Manure farm, yes. I have once heard that livestock farmer is the polite term for glorified lavatory attendant. Since shoveling manure is the main part of the job.

@hillockfarm8404 hahaha I've not heard that before, but it's definitely the truth!

Wow, this was super insightful! How do you manage their diet to keep them healthy and happy on the homestead?

@SEOExpertGuru during the winter months, they get rabbit pellets and hay. During the rest of the year, they get pellets and fresh grass

Great video thank you, I also want to try vermiculture and refuse to spend that kind of money for worm bins. I was thinking of a dual purpose rabbit hutch & tractor? Built strong enough with decent wheels where you can move it around over top the gardens? I do like your setup, I have a few projects in the middle of making a hoop coop that got stopped due to your weather coming down drunk here in NC LOL. I did buy a 1972 Ford backhoe tractor, she runs but she need hoses for the backhoe replace. One that's done then I have to see what else she needs.

@packy0462 I would imagine a moveable cage like that would work, but I'm not sure if the rabbit urine would harm the leaves of plants or not. When I designed this garden layout, I made all the walkways wide enough that we could run the rabbit tractors in the walkways, which somewhat helped boost the soil, and it cut down on how often I had to mow the walkways.
I hope your new equipment is easy to fix and runs flawlessly for many years!

@@storybrookefamilyfarm Good thought about the urine directly on the leaves, this is why I love out community. We help each other out bouncing ideas off each other. I'll probably stick with a stationary hutch.

@packy0462 It's beautiful how we all can help each other grow together ❤️ as for the worm bin idea, I've seen people make their own worm bins out of plastic totes, trash cans, and even old freezers. I'm sure you could find or build something that might work well
