Mulan is technically the 1st crossdresser/or trans princess. In the legend of Mulan they didn't find out she was a girl till years after the war when they were looking for the male warrior but found out she was a women.
I wont say trans only because she was never a man inside. She went into a war as a man to save her father and their family’s honour. She proved as a woman she can do the same as a man. At her time it was very male dominating, a woman was expected to be the perfect wife. I understand that Mulan has also helped many people find out who they were in the inside, I don’t want this to come off the wrong way at all. I do understand why people would say that.
