I love how this game is so well paced that Olenky keeps promising to quit *right* as he discovers a new insight that keeps him on the hook. Keep it up my guy!
Omg, just found a new area, immediately jumps in a picture to go back to where you've been before 😂
I feel like I don’t jump into paintings enough haha
It's a pattern, really: finds new area - is immediately terrified, goes back to previous area.
I have that same instinct because I like to understand how I get there and retrace, but it's also easy to get distracted
I adore how you have done your best to solve these purely by yourself, but I highly respect looking up the Olde English words since there was no shot with those. Good for you knowing yourself
There’s some things I know and others I don’t, and Shakespearean English is something my ass don’t know LOL
The yet in the title implies more discoveries will be made in future episodes, therefore future episodes exist :)
It's also capitalized..
Hooray for hindsight (there is more game)
"Bread turns into soup"
There is a bread soup called wodzionka and it's a traditional dish in Silesia
@@truechristian6439 Don't lie, you made most of those words up
@@JD2jr. it does sound starwars as hell
soup is good 👍

All these people going "dinosaur to fossil is so obvious Tyler!" But my ass was screaming "LIZARD"
So I both apologize for being angry and wrong
And I sympathize for not figuring it out
Meanwhile my dumbass was like "ooh gasoline" 💀
I had lizard and extinct not even realising extinct is 7 letters
@@JXero i refuse to believe we are dumbasses 💀
honestly just hearing Olexa just go "GET ME OUT! GET ME OUT" as the outro music played was extremely funny lmao
Ongoing Rules Analysis Summary
(Note: For audience eyes only! While all observations are deduced directly from Olexa's videos, I've noticed some details which he has yet to pick up on.)
=====
Positional Aspects: Top = sound / middle = writing / bottom = meaning
Color Modifications (Quick Recap)
- White: Same (homophone, same word, synonym)
- Black: Reverse (reverse sound/word, antonym)
- Red: Reduce (remove sounds/letters, smaller part)
- Blue: Expand (add sounds/letters, larger part)
- Yellow: Mix-Up (rearrange sounds, anagram, product of mixing)
- Purple: Blue+Red (add+remove sounds/letters, expand+reduce meaning)
- Green: Environmental Clue (find writing/meaning, no top blocks encountered)
Multi-Block/Color Interactions
- Sideways connected blocks apply their rules in sequence
- Blocks in the same column have the same answer
- Blocks with black checkered squares: Reverse color rule
=====
In today's episode, we dive deeper into the orange cipher discovered last episode, as well as an exploration into brown and its black-checkered reverse counterpart.
Orange: Numbers
- Middle: Writing/number cipher (WANDERLUST = 1234567890)
> Sequence of numbers or letters: Convert cipher
> Word + Word: Convert, calculate number, reconvert
(Note: Bottom blocks seen, but not solved; no top block encountered)
Brown: Time Progression
- Middle: Word progressing through time (archaic -> modern)
- Bottom: Meaning progressing through time (prompt becomes answer)
(Note: No top blocks encountered)
Brown+Black: Time Regression
- Middle: Word regressing through time (modern -> archaic)
- Bottom: Meaning regressing through time (prompt came from answer)
(Note: No top blocks encountered)
=====
Known colors not yet explored: Grey, cyan, magenta
Green-Bottom Arrow Paintings Found: Up = North (completed), Down = Fire (completed), Left = Diamonds (found many episodes ago, has yet to be rediscovered), and Right = Winter (not yet completed)
Olexa has not seen a orange top yet. In fact, orange top blocks don't exist in the entire game.
WAIT WHAT
Tyler HAS already seen the last compass painting one?!? When was that?
@@bbittercoffee Episode 2. The room with Hearts, Clubs, Spades.
@@sweetaplle I misremembered the height of the one in the HI room on level 2. I got it mixed up with purple-top, which also had numbers on it (pi to the 11th decimal).
He did note that gray blocks are related to their location and size, though doesn't understand their meaning yet.
ohhhhhhhh brown is kinda cool once i. grasped it. thats neat
spoilers obv:
bottom brown: item + time (acorn -> oak, dinosaur -> fossil, bread -> mold)
middle brown: *word* + time (nigh -> near, betwixt -> between)
and then black is opposite so black-checkered brown is -time
holy crap. neat. what the FRICK is brown top gonna be??? how do u age sounds.
Well yeah you jump through a clock
Very much spoilers below:
There is no official top brown, but there are a couple great theories and concepts.
1) word that sounds like how a word used to be pronounced.
2) word where you undo the Great Vowel Shift (look that up if you don't know it)
@@brendandangelo715the WHAT
Why does that sound so epic? "Great Vowel Shift"
@@bbittercoffee It's the reason English vowels don't sound like what is written. Spelling was codified right before the Great Vowel Shift
That "before" clue was what broke me because I knew I knew the old timey word for it; I wish I had had the sense to just look it up like you did. A couple days of struggling later and I somehow remembered the word "ereyesterday" exists... a word that nobody ever uses. This game sure does stuff to you...
ereyesterday and overmorrow would be some of my favourite words if they had had fewer syllables than "two days ago" and "in two days"
"The intelligent go in the back" 😆
Dad + ale = dead 🥺
Revealing deep-seated trauma, this dev is.
"the intelligent go in... the back"
~ Olexa, 2024
Wisdom of the ages.
the orange may be the hero of the series, hopefully this means it wont end yet
I think since you jumped through the clock painting to get to that brown area, the game is implying that brown is related to the passage of time. Going further, I think the plus and minus symbols imply that solid brown is moving forward in time, while checkered brown/black is moving backwards.
That's why the middle checkered boxes were old spelling of words, cause it's that word being used in the past, while solid browns were present spelling of old words.
Also, in the regards to the purple Light, I think the problem you're having is that you're treating it like a blue block, just adding letters (B-light, F-light) instead of replacing at least one of those letters. Since I don't know if you're continuing this series, I'll still leave my guesses a bit down below.
If I had to guess, I'd say either Fright or, maybe more likely, Bright
For the guesses, yeah I was thinking Fright too, but Bright does make more sense
@@lucasagusti686 I thought of Bright only this episode, I was also on Fright the last one
I also have the feeling it might be bright because all of them seem to be somewhat light related
its a purple-yellow, you can see it in the video. tyler just missed it
I thought maybe twilit, daylit or skylit
Now that he has orange, he can progress through the rainbow tunnel more. Surely one more episode won't hurt...
This might just be my favorite Olexa series up until now!
Please keep 'em coming 🥲
Fyi your notes on brown need to be updated after you completed that section. You learned what brown meant but your incorrect notes really messed you up at the end.
I just visualize WANDERLUST on the top row of my keyboard
Oh wow that's smart
Woooo!
Big episode! So many new things learned. You are actually close to the end of Level 1 and I think that is very achievable for you. I'm talking 1 episode if you're lucky and 2/3 if you are unlucky.
Beating Lingo is not about solving every puzzle, it's about understanding the rules well enough to make it though.
Technically, there is a whole lot left for you to explore, and I do mean *a lot* but most of it is for dedicated players. I'll cheer you on in the next episode!
yeah, by my count, Olexa has about 300 panels left to go, give or take a few. But most of those are pure optional :)
He's avoided purple tut, the fearless, and some other major areas so far, alongside the ones he can't reach (the red, the yellow), challenge room, and the panels he hasn't unlocked yet, in addition to room room which is a big chunk.
Now imagine if you had to do brown.jpg without the picture
I did. It was NOT fun. Brute force method of trying every side passage while observing if I bounced back to a hallway with no arrows.
we're breaking into orange with this one 🙏
update: He found brown hell, and got through it faster than me, praise big brain Tyler... I may have binged this game and at least "finished" Level 1... SPOILER
There's another final word after getting the other Metapuzzles finished... I have not done so as I small brained the numbers behind the walls
I think brown is aging something and black brown is deaging. Since dinosaur to fossil in brown and cat to kitten in black-brown.
plus clock painting suggest it's about time. Since thy time was melted away like in The Persistence of Memory with arrows ah those arrows xD
There's also a really helpful brown tutorial next to another clock painting that he hasn't found...
30:22 Panda? This whole time I thought it was a sheep
32:45 "I have never seen this one." Yeah you just did a few minutes ago when you looked out the window and saw it on the roof.
In what way does it look like a sheep may I ask? For reference, my pfp is a sheep :p
@@godsunit Face on. Two eyes surrounded by white fluff with ears. I still think it looks more like a sheep than a panda. I thought the bamboo in it's mouth was just grass.
@TalixZen I mean fair enough, looked very panda like to me, it reminded me of the minecraft panda texture and the bamboo looks like the runny nose😂
Well done getting Irk Horn so fast
an hour... blessed be... the lingo gods...
Who wants to guess if his brain is more or less cooked by the time he ends each episode than when he began.
Hes so cooked starting the episode.. this is going to be a good one boys and girls
The maze of tiny rooms with brown boxes looked like such a nightmare lol
It was until I mapped it. The rules for what goes where is actually deceivingly simple if you map it out on paper
it actually just makes something like a 3x3 block of square rooms (ish) if you pay attention when he's hugging the right or left wall. the only part that gets a bit tricky is he gets warped around a bit after a while and have to pay attention to what puzzle he ends up on. Also the entrance is on one side and the hallway is on the other side like the jpg shows. if you look at the jpg it shows which exists to take by denoting lines... it's actually pretty straight forward if you piece that all together. but yeah if you just run around like a headless chicken it would be a nightmare
BTW "ere" means before, it is not reversed. You misunderstand the black brown checkerboard
It’s used a lot in traditional church hymns when you need to fit “before” into one syllable. 😃
@@macserv i can get ere and 'twas and o'er, but "heav'ns" i can't see as pronounceable
@@notwithouttext “Heav’ns” is a tough one… you’ll see “heav’n” is a lot more often. It basically just means, don’t say “hea-vens,”do your best to make it a one-syllable word. Choirs will hold the “ea” sound, and cram the rest in when they end the word, eliding it into the next word if necessary. This is one reason I dislike traditional hymns… composers would contract and Yoda-fy the language in order to fit the text into a popular hymn tune. If you have a new text to set into music as an offering to God, write a new tune for it! Or “sing a new song,” as it were.
Dedicated navigator here, you're fricked dude, I'm lost as all hell.
The Intelligent BECOMES The Wise....The Olexa BECOMES The Frustrated Guesser XD
Watching you brute force the hallway puzzle was the first time I’ve ever wanted to take a keyboard from someone
Don’t get me wrong, I barely understand some of the puzzles you do effortlessly (anagrams suck) and I would’ve given up on the combo colors
I wish this game had a map feature like BOTW at the end, the replay feature, so you could see all your manic circling through the hallways and puzzles solved in a timelapse XD
I think a playthrough of "The Witness" would be as much fun as this game, both for the viewers and for you. I think you are a very valuable UA-camr, keep up the good work !!
I’ve unfortunately played it already just not for UA-cam. Brilliant game!
I have no business enjoying this series so much. please keep it coming!
44:12 ...computer, enhance
its a nice clue how they introduced brown word with the painting of a clock
Best Series on youtube right now
discovered that the sunroof rooms are teleporters.
maybe they can teleport you to new areas.
Yess! I’m here for the word content!!
(And a lot of other Olexa content, but still!)
Edit: also the numbers content of course! They shouldn’t feel left out :D
The maze room segment was...quite something
LEVEL TWO is going to be so sick, I can't wait
plus you know there can't just be two levels, so there's at least three.....content for days!
why couldn't there be 2
Updating my notes as I go along:
Top - Phonetic
Middle - Graphemic
Bottom - Semantic
White - Equal
Black - Opposite
Red - Partial
Blue - External
Purple - Similar
Yellow - Mix
Green - Environmental / Inference
Orange - Numerical / (?)Cipher
Gray - Literal / Representative (?)
Brown - Time Progression (Betwixt -> Between, language progression)
Brown Checkered - Time Regression
When you said "two" for the clock painting I thought that was so genius, then you never even tried it!
Okay so brown bottom is something like "this thing turns into:" and brown middle is "this word turns into", and checkered with black is reverse of that
I did not think we would not only figure out orange middle but also bottom brown AND middle brown while also getting a taste of GRAY in a single episode
We have not made this much progress (color wise) since idk, episode 3????
I think it may be related to all the clocks in the area. Time.
I really like all the changes in the game since I've played. Brown used to be much harder to navigate - no arrows nor any painting landmark, IIRC.
You also got to Orange much much faster than me - but that may have been my problem (I had to ask on Discord to find some of the stairway-behind-start sections that are mandatory and that was practically the last thing left in my game, not counting optional sections).
Light on purple can't be Slight or Flight; you keep treating it like a blue but something's gotta be removed (commenting mid episode lol)
Have himself 3 opportunities to use the map and then goes back to start and tries to use map 😂
DAY3: Tyler you must not stop
He just wanted a comforting French onion soup.
Absolutely adoring this series, looking forward to them until they end!!
This guy is just grinding 2 vids a day plus he has an it job 😮
I’ve been doing 2 videos per day for almost 8 years lol. Just this year I cut back to one a day situationally, but there’s too many games right now to play so I had to scale back up to 2 haha
Thank you for solving brown.jpg; that map still haunts me. Now to fire up the game and copy your path.
It’s funny to watch when I’m not the one getting lost.
It makes no sense still lol. I think I got super lucky
Brown blocks are future and brown/black is past
Feels like with enough time a dinosaur becomes a fossil
Dinosaur just made me think corpse lol
i need to remember to comment on every episode bc the series desrves the engagement

Jumps through a clock and...
Ere is probably my favorite word.
Woohoo we figured out all of the qweird colors today!
20:22 all i'll say is that you're not done there.
Just finished the last one, this one is fresh from the oven!! Let's gooooo
I was so convinced that BEFORE would be YON... looks like I need to study ye Olde Englifh as well.
*early modern english
i like the phrase "hither, thither, and yon" because "yon" is just "there" but far, and the "hither-thither" pair (to here/there) fits satisfyingly with here-there and hence-thence, all with the interrogative words: whither, where, whence.
he's almost to the real meat of the game!
Room was wall ceiling and floor
Wow, you were on fire this episode!!!
