He really was robbed at the 2019 WYYC finals. The first person ever to do an entire routine soloham while making minimal mistakes and only got 7th because the judges didn't know how to score it.
Lol, youtube recommended that video to me, I never searched for anything yoyo related and don't even do anything related to yoyo, but after watching his routine, and then all the rest of that year, and then literally anything else I can find, he was definitely robbed, I feel like 5th place from that competition was robbed too, Rei winning was alright, but Hajime and Quinten should have been 2nd and 3rd. But it was really cool in this video to see him land the 360 double hop he tried at the end of the 2019wyyc routine. If he landed it in the competition he would have won for sure, still he should have been top 3.
Just because of how the judging system is set up, hajime was number 1 for difficulty but rei just games the system - Id love to see hajime break soloham in regards to the scoring system
The judges scored it the way they were supposed to score it. There's different divisions each with their own rules. If they start giving one person a pass then suddenly you're going to have others doing it too. Then there won't be any point in having divisions, and that would just discourage more people from specializing in a particular style. Hajime Miura (3A champ) showcased his excellent soloham talent which is great but 4A has its established rules, yet at the same time a soloham-only division isn't realistic because the talent pool isn't broad enough. So it is what it is.
@@poppinc8145 just want you to know that I like the way you worded that. This seems to happen a lot in yoyoing and I like it when people can give a real response that makes sense like this without sounding hateful or anything about it. Plus I agree with what you said. Hajime might have had the dub in difficulty but he didn't use the scoring system to its full capacity at the moment. That doesn't mean his freestyle wasn't a legendary performance and is something that I'm sure will go down as history in the yoyo world.
There's many great yo-yo players if you watch the competitions. So there shouldn't be an anime focusing on one person, but a new anime about yo-yoing in general would be awesome and bring mainstream interest back. It's amazing that just when yo-yoing is better than ever before there is a lack of mainstream interest and sponsorship or even state funding for the sport.
Hajime was born in Oct 2003 and won the Worlds for the first time in Aug 2014.emmmm....Takeshi's birthday is July 1997 and he won the World Champ in Aug 2008. So obviously, as the title says, Hajime is the youngest World yoyo champion.
I have been following Hajime for a long time. He is awesome and has grown up right in front of us. I'm 60 and I find him a very interesting talent.
Watching HAJIME is always Fun and crazy 😮😮Love this Guy from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
He went from a chubby kid to a handsome man.
This guy could probably win every division
