My medication is expensive and if you cant afford it - you risk clotting then dying. it is so absurd that USA, supposedly the greatest country in the world does not even have a universal healthcare system, it being the only developed country in the world to not have one. The private healthcare sector wouldnt be so powerful if the government had a universal healthcare system. Even something like Medicare would help the citizens a lot. here in australia, we have medicare and whenever i go to a doctor for anything, instead of paying something like $100+, i only pay around 40 for the visit, and all i have to do is swipe my medicare card

My son was denied any treatment relating to autism. We pay 100% out of pocket. Finally the insurance changed the policy and now will cover all autism services up to the age of 14. My son just turned 14.

@tannergeorge We don't pay more because of insurance. We pay more because doctors want to be paid more money to counter what they feel they should be paid by insurance. If insurance pays 60%, we should be paying the 40%. The issue is sometimes its denied/delayed due to errors with the claim or other bullshit nuances and that there's so many people who can't afford their coinsurance or copay. So now you have hospitals and doctors offices who are now charging more to get what they feel they are owed and putting people in more debt. Doctors are just as much to blame. The whole healthcare system needs a reform and we need universal Healthcare and need to do away with private insurance and private care.

My Mom that's passed away couldn't get an electric chair they kept on Denying her. My Mom couldn't get A home Health Aid for 8-24 hours so I couldn't get a job and had to stay at home and take care of my Mom... and we were poor for those 10 final years... I prayed every day that we would have food on the table. I went to churches and clothing drives and got free food. All because the Health Insurance company wouldn't provide proper care.

@tannergeorge We don't pay more because of insurance. We pay more because doctors want to be paid more money to counter what they feel they should be paid by insurance. If insurance pays 60%, we should be paying the 40%. The issue is sometimes its denied/delayed due to errors with the claim or other bullshit nuances and that there's so many people who can't afford their coinsurance or copay. So now you have hospitals and doctors offices who are now charging more to get what they feel they are owed and putting people in more debt. Doctors are just as much to blame. The whole healthcare system needs a reform and we need universal Healthcare and need to do away with private insurance and private care.
Unfortunately this will be forgotten and the wind unless more and more people start coming out with stories about their horrible experience with United Healthcare like that lady that was in your video I personally had a bad experience myself and I think it would be good if everybody can just get together and start flooding the internet with bad experiences they've had with these big insurance companies not just United Healthcare

United Healthcare isn’t a public entity though. They’re literally a private corporation with no ties to the government.
