    kinetic energy from walking or running should have/be the shoes only power source and would make the shoe more futuristic and "green"

      Insole battery chargers exist but they can barely charge a phone let alone batteries big enough for motors yet.

      So what? You'd simply have to walk at least 10 miles just to be able to take off your shoes :-)

      damn that's a good idea.
      to the naysayers, they can have both the automatic charging and the regular electric charging. it would extend the battery rather.

      Or you could use that credit card to pay your car payment, your family, mortgage, food, bills... you get it. what I'm trying to say is if you make 2-4 grand a month are you going to seriously use half or a quarter of that for a novelty item? Not me.

    • @ThoughtSpinnr

      I do the same.

    • @Merecir
      @Merecir 8 років тому +9

      I used to do that as well. And I kept wearing out the inside of the heel.
      But then i discovered elastic shoelaces.
      Boom, easy to put on and off while also fitting snugly. (it took a while to get used to)
      Now the thing that gets worn out first is the rubber sole, and I can use the shoes far longer.

    • @DanielGarciaNYC
      @DanielGarciaNYC 8 років тому +2

      Katherine Serven when I made my comment I didn't factor in those people you mentioned for that very same reason. Handicap and people with medical issues have set routines that help them with their everyday life.They also for the most part live on set budget. I know this cause I dealt with and worked with people who have various disabilities many years ago. The sneaker will be a fad to those who just need to have the latest trend. They will be expensive because technology like this isn't cheap and to mass produce is not as well.

    • @cybersunshine20
      @cybersunshine20 8 років тому

      I understand how expensive technology and production can be. Not to mention advertising etc. However, selling this product at a reasonable price would allow more people to be able to buy them as opposed to a smaller number of people. If the product is less expensive, more people would probably buy more than one pair. They may start out as a fad, but if they are useful to people who have disabilities, they would be bought after a fad has passed.

Until ZERO POINT ENERGY unlimited wireless technology/energy is released, or invented (was previously invented by a Serbian inventer nikola telsa but was suppressed due to illegal technology and other interests that control the market) Until these things change and we have better technology which has less output then it does input then we are in the future... harnessing the energy that is already around us without effecting the planet on drastic measures is the key. But that would put the big oil and tech corporations out of business.. u dig?

      In the future, I'm sure they'll find ways to shrink the motors in the shoe to allow them to put power lacing in normal sized shoes and not just high tops.

      timespaice youre forgetting the cost of development and marketing, which inflates things considerably. You cant just imagine the cost of the raw materials and thats it.

      lol. Cost of development and marketing did not inflate this from $10 to $800. Get outta here. The only thing that inflates the price from the raw product is the brand name and greedy corporate fat cats
