Love the setup, especially the Sheers behind the TQ. I might have to snatch that idea for when my safelife vest comes in. I just ordered some Zero9 Holsters for it. Got a cuff case, flashlight and radio holder. They're made out of Kydex.
Thanks man. I have been looking at zero9 for a while. They make some legit gear. Let me know what you think when you get your order in from them. I will probably end up getting something from them.
J.D. Herd For sure. Once the pouches come in I’ll let you know what I think. I’m still waiting for my safelife vest to ship out. I ordered the same one you have. Excited to get it.
For level 3 soft armor ..... I like Point Blank outer carriers .... Tactical / First Responder ..... I like where the pockets are placed .... As far as the plates use soft level 3 .... They move and breath better ..... That's just me .....
Hey Great Review Thinking about pairing this with Maybe a white/black tshirt or hoodie On Cold days I Do Plain Clothes Bodyguard Protection Do you think The black would go Good with Basic outfits?
I get exactly what you are talking about. The Velcro does close it off completely and adds another level of security during transport. Keep in mind there are other TQs on the market that are from reputable companies that have the windlass with an open hook that secures it. That is one of the driving reasons for why I removed it. And it solved the issue of the exposed hook catching on things. It's a compromise and something I debated on for a while before I did it. It comes down to the individual and their needs.
Drag handle on the back would be my preference. Also I'd like to know if any of the extra equipment on the mag pouch compromise your reload speed or get in the way?
Unfortunately it doesn't come with a drag handle on the uniform carrier. I am however able to move in this better than having a fully loaded duty belt. This is definitely a more effective way to carry essential equipment. This all comes from my personal experience in the field and on the range. And no it doesn't affect my reload time. As long as you plan the layout and test each iteration, you shouldn't have equipment in the way because you know what works best for you.
@@limasierraone7107 like I said, it is there for a reason. It is supposed to be there to keep the tourniquet locked in place after it has been applied. It is not supposed to be removed for any reason!
@@chrislinder7558 you're absolutely welcome. Just know that the carrier as mentioned in my video is made out of polyester and will age quicker than Nylon. There are options for custom after market carriers out there. This will get you started though until you can get a better carrier for the armor.
All the soft pouches except for the radio pouch are from 511. The radio pouch is a cheap pouch from Russia that I ordered through Amazon , good quality though. The tourniquet holder is just a generic gen 7 CAT tourniquet kydex holder I do not know the brand because I bought it from a surplus store near me and I couldn't find a mark telling who made it. Hope that helps.
Also something to note... The tourniquet holder comes with one malice clip. When I got it I actually bought two identical tourniquet holders because I have more than one tourniquet. I didn't like how it was riding on my vest with just one malice clip so... the back of the tourniquet holder has multiple attachment points so I found out that I could use two malice clips on the same holder using the other malice clip from the other holder and I rides much better on my vest.
@@limasierraone7107 Yes this definitely helps. I'll look into those pouches! Any possible way you have the link to the radio pouch? Curious to see if it would work well. Thanks so much again for the info!

How were you able to get your badge to attach to the vest? It doesn’t look like there’s a spot for one when I look at the pictures on Safelife’s website
There are two bar tacks... (reinforced stitching similar to a button hole)where the badge would go. Just pop the safety pin of the badge through thoes bar tacks.
Hey sorry for the late reply. There is a bit of molle on the side of the mag pouch. I suggest attacing the radio pouch with a malice clip. Hope that helps.
Amazing and helpful video for someone who is trying to figure out how and what to put on the same SafeLife vest ! Thank you 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
one of the few that know how to set things up and give me ideas. thanks
Thank you for your service. I have one as well. I’m a security officer too. God bless.
Well thought out set-up! Gear placement looks instinctual
Thanks! I've had some good teachers and some of it came from experience in the field.
I think it's a nice setup.. also a very realistic and sensible one.
Thanks
Looking to buy one very soon, amazing video/review. Helped a lot, thank you!
Good to see this I was looking at one to see home much I could take off my belt
It's definitely a game changer.
Thank you for this video explain so much I'm order mine soon best $721 I can spent for work and my safety

It depends on how much concealment matters to you
New drinking game. One shot with every “you know”
With mine I added my own velcro to the back for my identifier
Very nice 💯
Great set up! I like your mind set in where you place stuff and why.

What size did you get and what size are you . Safelife size charts are incorrect
I'm thinking about buying this vest from safelife
The armor itself is great and the carrier is comfortable.
