- Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer is an IMAX®-shot epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.
The film stars Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer and Emily Blunt as his wife, biologist and botanist Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer. Oscar® winner Matt Damon portrays General Leslie Groves Jr., director of the Manhattan Project, and Robert Downey, Jr. plays Lewis Strauss, a founding commissioner of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.
Academy Award® nominee Florence Pugh plays psychiatrist Jean Tatlock, Benny Safdie plays theoretical physicist Edward Teller, Michael Angarano plays Robert Serber and Josh Hartnett plays pioneering American nuclear scientist Ernest Lawrence.
Oppenheimer also stars Oscar® winner Rami Malek and reunites Nolan with eight-time Oscar® nominated actor, writer and filmmaker Kenneth Branagh.
The cast includes Dane DeHaan (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets), Dylan Arnold (Halloween franchise), David Krumholtz (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises).
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan.
Oppenheimer is filmed in a combination of IMAX® 65mm and 65mm large-format film photography including, for the first time ever, sections in IMAX® black and white analogue photography.
Nolan’s films, including Tenet, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy, have earned more than $5 billion at the global box office and have been awarded 11 Oscars and 36 nominations, including two Best Picture nominations.

Emily Blunt is a great actress, and both she and Da'Vine Joy Randolph are going to compete very strongly for best supporting actress, but Blunt deserves all the recognition for her immense career as an actress and here she gives her best.
❤🎉
I never realized they just made quietplace 2 together
America Ferrera also was great
Final scene where she refuses to shake hands with Edward Teller and that smile on her face after that was incredibly outstanding facial expressions ever seen...
Her mouth at the end... I've seen so many older women do exactly that and silently express such deep disdain for the other person. Well done.
Blunt deserves the oscar. A career high performance for her.
You gotta see the competition. And this year, there've been better like Kirby in Napoleon for example.
The lip lick thing when she refused the handshake is the most 1940-60s stern female acting ever
@@rafaelc.c. America In Barbie was good too.
@@louisberry4403"Barbie" in Oscar conversations? 😂
@@mrrekt2272 Didn't love the film but America, Margot And Ryan were great.
Emily's acting was spectacular in this movie too. She is amazing at expressing the emotions of her characters and how they feel about the situation they are in. Her performance in the movie was amazing. She was so great at expressing Kitty's feelings about the hardship she and her husband is going through. This role didn't seem to be significant but Emily made this role stand out more and play a bigger part in this movie. I want to congratulate Emily for her nomination for the Best Supporting Actress award of the Golden Globe Award, and I hope she gets more significant awards because she deserves it.
What RDJ said in the end is the essence of E Blunt as an actress, simply and completely. Brilliant.
The Girl On The Train was the first film to earn my best respect for Emily Blunt's talent. What she has done for Oppenheimer is quite formidable.
When she didn’t shake the man’s hand. My favorite part ❤
“i don’t like your phrase”💅💅💅
gonna say it simple: this is probably the best cast on a movie on this decade, period...
She deserves the Oscar, period.
No. She was very good, she is very good, actually, but the role wasn't great enough. This year there hav been better supporting performances, without diminishing her merits. As simple as that. Kirby in Napoleon, Randolph in The Holdovers or Moore in May December for example. They say Cruz in Ferrari is really good too. Nolan fans are obsessed with Oscars.
Emily did an amazing job. She and Lily gladstone in killers of the flower Moon are going to compete for every award. Shame they can't win both
And they gave it to Emma Stone again! Emily and Lily were robbed. Definitely a year where they both should have won.
@@lauralarrabee7870Emma was leading actress, Emily was supporting actress.
@@scsutton1 Annette, Carey and Lily would have made much more sense.
Emily Blunt is one of, if not the best, working actress today.
They better give her her flowers for this role!! 🙌
Incredible.. Cillian, Emily & RDJr - all 3 of them
Emily Blunt is really good in Oppenheimer
Give her an award
The Teller Scene is Priceless .
Oh my god I love this movie❤️❤️
Best scene in the movie by far. Bravo!
I am kind of late to the party I know, but I am in awe of her since Oppenheimer, will watch more of her work from now on
i an cast of show stealers she stood out, i just have to applaud that and what she did in and for this movie
Her range is incredible I can’t believe I didn’t like her at first I see multiple Oscars in her future
Emily Blunt is a beautiful actress! She did NOT have plastic surgery 😮
Of course she did have plastic surgery, what are you on
Beautiful performance, an award doesn't define how amazing she is in any role she takes on. I love Da'Vine in the holdovers and she still has my vote, but that doesn't take anything away from how Emily took on this role and brought her own sort of Midas touch to it.
Cast stellare! Emily Blunt SUBLIME! Chapeau!
I love her!!! Love her!!
Que gran actriz
Emily is magnificent 🥰
And some stupid people say Nolan doesn't care about women as characters. Peobably he understands them the most 🥺♥️
not a lot of screen time , but wow...what an impression she makes!! She should def get the oscar!!
I never was a Emely blunt fan but in this movie she was perfect! I really don’t understand how those woke people can be disappointed.
Emily Blunt for winning oscars🎉
they look like brother and sister!
❤❤ cant wait watch it well done keep going doing amazing things stay strong stay positive stay safe takecare sending luck hugs prayers most of all love from headway Nottingham UK hopefully more awards ❤❤
Imagine when award shows discover her
Oscar-worthy performance!! Forget Emma Stone, she already has one!

Emily was the best in this movie
Emily should of won awards for this ❤😂🎉😢😮😅
WHAAAAAAAT 🎉
Emily is and has always been...GREAT🤔
Omg
Those cheekbones have gone too far. She doesnt look like herself anymore
Ooopaaa
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
She’s a serious actress, often miscast and could choose her roles better IMO 🤔 her best since Sicario by a mile 👍
رائع
Anyone still remember her from “the devil wears Prada”?
My only criticism of the entire movie was Emily Blunts accent which came and went and was all over the place.
Too much fillers
Gözəldi izləmişəm bu filmi
What is her line / the exact line at apprx 1:00.
You don’t get to …the sin, and ….re…?
“You don't get to commit sin, and then ask all of us to feel sorry for you when there are consequences.”
Emily Blunt is the best actress of this generation. It's just a damn shame that she ruined her face with plastic surgery.
I know Nolan has been criticized for the way he writes women, but I think Kitty was a good supporting character.
Best Supporting Actress
Elle Graham Are You There God It’s Me Margaret
Jenifer Trejo Radical
Emily Blunt Oppenheimer
America Ferrera Barbie
Nicole Garcia One Fine Morning
And dont forget to Vanessa Kirby (Napoleon) and Penelope Cruz (Ferrari), and the most important Da'Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers)

Polno?
She’s very good - but overexposed now. Especially with Fall Guy coming out. Even Ryan Gosling is in danger of if it and Cillian Murphy too. Too much of a good thing.
I think Emily was the second best actor in Oppenheimer, not RDJ (as good as he was). I would have been fine if someone other than Robert had won the Oscar, but I think Emily should have won best supporting actress. Da'Vine's performance was good, but it was not nearly as powerful or nuanced as Emily's.

Emily was brilliant but her face is bloated from fillers
Yes, Kitty was so fierce, so brilliant... Not brilliant enough to avoid the communist plague or recognize suffering of millions of people under that brutal genocidal oppresive regime.
Honestly: not her best performance. She was ok, but underutilised. Also, the Botox is hindering her ability to express emotions. I don’t think I’ve seen her forehead move at all the entire movie …
