I was addicted to the show when I was a kid
Same, I still am 😂
I watch it every night...love this show.
Me too!
Same here
The look on Roy's face when he ate the eggs was priceless.
Mike Stoker was a real La County Fireman who had a real Screen Actor's card. LA County said they did not care who drove the Squad but they donated that engine and wanted it driven by a real engineer. After the show Mike Stoker went on to retire as a Captain with the Fire Department. Ron Pinkard, Doctor Morton, was a real Navy Corpsman, or Medic. He was a senior medic and retired from the Navy as a Lt. Commander. Even thought he plays a Jr. Doctor to Bracket and Early, in real life Bobby Troupe and Robert Fuller would ask him for advice to make sure they looked like they were doing things medically correct.
It's been 50 years and I will continue to watch and enjoy!
I watch it every night. 😊
Grew up watching this show with Dad and I still enjoy it over 40 years later with the Entire series in a DVD box set!
“What are we having? Hamburgers! Nobody said we were having hamburgers!”
I thought for sure that would have been in the list.
The 50th anniversary show was really enjoyable! I hope you'll eventually post it here for posterity.
Yes, they have!
I LOVED this show. Watching re-runs in 80s Australia with my mum. Good times.
Cooks at Station 51 :
Marco- the Best Cook
Stoker- Spaghetti and Fried Chicken
Captain Stanley- Clam Chowder
Johnny- Hamburgers and Hot Dogs
Chet- Sometimes weird stuff
Roy- Eggs Lupen and always teased about his culinary skills.
Don't forget Roy's Beef Bor-ge-non (that's how he prounounced Bourguignon) that turned out to be good.
Marco was known for good Irish Stew and Chet made spicy chili.
Doctor Joe Early really liked the captain's Clam Chowder.
just say chet can't cook
It has been so long ago, but I remember the episode with Ruth Buzzi and Dick Van Patton, they played a couple who were so deeply thankful to the guys at Station 51 for saving their lives ( I can't recall what actually happened to them ), they offered to cook good for them, and I think there were other stuff as well.
No clam chowder for me, I'm allergic.
Of course Marco is gonna be the best cook. His actor even publish a cook book about firehouse cooking i think or something along the lines of it
Not included in this was an incident from the fourth season where a fellow firefighter from Station 68 got some serious indigestion from his homemade chili, still boiling on the stove when Johnny and Roy arrived after being dispatched there from the hospital. Ron Masak played that firefighter.
Squad 51 and Adam 12 in a joint episode, responding to a person in distress. A naked woman in her bathtub has her toe stuck in the faucet. Very saucy for 1977-ish. It was fun stuff back then as a kid. I loved those shows as corny and ridiculous as they were, and probably are a part of who I am today. Not even kidding.
Still good show
Just got through watching Emergency. Still love this show!
I watch it every night.
They left out the best part when Chet cooked the steaks. He was on a health food kick and they finally got him off that. But he had a bunch left over and "whipped up a sauce. Heck, I've got a couple of weeks worth..." Hilarious.
My favorite show all actors are great never disappoint, best show for its time.
This show was great because every rescue actually came from the log books of a fire station somewhere. Randy Mantooth said the writers thought Bob Cinader was crazy making them use real rescues, edited to fit for TV, but then they started to read the logs and thought " No one could make this stuff up." The other reason is there were no forced fake back stories. By the end of Season one they completely dropped any hit of a relationship between Bracket and Dixie. They mention Roy's wife in maybe 3 or 4 episodes and the only other characters that were married were Stanely and Stoker.
nothing worse than being in the firehouse and having a bad lunch/dinner... makes the shift go by just much slower 😩😩😩😩😩😩
Where’s Marco’s chili 🙂
I remember one episode where they went to a kitchen fire and met a gourmet chef who gave them a very complex recipe. Johnny and Roy spent the whole episode trying to make it. At the end they gave up and just mixed everything together snd served it. The crew ate it and kept talking about how good it was
I just watched that the other night. 😊
This show always makes me hungry.😆
12. Not eating it. 11. Yum 10. Tastes like chicken 9. Take this steak and shove it 8. Ruth Buzzi burns fish 7. Freshly caught 6. You did what? 5. Burnt chili 4. Mike makes chicken 3. Clam chowder for Dr. Early 2. Yuck 🤮 1. We ate it, daddy.
How about badmeals and very much leftovers noon wants.
How about badmealsandleftoversnobodywants.
12. Chet makes hash. 11. Johnny likes Roy's eggs. 10. Mike had made Tuna Salad and Johnny remarks that it tastes like chicken salad. 9. Chet made nasty sauce in the end of the "Great Crash Diet" hence the "Take this steak and shove it." 8. In Ruth Buzzi's guest appearance, she would burn the fish. 7. Johnny waves fresh fish at Captain Stanley who dislikes fish. 6. Chet made them something else for lunch. 5. Chet burns chili when "Renee" visits. 4. Apparently, Stoker is a fried chicken master. 3. Captain Stanley's specialty is Clam Chowder, and it's Dr. Early's favorite dish. 2. Billy makes a nasty concoction, sending Johnny and Roy to eat at the hospital. 1. Roy made Beef Bourginon. It was eaten.
I can watch these shows all day
If I was old as I was now, then… I would show them what good cooking is all about! 👍😎😁
These were a crack up 😅😂😂😂. Great picks. The clam chowder one was actually sad 😔. It was when Joe was hospitalized with his heart attack.
I loved this show!!!! I wish I could get Cozi tv here!!!! This show was so great and funny!!! Rampart!!!!❤❤❤❤.....
That clam chowder bit, if you'll recall, was from "The Hard Hours", where Johnny and Roy were eventually going to have to tell Captain Stanley that Joe Early was undergoing heart surgery. So a few emotions were triggered.
Emergency tv show 51 was best show to watch every day also I watch it on my phone 📱 and my cable TV 📺 from Brendon I been watching the show since I was a kid 🧒 now iam married 👰 I still watching the show

Emergency! From Mark VII Limited and Universal Studios Association....
We never closed ❤️🤍💙.....
Those who watches Chicago Fire and Chicago Med.... regular on Wednesday besides myself: all I got to say is this: you and I are about to have a little sit down conversation about the Emergency 51 Paramedics..... the 1970s Medical TV Series Show says it all....
Other than that, Congratulations and Happy 51st Birthday to Emergency!🌈❤️🤍💙
Bestshowever
I learned how to cook when I was a firefighter. I usually did Italian dishes. My lasagna got good reviews. If there was large fires, and more crews were there , sometimes cooked for large amount of people. It was kind of a drag though when we would just sit down to eat and get a call!
This is the cooolest
I love watching the show Emergency! as a kid and I still enjoy it in a box set. I love the show. I have a t-shirt and a plack of the two actors. I still have a crush on Johnny Gage aka Randy Mantooth. Love from Marysville California KMG 365
I really love this show!
I loved this show and CHiPs ❤
Both gage and DeSoto should become paramedics at Penrith NSW ambulance service
Look it’s set as my pager tone, it’s wonderful
All fired up
I think they did a good job
Really great
I actually want to try Squad 51's cooking.
I don't.
That is so cool I it.
Never let Chet cook. Seriously, the mans culinary skills were..questionable.
One day I'd love to cook for my volunteer Fire department at Blackheath Mt Victoria volunteer Fire department
How about the episode where the Fire Chief wants to stay for dinner and they tell him that Stoker is cooking and the Chief says "You don't get to be chief of a department without learning how to eat some really bad food. And get a haircut Gage."
Give me some eggs lupin
anything chet cooked wasn't fit for human consumption
What is it?
Stew! ( As though everyone should know that).
Have two boys in firefighters and EMT, it's got to be in the blood, loved emergency. Mr mañtooth, Did you really fall slide that much I saw mainly on bloopers your expressions on your face awesome. Also so glad you love fur babies, They know you better than anyone, so smart Have a good day , Take care. Janet OFerrell
ja ja ja ja ja ja .....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No trout aloud
Thanks for still showing episodes of Emergency! but why in the world would you move the airings to 7 and 8am?!?!?!?!?! And then replaced it with Bones, no less. Terrible decision!! I never have and never will watch an episode of Bones. Please move Emergency! back to afternoon or early evening. Thanks!
0:09-0:13 Alarm sounds
Today’s show was funny about The Arthritis.
I watch the Great Cooks in FDNY with there big sides of Beef cooking. Then watch Emergency and see how some of the other Stations around the US eat. Why are FDNY masters at meals.
