I love how spacious her home is and the furniture is good, solid, sturdy wood furniture. Its also passed down from generation to generation so it has history which is better than your local ikea lol

Love your house!! I would have made the guest bathroom smaller and use that space for a large linen closet to hold the linens and extra blankets, pillows etc.

Your home is beautiful! I love that you invested in upgrades that make you happy like the trim and coffered ceilings, the plantation shutters and soft-close drawers in the cabinets. You will still love them in 30 years; they are classic design elements and won't go out of style! The neutral decor and furnishings are great because if you want to change color schemes, you can swap out pillows and rugs and easily change the look of the room without repainting or replacing furniture. I love the blush pink guest bath color! Your home is neat but I love that you still have toys and other items out. A home should be enjoyed; it isn't a museum or a model home. Thanks for showing us around!

You have a beautiful home! Love the colors and also the decorations you chose. We built 2 1/2 years ago also, and have yet to add wall decorations...I like the simplicity of it and its less to dust too ;)

This makes me feel better. We have been busily repainting entire interior and walls looks so clean and minimal I have no desire to put up wall decorations.
Paint table agreeable grey
I have little decor on my walls. I felt like I had paid too much for the walls to start putting nails in them. Plus having an open floor plan, I don’t have lots space to hang things.
Very nice. The streamlined decor makes cleaning so easy! My aesthetic is so similar. ❤️

They make wax crayons for furniture that would hide the scrape on your china chest. I have decluttered so much and I love how clean your decorating is but I still have a lot of small things I like to display. For a few years we have been living in 320sq feet to be near my husband’s mom who is elderly but someday we’ll move back into our house and my decorating will have changed so much.
I will have to try those crayons! Thank you for the recommendation.
We had our house repainted three years ago and only put two things back up on the wall. I’m not a fan of of window treatments either.

I wish I would've picked a different table or finish for our dining/kitchen table. We have a glossy finish. I have three kids. It looks terrible. My husband is going to redo it. Thank God he knows how because I don't want to have to get a new table.

Yes, they are by Bassett but we didn't get them from there. We have a local guy who was able to get them directly from the maker.

Oh, I just heard you say you would never have registered for china, if you'd known. What a coincidence! This week, my husband & I, while Spring cleaning/purging, questioned keeping our wedding china. How many times have we used it ? We've been married a long, long time & have used the china once or twice. Like you, if I'd known way back then, I'd have never registered for it.
what does your husband do for work...?? what is your yearly combined income ?? most people could not do what you have done here ....I had a 3000 sq foot home once upon a time on 5 acre.....now living in 130 Sq ft tiny house ....
