Those 14 years facing 2 almost invincible fellow competitors... He could have given up at any point & have missed this opportunity. This is a competition & he 100% deserves it. Great freestyle!
I guess this is the biggest interval between world yoyo titles, right? I mean, Mickey was 6 years between 2006-2012 titles, Gentry was 5 years... But 14 years is a new record, Mir Kim was only 2 at the time!
Excellent control and mistake recovery. Congrats on getting another world title after all these years. Very few yoyoers can stay at the forefront of yoyoing for so long
@@jktronguly Yeah, im not even a crazy hajime fan and i still feel really bad for him. what's weird is that after a few hours, hajime seemed completely fine. In fact, i prolly took his loss worse than he did
@@daniellegge1687 I'm not a huge fan of Yoyo, but I've watched all of Hajime's routines in every WYYC + most of his Japanese tournament's performances. This year is the first time I've ever seen him being like that, it went from "oh no he choked" to "is this even Hajime?" real quick
Hajime got unlucky and dethroned himself, trying to push the absolute limits of his abilities to attempt to dominate first place. Minato won fair and square, but all miracles must come to an end.
@@xsolar Still takes commitment to keep on top of your game on the off chance the best in the world has bad luck that year. "2nd best" is still incredible enough to deserve the spot. Dude still definitely earned it.
i remember when takeshi got lose, he is the defending champ but lose in 2015 and return and become champ again i think same to hajime he will return more stronger

World champion again after 14 years, congratulations !
I have waited to see him crowned again. It finally happened ❤

Takuma Inoue had an 8 year gap, more than either Mickey or Gentry, but even that's barely half of this.

Excellent routine. Hope to see Minato and Hajime at full strength for next year! 👑🪀👑🔥
I was at worlds this year in person, and trust me, hajime's routine was soul crushing. I won't spoil anything tho
damn I actually watched the whole livestream video just to find Hajime's performance because of this comment... Boy oh boy it feels bad as his fan :(

@@daniellegge1687 I think Hajime got bored of winning and tried throwing out the most difficult tricks possible as a "if it works, it works" move
What a redemption story
Well deserved 👏
Consistency has improved soooooooooooooooooooo much and finally got that GT-jump whip again!

first person in 10 years managed to dethrone Hajime.
To be fair, hajime kinda dethroned himself this year
@@xsolar yeah
@@xsolaryes the only way to defeat Hajime is to make him switch 3 times. He will come back with new arsenals next year as always.
