- From Pulwama to Afghanistan, Indian and Pakistani intelligence agencies are in a constant state of battle over perceptions, strategic matters and influence.
Few have uncovered the role and dealings of these powerful intelligence agencies as thoroughly as investigative journalist Adrian Levy, who examines the hidden world of India's Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in his latest book, co-authored with Cathy Scott-Clark, 'Spy Stories: Inside the Secret World of the RAW and ISI'
In an extensive interview with THE WEEK's Senior Special Correspondent Namrata Biji Ahuja, Levy talks about the implications of the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan for India-making the point that the Taliban has never been an enemy to India, though attacks like Pulwama have been planned from Afghanistan. He also talks about the Kulbhushan Jadhav case and how he ended up jammed between spy wars of two sides.
