Welp... I'm an idiot and installed the spindle wrong (Thanks @CWFoffroad for catching that!) uniball mis spacers go INSIDE the spindle...not under it. Thanks for the support 'ohana. Aloha 🤙🏽
2020 sierra 4 piston calipers and rotors to match I had to use 1/8 spacer bolts right up
Hey not sure if this is you but I got an email saying that I am a winner in a contest. this person has the same logo as you but the channel is different.
Here is the link just in case it isn't you and you would like to report them to UA-cam.
ua-cam.com/channels/qHPDpTcYkyGUbVb8jCic-A.html
If you don't mind, please let me know if this isn't you so that I can stop talking to them.
@@jaygod6140 I’d be interested in a small video if you could make one . I have a 2018 I want the bigger 4 piston brakes on the newer silverados
I wonder if this (or a kit available!) Would work on my 1993 Silverado.
I'd like to have this type of off-road performance in my trucks suspension.
Glad to see there's something for front,
Anything to update/upgrade the rear suspension to same level?
I like both the blues but please don’t do the white wheels!
I second this!
Mark me down as 3rd then.
4th
5th goddamn it.
6th lol
I’m digging the blue wrap on the truck. I think a brushed look or like a raw aluminum looking wheel would look great with that color over the white
The satin chrome is crazy!!!!
The dark blue is the perfect color. Do the color match. Great video as always!
Pre runners are nothing but 2wd so that’s perfect! Now that your going “pre runner” with the rado I recommend you go with 37s on 17 inch method race wheels! Cali style 🤘🏽
Where I live, there's few long travel trucks. Everyone get 4" and 6" lift kits. Big, blocky junk. Long travel kits just make sense. More clearance, that's usable. 💙💙
Dk if I would call that a long travel truck
Always majorly life motivational..... I satin blue more , and the white ... I'm building a 94 ram 12v Cummins dually and white + blue.... always majorly life motivational with the kids , I have 3 myself and love helping me....
🤙🏽🤙🏽
I have power stop upgraded rotors and ceramic pads on my lifted ‘15 Tahoe w/ 35’s and they work amazing. Stop better than factory when I was on stock tire size.
Keep the stock color to start and possibly change it after. I love the darker stock color with the rims you use and the stance it’s gonna get
Wish I had your energy love how you are with the details and having balls to do what u do on these expenses vehicles
Crazy as hell how far you’ve came along man, I remember finding you when you were installing the leveling kit on this exact Silverado. Living the dream bro. Keep it up 🙏🏽
Glossy blue
Color matched and definitely no white wheels black all the way
Check out the 2019 silverado trailboss brakes. Great upgrade and less money then doing a brembo kit.
Satin chrome blue
Stock color with darkish wheels gets my vote, keep it classic and mean looking. Definitely not white wheels.
Your awesome, you have inspired me to do some thing with my truck. Wish I won the lottery to do everything. So I could do it all. My opinion leave it stock with little Trible wrap accents. The stock is perfect but your call but I trust your opinion. Your the matter. Good job on the install hope it works!! Really enjoyed your Chanel for the last 6 years
Much appreciated!
Absolutely awesome, nice build cant wait to see the video when u test it out, congrats
Great job on the truck. It is really coming together nicely! Hope to one day get a similar lift kit on my GMC Sierra. For brakes I know GM makes a big brake upgrade kit with Brembo.
Do the wheels Cadillac grey prismatic powders!!
I prefer the satin but both are awesome
Gloss blue, no white!!
Dumb question but are you suppposed to have that grease on the uniballs joints or more of a spray Teflon lubricant? The Teflon lubricant prevents dirt (tries to) getting in there because it dries
Yep you shouldn’t be using grease. Grease attracts dirt into the races and wears the ball down.
Satin
For performance brakes I've been looking into the power stop z36 brakes it comes with drilled and slotted rotors and carbon ceramic pads. If you want more brake force you could try and swap over like corvette calipers and rotors or Camaro I've seen both done and they look amazing. Besides that you can always get a Big Brake kit but those aren't cheap and run in the 2500-5K range which to expensive for me.
Powerstops made my Jeep JK on 35s stop on a dime.
@@zachconroy1443 i got a 09 gmc sierra 1500 do u think i should spend the money to get the brakes and rotors?
@@michaelrizzo7322 I'm glad I did the rotors. I think they help and they look awesome
@@michaelrizzo7322 definitely would recommend the z36 kit from power stop i got them on my 14 ram and they work great
I have power stop big brake kit on my 03
Go that satin bright blue, but not white wheels.
Talk about a cliff hanger!
I’m sure this has been said. But wrap it the teal color like the vinyl on the Camaro
Awesome video Chad, you are the man putting in the hours on this epic build. I have to say though you might've bought that from Wainae, good thing you not on the islands anymore with the way this truck is gonna look it would for sure be back in Wainae somewhere in Hakimo Rd. stolen. Anyways continue with this epic build sir. Aloha from Kansas.
😂😂😂 end up back in Waianae... facts. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
What’s the reason you went with this setup on this one and not the trail boss?
Plan is to learn and make the mistakes on this one and then move on to the Trail Boss. Didn't want to be doing this for the first time on a new truck. 🤙🏽
Glossy❤
Left fender glossy
That's a NASTY setup...H1 rated for sure!
The dirt King alignment lock they won't work on a lifted truck I bought them for my truck and then found that out
Glossy hands down but definitely not white rims
Let’s gooo
Police break's off Tahoe interceptor and they are cheap and in stock at most auto part's!
Stock color
Gloss blue.. and please no white wheels
A lot of prerunners are 2WD
Definitely go gloss metallic blue ! And No white wheels. Gross lol
Damn lol they send you that whole kit for I can only imagine thousands of dollars and they don't even send you a sheet of instructions
Glossy blue
I like the glossy look better, but either one looks sick!
Personally I would go glossy but both look awesome!
Glossy metallic easy!!!! That color is wow!
Dude I’m so stoked about this kit😍 it’s so sick🤤 I want to see it with the wheels on so bad hahaha, and as for the colour I’d paint match the fenders but that’s my personal preference. Either way it’s gonna look amazing, awesome job!
I’m super proud of you and how far you’ve come man 💪🏾 such a humble and awesome guy🤙🏼🤙🏼
🤙🏽🤙🏽
You should go with a darker blue sorta like the original paint.or just not blue,i think it’s too much blue… but do what ever you want!
More glossy metallic buddy!!! 👍
Bitchin lift on the blue lagoon, but I'd trade in the crackerjack box welder and get a handy Lincoln 180 welder and run argon gas to get them nice cleaner welds...🤙🏽🤙🏽
Keep up the great work and practice makes PERFECT..
The metallic will hide imperfections better. As well as not show age in the sun as much. When I think of the satin color, I think of everyone’s hoon’d and clapped 350z that’s wrapped.
Glossy wrap, not a fan of the white wheels..and I feel black would be boring. I’d just find something different to stick out of the crowd!
Don’t wrap it, also use 2021 brakes and up 1500, find some from your tail boss
Bro. I do concrete in west tx. Let me do your shop slab. Ill give you a playa price
Go metallic blue but that’s a no go on the white wheels. I would go with a bronze or gray titanium color wheel bro!
I dont like the white wheels but at the end of the day, it's different and you don't see it everyday. Also it is your truck lol
If you swap the coilovers over to the other side the logo will be facing the correct way👍
I thought of that, but the fittings on the shocks are directional. I want some blue emblems on these anyway 😎
Factory blue paint match everything sexy and god please no on the white wheels
Will be more money but you should get printed vinyl satin blue and your stalk color as details
Power stop breaks are verry nice for the price they have full kits calipers and all.
I have basically the same truck just a year newer and would love to have this on mine
Most off-road trucks in are 2wd so don’t matter unless u have f u money
Gloss blue I do prefer OEM blue tho not digging white wheels
The build is turning out nicely, I can't wait to see the final results. On an unrelated note, I think you may now be dealing with Telegram scammers trying to impersonate you and phish off of your viewers.
From what I understand, the 2022 Silverado calipers and rotors fit, giving you a 4 piston caliper with a larger rotor for pretty cheap. Might as well do braided lines. You can also go with big break kits from Willwood or something if you want to spend a lot. Keep in mind your wheel size because clearance could be an issue. For rear breaks you can upgrade to calipers and rotors from the Tahoe of the same generation with pretty much no modifications and theres a way to do the swap without pulling axels. I have a sierra from this generation and Im planning on doing these upgrades myself someday . Hope this helps
Theres also a company called CTSV break swap and they sell a kit to swap C6 ZO6 calipers onto these trucks lol
The front and rear brakes from 2019 and newer GMC/Chevy 1500 trucks are almost a direct install for the older version (99-08) GM trucks. One downside is that you will have to grind away some of the caliper material (just extra metal really) to make things fit up snug and factory looking. Yes, they are 4 piston calipers and much larger rotors/pads to go with it, which also means having 18 inch (minimum) rim size is required for use of those brakes. 1000% better than OEM brakes from that era GM truck and a relatively inexpensive upgrade for anyone to do.
Getting the parts and equipment ready to do it on my 01 Silverado Z71 for this coming new year project.
Yeah I'm probably going to go with an 18" wheel (even though 17" is most common for PreRunner trucks) just to be able to fit a better brake setup. Thanks for the reco!
Super helpful! Thank you. (I might just steal my wife's brakes off her truck 😅)
@@LonestarHawaiian LOL. Yeah it’s a good clean swap. I’m so hyped for your build, planning on doing essentially the same setup to my truck ( If I win the lottery lol) but I would love a video on whatever break upgrade you end up doing because there isn’t a lot of info available on YT.
Satin blue for the win, but silver or brushed wheels instead of white.
Not a fan of the white where, put some beadlock replicas on
No white wheels please! But the bright disruptive blue is hard af
Glossy blue but idk about white wheels 😬 just an opinion
Satin chrome
Get some polished methods and some Toyo Open country’s
Love the wrap but leave original color for tribal. Like make your own custom touch like you did with your OEM headlights…
Good call!
Brotato
Don’t lube uniballs…. Uniballs are coated, and they are intentionally stiff when first installed
You’re going to cause dirt to stick to your uniballs and wear them out
They are a consumable as well
You can get replacement uniballs when those wear out; from CWF, Dirt King, Ruff Stuff, Camburg and Kartek
Glossy
I like the gloss blue color better tan the flat color for sure.
I need to just bite the bullet and buy a long travel kit for my 08 silverado. Can't wait to see your final review of the CWF kit
Leave the stock color ! Midnight blue
Glossy if you’re going to keep it dirty most of the time
Satin chrome blue is more appealing.
The glossy blue over satin blue for me.
I like the glossy.
Satin blue wrap. No white wheels!
Color match it and leave it the original color
Love seeing your boys help out. Creating memories and special bonds. I grew up without my dad, wish I could have had that experience with him.
SATIN!! n ditch the wheels
Metallic but not white wheels 😅
Not a big fan of the white wheels.
Power Stop K15218DK-36 - Z36 Severe-Duty Truck and Tow 1-Click Front And Rear Brake Kit. I have these on my 2007 GMC Yukon that I use everyday, Overlanding, Off-roading, and Towing. Honestly my truck brakes better with these brake towing our 16" bowrider boat then with the OEM brakes not towing anything!!!
Both blues are nice. My preference is a gloss finish, but please no white wheels. Since its the pre runner look how about a simulated bead lock wheel of some sort. Keeps with the theme.
She's getting new wheels for sure. Just deciding between the methods and some fuel wheels they have out there.
@@LonestarHawaiian i have had methods and loved them. Plus they are a very well constructed wheel, very heavy duty.
Wow, that's looking killer! I haven't heard anything in awhile about the new garage/man cave, what's the status? I'm getting ready to start my dirt work on my new garage/man cave, yea!
Yessah braddah 👏🏼
I know you read all your comments and I just want to say thanks for your videos. I have a 2008 chevy silverado 4x4 doeskin tan and I relate to your videos and want to do some of those things to my truck but don't feel comfortable winging it lol. Then I would have to take it to the shop to get fixed lol. Leveling kit, rims, and tires and that's changed the look big time.
Continue on man and I'm waiting for that shop tour! 🙂
🤙🏽🤙🏽
Custom offsets has willwood big brake kit only downside is 20s is smallest wheel size you can run. Totally worth it. Done the same kit on every truck I've owned due to towing or hard braking
Awesome job man! I would go with the PowerStop rotor and pad kits, they have the best kits out there! Very sexy drilled and slotted rotors and amazing performance.
Power stop z36 brakes
You need to make more videos
Keep the dark blue paint
