I 100% hate picking stones! I think they grow like mushrooms! We have a saying about picking stones and all the bending down here in Ireland "I hate picking stones! Your head is not designed to be below your butt!"
I always love when you and Harry get together. You both make me laugh 😂 Jack should have been there to help you.Your boys have the best life living on a farm.Richard and Sam have two wonderful boys. Please give Harry £10 for cleaning the tractor 🚜. That tractor is going to take quite a while to clean. He is such a good lad , he deserves £10.Hope you and Harry are alright after lifting those stones.🥰🚜🐓🐄❤️🦋🏴
I hope there will be a “Harry’s £7.00 Tractor Valeting” video to follow this one. I love hearing the fun and banter between you and your wonderful sons 😀
Loved it mate. Was my 1st job on the farm 47 years ago. And Hazza there was not 1 bit a machinary i could not use on the farm by the time i was 10. so keep up the good work as you are the future
Harry, If you're the farm manager, you're the one who sets the pay rates. (sorry Richard haha). Richard- Those lads are getting the best upbringing they could possibly receive, not only are they learning about life, they're fit and healthy, know the value of money and reward, and, they get to have a good bit of banter and laughs with you and Sam, especially in the cooking videos. I reckon that's about as good as it could be for their future as they grow into fine young men. A credit to you and the Mrs. Stones? Blimey I wonder how many tons of stone have been cleared from your fields over the years? Where the heck does it keep surfacing from?
Backbreaking work , l spent many days gathering stones on our previous farm , now we have deep heavier soil and we arent bothered with stones , on our previous farm we gathered many trailer loads ...Harrys a good help , always happy to do manual work , lets hope he doesnt change before he leaves school lol .....
Great video Richard, it too me back too when me and my brother use to do stone picking as kids sixpence a day. I liked Hazza negotiations for the tractor cleaning job. 👍👍
This takes me back; many hours spent with the little Massey 550 with a transport box on the back. But eh...there's always a gateway that will appreciate the stones somewhere Richard?
I know they have to draw a line somewhere but, when you see what the Millenial Farmer's Onyx I’d doing with machinery, a lad as capable as Harry should be allowed to drive a tractor as long as it's the right size for him to manage. That 35 you hanker after and a transport box would be perfect for stone-picking.!
Luv watching this channel. 🙂 Fav Indian dish - Hmm, lots, but my wife’s Karela Sabzi with roti... divine. But you'd be hard pushed to find Karela on any British restaurant menu, let alone fresh in the supermarket. Might find it frozen online shops. We grow it at home. Otherwise known as bitter gourd or bitter melon. Just simply fried with onion and usual Indian spices..... Must make sure you get that caramelization with the onion for that bitter/sweet flavour. Along with a mango/pumpkin curry….. That's great too.....
As soon as I heard you say what you had just consumed, I just had a feeling where this would lead. Just as well that you were outside then. Small hole in the ozone layer over Cornock acres...so, in conclusion, this video may have been called "Had Curry, went outside, farted and got stoned."
What do you do with the stones? I built a rockery in the garden from stones I picked up from the beach, but out walking I came across a carved stone during lockdown, I think it was a window frame at one end I'm guessing the carver's initial, it must of weighed 50 kg or more, on a stealth mission I recovered it to be part of my rockery, or it would of just have been a lonely stone unappreciated in a feild lol
If you stomach is uncomfortable to do anything afterwards ,you probably had too much or too spicy. Its not child labour ,its called having a good time with dad .you could sell those rocks to garden centres lol . Make a stone wall round your slurry pit as a way of storing them until you need them or sell them
i have serious question for you, knowing that feritilzer is expensive and needs to be just right and spread on the right days, but my question is what did you use a wet or dry fertilizer on the rock crops?
I love a chicken/lamb Korma with Basmati rice and naan bread. I hope your going to make a video of Harry high pressure washing the Tractor I reckon it could be very entertaining.
Richardfor the love of god and your back/heart/knees get a set of bolt on tines for the loader bucket , your drill 4 holes in the edge of the bucket and bolt it on using 4 heavy bolts, you can lift a 100 huge ricks but it only takes 1 to injure you, food for thought anyhow, 🙂
Nothing like a bit of bending and heavy lifting with a belly full of curry (not!). Chicken Shashlik is lovely, though I like a good spicy Jal Ferezi or (if not in the mood for heat) a nice butter chicken.

😂
I think Harry should be driving the tractor while dad picks stones 🪨 🚜 😉
👍
Your sons are so good helping out on the farm.

Those stones were pretty big. It is a back breaking job. Good for Harry helping out. 👍👍😊

💕Stones some of those look like small boulders to me💕They’ll look great around your garden💕
Legs well apart Harry you don't want to strain your Fernackerpan, I think Richard you have got your own Stonehenge.
Have you ever thought of changing fields and putting it down to permanent pasture ? Or is it like it across the farm?
I thought you said £10 to clean the tractor 😂😂
Well, if Harry keeps going like that, maybe in 10 years time we'll have a "Harry's farm 2" 🙂

This takes me back; many hours spent with the little Massey 550 with a transport box on the back. But eh...there's always a gateway that will appreciate the stones somewhere Richard?
Bobcat bucket with forks, and I can remember my day is picking stones off. My grandfather stones were big as I was tall as your son
Nothing like a Chicken chassis for tea,.

Old varieties of wheat have a beard like barley.
"First day back at Farming #1". Larson Farms - he was using a rock picker that might be perfect for you. I'm sure there's something like it in the UK.

I never drove a tractor at Harrys age - or a JCB either.

Its a£ for little stones a £a pound for bigger ones, I've seen those bigger ones go for £45 each at sales
Do you guys have pull-type stone pickers there? One of those would markedly improve the efficiency of your stone picking.
There a few kicking about but they ain’t that popular yet
Advertise those stones people want big stones and pay good money for them think of beers
I think you should stick with the punk hair do, you rock it( sorry for the stone pun) !!!
