@@kevina3372 Felix competed exactly for 2 decades, since 2003 to 2022. Campbell Brown competed for 16 years if we include her relay bronze medal from Sidney 2000 at the age of 18. Though, Campbell Brown was out of the international competition in 2001,2002 and 2003.
Good to see Kerron Stewart hang on to get the bronze. She doesn't get as much credit as she should, but she was a solid runner for Jamaica over the years, especially on those relay teams.

Yang Yang what do U know about Merlene Ottey? From the 80s til 2000 she was very competitive. She anchored the Ja w4x100m relay in Sydney 2000 to silver behind the Bahamas. And at age 40! She won over 60 w100m Consecutively! Can U name any athlete who has done that? Only two women ran faster at 60m than she did. Ottey held the Indoor 200m record for decades!

After Caribbean athletes were recruited to American Colleges, the perspective changed. Now everyone weight trains. Did U notice the high school athletes at the Carifta games? It is apparent that the Ja high schoolers r lifting weights n that combined with natural talent make for superb performances. U needn't wonder how those U17 n U20 records keep falling. The circumstances r different now than they were 30, 35 yrs ago. Must have felt lonely for Merlene, she almost alone against the best Germans, Soviets n Americans. Appreciate that Merlene kept the Jamaican flag flying for decades!
Ms Brown was one of the classy runners performed didn’t talk much I don’t ever hearing her boasting about her victories awesome to see. She remind me of Everlyn Ashford they both kept it classy.

VCB was fourth in Jamaican 100m trial so she ate this 200m race with personal best of 21.74 similarly Felix was fourth in US 100m trails so she ate 200m US trails (21.69) and got gold in 2012. When Felix used to be world champion in 200m, VCB used to be Olympic champion. The moment (2011) VCB became world champion immediately 2012 Felix became Olympic champion. I feel they were the best designed as opposites of same coin who were born to rule 200m from 2004 to 2012.
