  • Hey loves in this video I will be showing you guys how I do the peel off/pop off nail method, if done well it helps with a nice foundation for all your nail content creations on your own hands, while not needing to soak off in acetone each time.
    Note: This is not intended nor recommended for an actual nail service.
    FYI: not all matte top coats are designed equally alike, they do tend to heat up during curing process, some more than others so make sure your lamp is on a low setting to avoid such heat spike. There are alternatives such as a peel of base coat or rubber base coats👍🏽

    I needed a thorough peel off video and love that your process takes the time to ensure the nails remain healthy afterwards. It is a nice alternative to soaking off and ruining such a beautiful set also. Great video Vanessa!

      So glad to hear you enjoyed it ☺️ I’ve been doing this for the past couple of years ☺️ hopefully it works for others, if matte is too strong of heat I suggest rubber base or peel off base 🤗 same process

    yesss this is the best method so far being a content creator as well ,I just started using the matte top coat as my peel off base method.. I use to use just cuticle oil and top coat and it would hold them on for awhile but the matte method definitely allows them to last longer. Love this video and all the extra tips and tricks cause I’m definitely gonna start applying my top with my second layer, that was very helpful. TFS ❤

    Vanessa you are awesome...I've started doing my own nails but only with dip powder but I stopped because I damaged my nail bed. My nails tend to pop off easily, not sure why. But it's a good thing because my nails grow very fast even though they are very thin. So I'm thinking doing the pop off method would be best for me as I also like to change the design often. Thank you for teaching us how to do it😁

    These are beautiful. You should consider getting blood work done to make sure you're healthy as that dark line on your left thumb nail could indicate health issues. Hope all is well, love.

    Hi, nice video! I just wanted to mention to get that line on your nail checked if you haven’t. It can be a sign of melanoma. Please see a doctor ASAP if you haven’t already. Stay safe❤

      I had one check in 2007. Thank goodness it was only a mole under my skin’s surface. I’m glad I got it checked but they did warn that my nail may not grow back. It did but there is a gap underneath the center of my nail. It’s thin and splits but better safe than sorry.

    I been wondering what ppl use to pop um off.. definitely need to try this bc im a content creator "kind of" lol And im sick of filing my nails off twice a week lol QUESTION: So you dont recommend a "peel off" base coat? Is your method easier? I was literally just looking today online for a peel off one.. like the ÜNT one bc i heard a lot of great things about it but I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger and said ill wait a bit longer to get it lol So im really glad you uploaded this!! Saving me some money! lol I got the Notpolish Matte so im gonna try that and see how good this works! Glad I dont have to buy any new products just to be able to take my nails off! lol Thanks for sharing hun! BTW just wanna say I Absolutely LOVE your talent! Your talent is literally just out of this world!! Thanks for sharing hun!! 😘😘!

      I have never tried the peel off base so I really can’t comment on it, although I will try it next and see how that goes, you don’t lose with trying out your own experience also especially if you have done your research and saw great reviews on it😊 remember to use the matte on low light setting to avoid a spiking heat sensation. Also thank you for the support 💜

    This would be great because my nails and cuticles were always so healthy until I started using Gel. So my question is All we need to put on our Nail Beds is Matt top coat ?? No dehydrater, or primer? Thank you 😊

    • @vanessanailz
      @vanessanailz  Рік тому +3

      Babe a dehydrator and primer is for when you are doing an actual nail prep for your enhancements to adhere to your nail plate for durability.
      We are doing the complete opposite here in this video because the idea is a hack to NOT Have acrylics or gel bind to your natural nail plate for duration if you are looking to safely n quickly remove them at the end of filming the nail tutorial design for your content.
      A dehydrator removes the oils from your nail bed - AND WE WANT ALL THE OILS WE CAN GET as to why we start out with moisturizing our nails with oil.
      A primer is a product when dry creates a layer of sticky residue that acts like glue between your nail plate and the enhancement such as acrylic, gels ect.
      You will only use those items when performing an actual nail enhancement service to yourself and n client.
      This video is the complete opposite of that it is not meant to be an educational video, it is simply a nail hack for a quicker removal process right after doing the nails, instead of needing to spend hours filing and soaking with acetone to then move on to the next design, some ppl will become impatient and just rip them off, so doing this “POP-off” method if done well and not constantly every day will help save you time and not damage your nail plate.

    As a licensed nail technician
    Your nails shouldn’t be burning
    Your overfilling which thins the nails and makes you sensitive to uv.

    • @vanessanailz
      @vanessanailz  Рік тому +1

      Hey Shan thanks for your comment
      I’m a license nailtech myself 10 yrs
      Although your statement is correct when applied to the proper scenario
      if you’ve watched the video thoroughly Youll see that I never once filed my nails at all, I actually stated not to prep the nails at all, my nails are thick and healthy, this video is not Intended to educate ppl on proper nail prep, as to why I mentioned not to do this for an actual service, this video is a nail hack to remove your nails at the end of a creation for content :)
      the matte top coat i use do heat when curing under the light so wether its on your nail bed or accidentally on the skin it will burn and as mentioned not all matte coats are made the same, some will burn while others won’t💜
