great explanation on the install of the cylinder but would have been nice to see the bleed process explained also. Oh and a comment made at the beginning that the hardtop Trans Am is rare for that year in your part of the country,,,well it's rare in all parts of the country because a Trans Am hardtop did not exist starting in 97. T-tops were standard equipment on a T/A and the hardtop was only available for the Formula, just some good fun info. Good video and glad to see you were not playing Rap music like most videos.
agreed...the bleed process is easy..fill the reservoir cap off, use a mity vac to pull vacuum on the port at the bottom, pump to 10-15psi then quickly pull the vacuum hose and the vacuum will suck the fluid right down into the master cylinder...refill fluid each time and it should be bled in about 4-5 reps..if you bled the slave already or its not coming out it stays bled thanks to a check valve in the slave fitting. youre done.
@@yamahaguy1732 I had one hell of a time installing it getting out wasn’t so bad just putting it back in sucked it’s not fun but I’m glad I did it tho I love the tick master things smooth as butter
Factory models and vin codes would beg to differ lmao Pontiac did some weird dealership shit, seen a bunch of formulas that have trans am packages and have trans am vin codes but ain’t trans and it’s weird asf
Rpo codes on the door..a formula code is w68(which means v8;the G in vin number also tells you this.a trans am code is y82,and it will also have the w68 code.

Just bought this part a few minutes ago. Hopefully the install isn’t to bad.
How did the install go?
@@Swanlord05 I ended up having a shop install it since I was already there for exhaust work.
Good video!

I kept the return spring I didn’t do the drill mod or what ever it’s called I just changed out the master cylinder
all the times that ive done this, I am practically a pro. still in a pain in the ass
Do you install this in from the top or the bottom. I have been trying from the bottom with 0 success. I have longtube, any advice?
What size is the jam nut??
Where did you buy that master cylinder and what is the name of the master cylinder?
tickperformance.com, search for adjustable clutch master cylinder kit.
How did you bleed the master cyl?
You can bleed it before you connect it back to the slave, check out tick Performance’s channel they did a whole video on it👍🏽
Be nice if I could see what you’re doing
Don’t try to church it up boy, no such thing as a trans am formula model. Either you have a formula or you have a trans am. Lol
