Ah HHH, just made my day with your ego notification. I keep it in a bag, under the bed......Feel free to look at my other stuff. I try to keep it on the level, and not try to be something im not.
I’m also a big fan of German Flecktarn . Not much here in Tennessee but when I see it I get it. Stumbled onto your site when I watched English Woodsman’s latest. Glad I found you. Grand video!
Great camp, I've been debating getting this tent for a while now but I can't stand the beetles around my area, we got hundreds of coach beetles in the evening. That pheasant woke me up too!!
Hi Toby, its the flys and midges that annoy the hell out of me. Looked initially fine until nightime when the torches lured them straigh to me. You need a sheet of some kind, who knows what lurks below.
Heya ! It's the Colour from my Home Country ...so I like it 😁 Maybe you try resuspending your construction on a ridge line ...and pull your paracord through both grommets at the bottom edge...this makes things more stable against tearing ! I'm not sure... are your tent poles 4 or 5 pieces? The tent is set up in the two-man configuration normally with 4 poles ... it becomes flatter, but also considerably wider ... And one NO GO !! A baseball cap in camouflage ... you definitely need a German field cap 😁😁 With all the best from Germania Jürgen
Hello mate. With my incredibly large head the usual German field cap makes me look a bit "unusual" for want of a better word. I did have a cold weather hat, but it was not cold enough for an outing.........oh for some sub zero temperatures. The whole ridge line paracord idea is a good one; like it, and practical, and if memory serves me right i seem to have 2 sets of 3 poles (6 in total). Plenty more flecktarn to come, oh yes😃
You've got a nice set up & good kit there. Not much genuine or even Mil Tec Flectarn available in the states. I'm pretty lucky having gotten the Euro surplus I've acquired. I still need a good ground mat. But I just went over to a hammock, so next year on that. I've got the "same" German style mess kit, but with a cup/bowl. I've tried it on the electric range, and over fire... so far so good. FYI a U.S. GI canteen cup (slightly squeezed) will fit nicely inside the German mess kit. I've still got my generic Esbit stove, but I've been spoiled by the BCB & Fire Dragon. ATB !
Hello again Barone; i will give the GI canteen cup a go..............a little insight to a new product pretty much exclusive to the states: Coghlans folding stove vid coming very soon.
Really, well i didnt know that. I assumed something smaller. Ive got a Bundeswehr canteen cookset, but its got a rubber lip, so I can't really see how it can work without burning.
Thanks Angus, for pretty much the first thing i ever filmed its stood the test of time. Tell me do you prefer the music or the natural sounds like in the early vids?

Outside Tank, youve just got a new subscriber too. In all Ive got about 5 flecktarn tents..............its an addiction. Some time or later all will get a UA-cam airing, along with the clothing that i've collected too. Cheers Bud.
