The more you weigh the easier it is to capsize the boat. I have praticed this a lot. First put the oars behind the boat so the oars dont swing out and hit you. Then stand on the rigger and turn the boat over. Now getting back on. Run your hand toward the other side of the rigger and straddle your body across the rigger then turn your body over the seat and get back on the seat. This is the fastest way to get back on the ts515. Love love love the ts515. I have been wanting to get a rowing boat since the late 70s. I have thought for years which boat should I get. Last year I finally pulled the trigger and got this. Never a day goes by where I thought did I make the wrong choice. Everything about it is perfect. Most rowing boats have a little fin where the whole body of the ts515 is a fin. This boat tracks surprisingly well for its length.

Most capsizes are an accident and you don't have any time to prepare for it. So it's good to have practised getting back in.

Nice work Steve. We have used the ts515 in a swimming pool to practice climbing back in (unfortunately river pollution means it’s not safe to do capsize drill in uk right now!🤮). I endorse how hard they are to roll over. Although the hatch covers prevent water ingress, ours are not100% waterproof. We leave the boat for a day or two in the sun with hatches open to evaporate the last of the water out as the way the moulding works it’s not easy to drain off all of it! Anyway I hope people can find your sites again.

You don't need to be able to speak Dutch to understand what is going on in this ua-cam.com/video/MZL-FNhFGZI/v-deo.htmlsi=BLRSVvgFyOrVWqYI demonstration of how to get back into a fine boat, as I had tried to explain part way through my own video. A video saves a 1000 words!😁
