyone excited about moving to Texas so that he could go fishing.
as a fan of optic i personally love the underdog story, watching the cod team throughout bo2 and into ghosts build up the hype and love of watching the guys and when they won the first xgames it was the most hype moment ever and once they started winning everything it stopped being fun to watch because they were just so dominate you always knew what was going to happen they were going to win. the underdog cinderella story is always more fun to be a fan of which is why when the teams are struggling as a fan i get it its what happens you just have to trust the process and the success is coming. Have you ever had a job? Serious Q, how old are you?
you do realize when he retired from halo, he said it was to make content for OpTic, he literally did sign up for it.
Keaton Slattery he doesn't get paid by optic to upload to his personal channel, he's paid to be in the optic content, the trivias, plays with things, optic podcast all that stuff. Nothing to do with his personal channel

Seattle boys lmao we the true party people
nick you should talk to hutch or watch some of his videos where he explains what happened with machinima. I think you could learn a lot from how he went through that experience and what he learned
I love that kid impression at the beginning.
Dude i fucking love these long flycasts
Im so excited WHAT THE FUCK LETS GO
I would totally watch a documentary series on the "Founding Fathers" of CoD and Halo. That is such a good idea tbh
i wanna see the homie nick winning, he just needs to get some motivation to grind
I think there is an age/life style gap here. Hecs is about business, moving to suburbs and having space for the family. Hitches description of optic fans at 1.29:00 is spot on. I watch literally all Optic teams play. Mostly CSGO though.
Don't talk about it, be about Kersh. Better late than never.
But never late is better..
So if you wanted to get Recon armor in Halo 3, you had to buy the new $60 Halo 3: ODST and complete the milestones to get the Recon head. It was online co-op but that's it.

Ahhh another episode of the best Optic Podcast
Come to Fry Street in Denton, TX
Can we get two of these every week!!
Maniac is that friend who hit the blunt for the first time and it took over his life lol
I love S&D, I like playing the chess/mind game, I love the felling that you get when u clutch up a 1v4 the hype you get from it
Just so you know wow is still pretty big, but compared to back in the day it’s probly at its lowest point players wise, but it’s still decently popular, and new expansion on the way so it will glow up for a bit
Man U really make my day better
LA OpTic mansion. Make it happen boys.
Simon Brouwer lmao no, that’s just begging to be like Faze
Even if they moved, they wouldnt do shit
please no we dont want to be like faze. That being said I wouldn't mind a mansion in Texas.. content is better with everyone together like the scuff house. Question is how long.... these fools just gave up after 1 year at the Scuff House

Pon Pon intro is a must now

Solid podcast dudes. Why don’t you get an Airbnb in Dallas or Austin for a week/weekend to create some fresh non-Frisco content?
Hell yeah taking a hit of the crack pipe and zoning out to a brand new fly cast!!
That’s just not realistic
My question is, if you would move to LA What would you do differently there besides collabs. Have a plan, execute it, motivate each other. You guys can influence so many people. Do it for the people, and I think you’ll find fulfillment in that.
Nick you need to stop procrastinating and 'just do it!' stream 4-5 hours on twitch and upload highlight videos from your stream :)
I POP IN LIKE 15 MIN IN AND HEAR @Optic Maniac SAY "ive just been let down so many times" LMAO i almost exited yotube altogether. . lol
youtube*
i just wish you guys would capitalize on all the opportunity you get. you have a platform use it to the fullest make your money man i wanna see you succeed get some fucking merch too its your fucking time!
can i just say first thing i see is maniac doing pon pon made me laugh so hard lol
Do the OpTic Offices close at night?, if not then why don't you, Maniac, ask Hecz to find you a little office there and have your streaming setup there so you can rage and scream as all night
Cristian Ornelas good idea!
Were living in Maniac's world
Nick procrastinates so much
Nick you have the skill to be up there with the best you just don't have the drive lol. To be hosted you first have to stream haha
Best content in Optic.
Whaaat??? Is there a link for the drunk stream of Maniac???
Jack is on the grind, he’s so motivated
best Optic content
Nick should move to LA, just to see how he would live in that environment and not the Midwest
That intro tho.
Nick, 44:00, that’s getting near the realm of the Division
Hitch fkn NAILS it at 1:10:00
Love you guys but I'm just gonna chirp Nick as usual because Nick we WANT you to enjoy content creation cause you're great at it! Does anyone have the clip where Nick killed Myth?
Maniac jelly that Ninja hosted Jack.
best podcast in optic

the old pc game that helped start esports your thinking about is quake
Get your stream on Nick, there's no time better than now.
Have you guys even tried to go anywhere in the area? Like actually go there, instead of just looking it up? Might be surprised of the gems in the area or even an hour away for vlog content. I'm sure if you moved to LA you still wouldn't make the best out the situation.
There is no chance that has happened.
Far Cry 5 is a really good game
I dont understand why you guys arent doing what the creatures used to do. they all had their own rooms in a house like the scuf house but all went to work in an office building that had sound proofed rooms so they could all record seperately, and had one large conference room that they set up for live streams where they would all gather or a majority would gather and stream or the room would be used for stuff like optic plays. what Optic is doing is not them inventing it, it has been done already now and Optic needs to take some notes.
If you did a video on the founder farthers of COD you’d have to add in Woody and Wings
if u guys would look into save the world its actually pretty dope lol, what nick described about wow is pretty accurate there is rare weapons that are hard to get and all that
Best podcast.

It is just like any other game guys, you have to practice the game. You'd play it more if you could build as good as you shoot.
Counting the amount of times they say ( like ) SMFH
i think it easy to see nick just drag down hitch
You guys just gotta bite the bullet and start driving into Dallas/Fort Worth and doing some stuff. Or just take lil mini vacations across the state to make content
I NEED THE VIDEO OF MANIAC THROWING UP MAN I MISSED THIS (IN NICKS VOICE) FUCK!
Listening to you talk about wow while playing wow lmao
I Live for this 🙏
I think the grass is always greener, but I do think it sucks that you guys can't yell and stuff for making videos cuz of apartments, honestly, I think just get like a group of 5-7 of you guys and rent out a house in LA, nothing fancy, get something similar to 6050 so you could afford it but make sure everyone has their own room.
