You couldn't be more correct about that! The entire 80's decade was loaded with so many different artists that gave us unique content and would NEVER risk their reputation by putting out garbage or mess up by sounding even remotely similar to another artist. They had to grind so much harder to get signed on a record label, these artists today take so much for granted that they feel entitled to push their absolutely generic sounding tracks on their fans.
Shalom...you ain't never lied ...they were tight...my favorite song by twin hype was do it to the crowd...towards the end of that song...they used part of this song...to basically speed change ...
Not too many people that I knew liked Twin Hype, but my Asian Brothers used to rock this track at our house parties back in the 90's--my college years! Great Track and Memories!
Twin Hype came in under the radar. Almost all of the tracks on the Twin Hype LP were super tight. These guys should have been bigger - some of the tracks on that album were great but didn’t get enough airplay. At least not in the UK.
@djkingshameek: Man this is when times and music were fun. I would spin this @ Carringtons in Stonybrook on Thursdays, college night. thanks for tracks! Great times P.S. now I officially feel old
Producers had more passion for their craft and art back in the day,the influence of that was widespread throughout those times everybody in those times embraced the artists for giving and sharing the love they had music.
what a classic and such an incredible remix, this is the only version i really like :).... reminds me of school days!!! me and my friends rapping to this at school :)... i remember this song getting played so much on MTV and MTV raps....What an incredible era!! ?? time flies crazy fast! seems like yesterday was hearing this., yet this goes back to 1989!!....
I love the part in the clip where Kingshameek is doing that scratch..... I cant hear y'all ....... Could we have a party out there? ..... Yeah.. Wonderfull. Back in the days, i watched that part over and over again. Fantastic. Good memories. Greets from Holland
Dj Kingshemeek and Twin hype when you release this traxx in Chitown it was off the hook all the clubs in CHICAGO played your song cause it was on fire so god bless all 3 for this fresh Classic Hip House Traxx
@djkingshameek All of us djs here in Chicago snagged doubles imediately! This record and Do It To The Crowd are permanent parts of our soundtrack. Peace.

Oh my days. This song and video really broke me into hip hop in a major way. I was 15 and it was the first song I learnt all the words to. I just loved the video. big up to Twin Hype, the amazing King Shameek, King Sun and the Hollywood Impact, Jack! Ay yo Shameek I picked up your 12" with MC Joe the other day - pure hotness. If Twin Hype are back you need to hook up with them, come back and save hip hop!!!
this was such an interesting era! amazing track, still bumpin' i'm not so very much interested in nowadays music, i'm still fueled by all golden oldies records, IMHO all greatest music was done already
That back and forth rhyming style later used by crews like Heltah Skeltah came so natural to twin hype, crazy dope, man y'all were basically kids when this came out, back then I was 15 and saw you guys as older dudes. This hit hard within the Hip-Hop followers here in Dominican Republic back then. Do it to the crowd got some play in then hot spots like Alexander's, La Guacara and Tops disco club. Dope music forever.
This video's location is the High Line in NYC ; it looks completely different today with the Hudson Yards development and those railways turned into a park ! That was a cameo by the late Joe Franklin and the late Richard Belzer !

I was locked up in SC with one of them in cell block back in'93 cant remember which brother but ran the block smoking weed, selling cigs for $1 and fighting. Twin went hard! peace twin hype. King Allah aka DC.
I just fucked a Ukrainian girl to this on a loop here in Ukraine! She said "shut this off and turn on something good". I ignored her. She has bad taste.
Music these days will never be like it was back in the day✊
The only reason you say this is because you are nostalgic and want to think somehow that your memories are the best memories.
