Good points Alena for anyone wanting such a smooth background. The thing with acrylic paint is that it is fast drying and there is always the tendency to have visible brushstrokes, if you can't easily eliminate them then embrace them and make them a feature of your work. Either way, it will require practice.
There are also tons of different mix in mediums. There is a mix in called retarder which slows the dry time of acrylic paint or slow-dri fluid. There Gec100 to to thin and extend, acrylic flow medium to also help the texture and viscosity. Liquitex and Golden make a ton of great additives.
Well, I'm not an expert. I use this brand amzn.to/2IZU8qM and this amzn.to/34pNiDj , they both are professional. I know that Liquitex is a good brand with various paints, and I also saw some good reviews about Arteza, but as I hadn't tried them, I don't know how opaque and creamy are these paints in real life
I have a lot of acrylic paint of different brands and I have a fair few of deco art brand and some of them are smooth and some of them are just not good 😩
Apple Barrel is the worst. It is literally from the bottom of the barrel. I do not understand why someone would put good time into a project with bad paint! Spend a little bit more and use decent paint!

Do you find better results with gouache?

Merci Alena de nous faire profiter de ton expérience
