Your ultrasound pictures are so good! My baby at 8 weeks looked like a blob with a heart beat. No discernible features, no head and body and limb nubs. But by 12 weeks he looked like a fully formed baby. It’s wild!
Hi Maggie! When I was pregnant with my IVF twins, I felt sick all the time in the early months. It was to the point where I would be at my desk dry heaving all day. I was so embarrassed! My OB prescribed Zofran and it was a life saver!! I could actually enjoy my pregnancy! Good luck to you and Zach! I'm so happy for you!!!!!!! After everything you went through, you guys deserve to ENJOY this pregnancy. ❤❤
Are you gonna get one of the baby beats monitor's? I used to lay and listen to my baby's heartbeat for hours. And around 5-6 months they can begin to hear you well. I would read to my baby and sing to my baby. He will know your voice. It's good to talk to them. They totally will interact with your voice. Especially in the 3rd trimester. It's so cool. And they get hiccups! I'm so so happy. I knew you'd be just fine. ❤
So happy for you and Zach. We had our one and only 46 years ago. It took us 11 years to have him after 2 misses. I was however, the first one to have an ultrasound in our hospital. There were 15 people in the room watching. What a day we had! I was like you, measuring the size by following the pamphlet every time I came home from the Dr. Amazing, unbelievable, overwhelming, still can't get over it at times. Enjoy every day you can. Soooooo happy for you. God bless you all.
I could feel my second one moving at night. I'd lay real still flat on my back and slightly plush on my belly at 10 to 12 weeks. I would fall asleep wmwith a smile on my face.
I wore sports bras and they helped they put a bit of compression on the girls and it feels so much better, and they don’t cost as much to change as you change. Just a mom who’s been through this trying to help you. I’m so happy for you🍼🧸❣️❣️❣️❣️
Wow - brilliant scan pix of your wee miracle bubs😍 We didn't have that technology when I had my kids in the late 70's & early 80's - wish we had! My husband was a St Johns medic so we had a stethoscope and listened to bubs racing heartbeat - it was my kind of meditation😃 This is such a precious, precious time in your lives.❤️ Time will fly so enjoy every moment of your pregnancy - hopefully the nausea will ease up soon, Maggie. Listen to your body and enjoy those naps. 💞💞
My first ultrasound with my first baby was when I was 11 1/2 weeks pregnant and had SALMONELLA 🤢. This was in 1985 when ultrasounds weren't really routine but they wanted to check on the baby. I saw his heart beating before I ever got to hear it, and the baby was just laying there. All of a sudden he started kicking his little legs and was rolling side to side in the amniotic fluid! It is such a miracle to see your tiny baby moving around. I was very sick, kinda morning noon and night sickness. It's been so long I don't remember exactly when the sickness stopped, but definitely between 3 & 4 months. Your 2nd trimester is going to be so great! I'm so happy for you guys, enjoy every minute! ❤❤❤
I am so happy for you two. My daughter is 22 weeks (I think) and keeps getting sick. She has had like a terrible colds 3 separate times in the last 6 weeks. I wonder if it is her sinuses. I had forgotten about that being a pregnancy side effect. She has been sleeping so much, too. She's a nurse, but she's been going to bed at 6 at night. I told her she's growing a human, so she needs to rest. Same with you. ❤ Plus you are sick to your stomach on top of it. Sleep as much as you need!!
I'm hoping you start feeling better after stopping the progesterone. I had to take those as well, and they intensified my nausea. But I was one of those rare women who came down with hyperemesis that didn't end until birth. (It started at 6 weeks, so I think you're in the clear for that.) So, basically everything intensified my nausea. lol But it's an awful feeling. I hope it eases for you quickly! You have a great perspective and attitude toward this. Compromised health and loss both teach us to seize joy in the moment. And why not joy? Everything is looking great for this pregnancy. You should absolutely enjoy it! :)
Congratulations 🎊🎈🎉 what a wonderful adventure and baby is right on track. I’m very happy for you both. I was always told that if you are really sick and tired that means the baby is healthy!
The exhaustion 1st trimester with my 5th pregnancy was actually painful. We conceived twins when our son was only 2 months old, so I was nursing one baby 24/7 plus had the hormones of a twin pregnancy. I had to fight not falling asleep every day and napping was never an option. Second trimester is usually so much better! Now hopefully you'll just be able to enjoy it all.
I am so very excited for you. Firsts for all of it, and I'm sure each person is different. Hang in there. With time, I'm hoping you start feeling much better.
I know exactly how you feel, Maggie, I was obnoxiously sick with both of my pregnancies (many years ago), but it does get better eventually. I am so happy for you and Zack, and I pray that the pregnancy progresses well!
An absolute miracle, and when they place the baby in your arms you will be overwhelmed. It’s all so very exciting. The symptoms you are experiencing are normal and reassuring. Just rest and take things easy, a lot of the symptoms will subside as you progress, and towards the end there will be different ones.
You do what you need to do to take care of yourself ..... I'm sorry your feeling sick ....It should pass after the 1st trimester ....Praying that you'll feel better soon 🙏 I'm so happy for y'all 👣💖 .... Love n Hugs from North Ga. Mountains 🍂🍁🍂
Way back when (1981), I remember drinking iced tea with lemon (or even lemon water) and eating bread/crackers seemed to keep nausea at bay. I never actually threw up but recall that icky feeling well. As far as stuffiness, I had a friend at that time who walked around for 9 months with a nasal spray - she just could not get relief. Day her baby was born - voila - she could breath again. So your congestion could be hormone related as well, but hopefully the antibiotics do the trick. You are likely in the second trimester now and should feel much better. Hope so!
Sports bras are a life saver for going from tiny to bigger and a cold rag over the neck and feet in luke warm water help with the headache even witha sinus infection keep the house a few degrees colder than normal will help with breathing good luck hun and congratulations on the new little one
HAPPY, so happy for Maggie and the family. Being able to tell everyone will help as people are used to past/current Crohns issues, but pregnancy is NEW so if one does not wish to go to whatever then don't go and people will be fine. I remember the nausea. Probably just me, but I accidentally, I think because the smell did not make me feel ill, I found the magic food. Weirdly it was an Egg McMuffin with no ham. It was amazing it was like an invisible entity turned off the nausea switch. May Maggie find that "magic".
Congratulations on this news Maggie! This is the best possible outcome. BTW, just a bit of advice on the bra, try shelf bra camisoles. Those saved me during pregnancy bc I became so uncomfy with normal bras. I was a high risk patient and things went well and my 'little bundle of joy' is now a 28 year old man. It was a struggle but it was worth every minute. Sending warm hugs from NY.
I'm so excited for you. I remember how much I loved being pregnant. Even with the morning sickness. I was so tired but I was growing a new little person.
So sorry you are having such a hard time with the morning sickness. Antibiotics can cause upset stomach as well as the sinus infection causing headaches. Be sure to take with food. Hope you're feeling better soon!
If you haven't already, you should check out the stretchy wire free bras! Can definitely get them for reasonably cheap, and they can grow with you, or be manually stretched in order to give you some more room. So comfy!
Maggie, you should purhase a couple of maternity bras that are also breastfeeding bras, if you're planning on breastfeeding. You'll definitely need them!😊
You & Zac will have to think of a fun cute little name for your growing baby. Also you can get a maternity bra and it will be a little big to start with but will last the pregnancy and when your milk comes in. So excited for you both 🤍🤍
My breasts got better after a couple months… probably safe for sizing once yours are feeling better… if not already since I believe your videos are some weeks behind. Much love ❤❤
I'm 9 weeks and right in the thick of the exhaustion and nausea with you, rest all you possibly can! I am blessed to have 2 toddlers to chase around and miss napping like I did in my first pregnancy lol!
Congrats that's the hard thing about having other children while pregnant You can't rest like You'd love too. I been pregnant with toddlers B4 that's kinda hard itself.
Your videos always make me feel better Maggie especially if I have a bad stoma day. Do delighted for you and Zac . Hope you feel better in 2nd trimester ❤
Congratulations on being pregnant I’ve been following you for awhile and Praying everything goes as planned with the baby hoping the nausea goes away soon try putting a peppermint in your mouth when you feel it coming on or when your nausea’s
Talk to your doctor about ginger supplements for headaches! It helps with nausea too. Peppermint is another good one for nausea, as is sniffing isopropyl alcohol.
Maggie, your descriptions of your nausea, headaches, and sinus infection is making me feel ill!🤢 So sorry for you. Hang in there. I hope all resolve for you soon.👍🏻💕
You need to document all of it, wow you could write a book! But for now get a baby book and pour your heart out of how much this baby was wanted and pictures of baby etc...
I found raspberry leaf tea (caffeine free) helped with my nausea whether frozen, iced or hot. It was recommended by our lamaze instructor. When I caught a cold I lived on fresh lemon juice with water heated up. Wishing you and Zach the best!
There’s something called pregnancy rhinitis that can happen. It’s not due to any kind of infection and antibiotics won’t do anything to help. It’s the hormone changes that cause the nose to feel extremely inflamed and stuffy.
I’ve been pregnant four times and I have all the allergies and mess that you have congestion, nose, wise, two surgeries all that kind of stuff and when I got pregnant every time I would get extremely more congested and every time they just told me it’s pregnant a lot of times just get more congested and stay that way till after you deliver the baby And the best thing you can drink lots of water which you already I was and I stayed so nauseated and the congestion drainage did not help that if I kept glass of ice water I mean, I even took one to the shower and set it on the side of the tuband when I would start feeling nauseated, I would just start drinking ice cold water that helped me a lot try and see if that helps. I sure hope so. Go get your nursing bras early if you’re going to nurse or not go get them cause they expand and they give you room to do what you Gotta do as you grow
You keep saying you’re not doing anything… YOU’RE GROWING A HUMAN! ❤🎉 I think that’s doing a whole lot !
Congratulations Maggie and Zack on your little miracle ❤ Prayers that you start feeling better so you can enjoy this special time.
Right

I agree re bras. If necessary go up a size around your body . Definitely avoid any type with underwires. I’m a trained corsetier( bra fitter)
Maggie you are glowing!!!!!
You could try a sports bra for now. They are comfy as you "grow," and are normally inexpensive. I'm so happy for you guys! Congratulations!
So happy for you! 💓🩵
I'm so excited for you. I remember how much I loved being pregnant. Even with the morning sickness. I was so tired but I was growing a new little person.

Soooo happy for you ❤
Tylenol is probably the highest recommended and safest pain reliever / fever reducer during pregnancy. Maybe even in general
So happy for you!!!
The fatigue and nausea should subside soon, mine did after first trimester. But, I feel you, I was exhausted, Love and Blessings to you🙏🏼✝️🕊️☮️❣️❣️
Your videos always make me feel better Maggie especially if I have a bad stoma day. Do delighted for you and Zac . Hope you feel better in 2nd trimester ❤
I finally gave in and threw up and was fine after. No more sickness. Cave in to see if it works out.
Don’t worry about the house and all. It’ll be there when you feel better.
Prayers answered. So so happy for you two.xx
Your glory and you face is filling out some is a good way.
I've heard ginger really helps with nausea. (if you can take it) I see your husband is a Ice Nine Kills fan, sweet!

I have said it so many times! I am SO thrilled! I always had sinus issues when I was pregnant! they get better!
Sports bra. They don't have to be expensive, but they're more comfy and allows growth.
