I've considered doing that too. It sounds like there can be an unintended side effect of adding braided hoses to some vehicles. The calipers will actually flex when they are hot and cause uneven brake wear. Idk if you've ever heard of that, but someone did a really good writeup that's in the braking industry. You have to picture the rubber hoses expanding under pedal pressure. Braided ones are much stronger, and transfer that saved energy loss to the caliper. Sounds bizarre but it makes sense I guess lol.
@@Greenlightfilming I have not heard of that with the calipers. I guess I will let you know. I have 3 of the 6 braided hoses on and that has already made a big impact on the pedal feel. If I have any issues when I get everything put together with the brace, I will keep you posted if I have any issues. Sorry I didnt get back to you.
I believe UMI actually applies the powder coat to these braces since their close with StranoPerformance, I received my red brace yesterday and they are also identical
Great video dude! Im still waiting to put mine on. With Tank and moving to Nashville I don't have much time. I did get an appointment to get my car ceramic coated. Im looking forward to this.
Just received mine this weekend and was uber-excited to install it, but unfortunately the 15mm nuts on the strut studs were so tight my 15mm socket stripped the damn nut surface. Liquid Wrench wouldn’t loosen that thing!! I’m just going to have to wait until my car needs service and I’ll ask the mechanic if he can remove the dang nut.
Might be able to get it off with some heat and a good pair of vice grips. I've gotten myself out of many jams with those two tools. You'll need a new nut for the strut stud but its something you might be able to know out!
@@Greenlightfilming I believe so, I saw a video from hawks performance and the guy but the nut between the strut brace and the strano brace, yours is right tho I already spoke to Sam at strano
Greetings green light I finished the installation of my lower control arms bolt on frame connectors and non adjustable panhard bar all from you am I and you know my car's got a hundred and fifty thousand on it and up under it you know everything is stock and those parts with the spawns Tower to Tower bar in the Strand no brake master cylinder item have a changed my whole outlook on the car I sure would like to have driven it when it was brand new just to see what the difference is but I have driven it and took it out on this road test and everything worked as advertised and I couldn't be more pleased thanks much for the tip hope to talk to you later good luck with the vet
Glad to hear you got some wrench time on your car! It's nice when the parts you buy actually make a noticeable difference. Like you said, would be cool to try it all back to back on a brand new car to see what the difference is.
Hey thanks for hitting me back I started yesterday morning and worked at all up to 2 inches of water in between tornado warnings and watches and wrapped it up this morning and did it under less-than-optimal conditions but for all the tips I think I use the bumper Jack between the fender well and the back tire on both control arms and play out real well show quality stuff from Umi not so much after my installation once again thanks much thanks for the videos thanks for hitting me back and talk to you when I hear from you
Can anyone help think of somewhere where I can buy a ws6 95-02 98-02 prefer but open to the others anyways find one under 4K roller or not. No offer up and craigslist I check them all the time. I want to build it as a daily built 5.3 4l80e. My other projects will have 6dp TH400 etc thanks in advance. Your opinions or builds are welcomed
Thank you for the feedback on the video. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find any decent no copywrite music in any genre other than what you heard. The hunt continues! Lol
I've been wanting to get this part since it first came out. Thanks for sharing.
I'd highly recommend it. Never had one before and wish I did on other cars haha

Love 🤩 the idea for the master cylinder brace 💯.
It's a great idea! I highly recommend it.
Nice job. I am looking to do this and steel braided hoses.

That makes sense. The match was perfect and they work hand in hand.
A friend made a cheap one in L-shape, it's strong as that +100$ part and cost like... 5$? But great improvement in the brake feeling
Damn that is neat. I never knew they made that for brake booster. That's cool definitely add it to my list of bolt ons to my project ta
It's a solid upgrade. To be honest I didn't even know about them til shortly before ordering mine. It's worth every penny on my car.

The ceramic coating is really going to set off your car's color, I'd like to do it to mine this year. How's the dog doing?
He is eating, playing, and full of energy. I have to calm him down because he acts like there isn't a 10 inch incision still in his stomach. Lol
@@bobbyprd all good signs, little guy must be feeling good then haha. Glad to hear he's ok.

Got one all lined up! Owner had a problem with it last night, hoping it gets straightened out and we can make a deal today.

C6 z06 but I think I saw you what you said on ls1tech.
Yep.... Lol. Things didn't go so good looking at the car. Will see what happens here.
I've seen other videos and people put the lock nut in between tower and strano brace
I haven't seen what you are referring to I guess. The Strano MC Brace comes with a jamb nut to hold it's position if that's what you are referring to.

So what are the torque specs for the strut tower brace bolts and the specs for the one t50 bolt with the strano brace?
👍 👍 👍
Dang. I can’t do this mod cause it doesn’t fit with my tower brace :/
What brace do you have?
GreenLightFilming It’s a Hotchkis tower brace
GreenLightFilming 2006R is the part number I think. It was on the car when I bought it.
