The reishi and konpaku gauges seem very similar to dissidia's hp and bravery mechanics. For those unfamiliar with dissidia's mechanics, you have bravery(reishi) and hp(konpaku) attacks. Bravery(reishi) attacks take the damage they deal and subtract it from your opponent's bravery(reishi) pool and add it to your own bravery(reishi) pool, which is a number that is above your hp bar. Hp(konpaku) attacks then subtract your bravery(reishi) from your opponent's hp(konpaku) bar to deal damage. If your bravery(reishi) is higher than your opponent's hp(konpaku) bar you can kill them in one hit from a hp(konpaku) attack.
I love how stylized everything is. The only thing I really need them to hit out of the park is the character selection screen. From what I can tell theyl cook on it. I just dont want something like sparking zero where its generic layouts and 3d models on the select screen instead of cool 2d art like tenkaichi 3
I like the big health bars up there but if they're having more bars below for the special attacks and such, then I think they gotta size them down a little. Overall, love that It looks unique, buying It no doubt.

I am super hyped for a console/PC high quality bleach game BUT I don't like how the UI and fighting looks ... this is giving a floaty MHA/JJK vybes with the gameplay. The UI is massive taking up a ton of the screen. The only thing in my opinion that looks good so far is the visual graphics of the characters, not the attacks or movement so far. I am hoping this is a SUPER ROUGH gameplay trailer and it will look drastically better months down the line but I think as Bleach fans I understand we are happy to get something on console/PC that looks good as this but let's not put on our blinders on for this game and give proper feedback to the devs ASAP on things we find off about it. I see many bleach fans loosing their minds as if the best anime game in history is dropping while in reality it just looks promising( still of the opinion that our first bleach game should have been done by cyberconnect 2 as they already have a ton of experience with Naruto) . The visuals for attacks definitely need an improvement , especially byakuya , his senbonzakura looks like it has way less petals than it should. Also don't understand why Ichigo still had the yellow attack effect when in Bankai, that makes no sense . Also not a big fan of the colors they chose for some attacks , like hyakuteiken looks mid, should have went with anime version .
I don't prefer fighting games. But the most "anime games" that sell well and stays relevant for a long time are undeniably fighting games. The multiplayer and competitive aspect of it keeps average player engage. And that they can play it casually to no end even after the story is done. Single player games like Devil May Cry, can remain as one of the best games out there but their player base and online community is smaller than that of a multiplayer game. And players are fine in shelving the game once they beat the story or platinum it. (That is not bad, but in the anime sphere, if your game or series is not being talk about then they can use that to dunk on your series(

@ChrisMS0815 uhh not really, the visuals and lighting are so intense that the colors appear to wash out on the characters and then with Ichigo charging his Black Energy for the final clash against Byakuya in the trailer you can barely even see the energy due to the environment lighting blending in... hell with a previous trailer we see gradient shifts from dark gray to light gray on the soul reaper's legs, looks awful
I don't know man, the character models looks good but visual effects looks outdated. I don't know how does Soul Resonance which is a mobile game have better visual effects than a new gen console game? I hope it will be polished more tho, I really want a cool bleach fighting game

Arena fighters have more percentage of being bad or good. Even if they are good, the competitive fighting game dudes don't really take them seriously, mostly due to balancing issue. Fighting game though don't have a lot things that can go wrong with it.
