Literally have NEVER seen a bike engine in a car WITHOUT a bike transmission. It would be 100x harder to do the swap if you didn't swap both in together dude.
Could buy a nice little quickshifter too then flat foot it. New ones also have launch control. Bikes are soo freaking easy to jailbreak those ECU's compared to cars.
@@dreadnaught688 Every modern tranmission in a car or bike regardless of H pattern or sequential is constant mesh. The clutchless shifts acheiveable because bike transmissions, and race car gearboxes have dog-engagemnt rather than synchomeshes. Which still has nothing to do with H pattern vs sequential.
Unless you have a quick shifter this is false. It will cause problems with the shifting fork as well as other issues down the road. Ask me how I know... I have just under 200,000 miles under my belt on Ninjas.
AWESOME. Imagine Harley Davidson swapping it?! Such a cool build, any reason why a Miata instead of a car with the engine behind the driver? I'd love to see this engine in a Lotus or even an old Fiero or MR2.
@@ReedMakeCar Your wish will be fulfilled. Your stuff drives me nuts, my 1991 NA is giving me sideeye through the window all day since i first saw your channel :D

Classic miata tranny sound, what isnt classoc the removal of the dashs bottom deck. ive mever thought of getting rid of weight that way. Very good discovery thumbs ☝to that
I have always wondered how hard it is on it moving something heavier than it was designed to do, those dont make torque just high revs. I know a miata is light but do you think it will wear out any faster? Just curious. Really cool car too. I remember a video of a smart car with a busa motor in it. I would love to do a Del Sol with a rear engine zx14r. Hahaha.
what makes you think that they dont make torque? compare it to a hyundai 1.3 NA motor. cbr makes 75lb/ft of torque and the hyundai 1.3 makes 86lb/ft of torque with a 30% displacement advantage.
@@microsoft790 The OP asked if it will wear out any faster because of the low torque numbers. Your example of the Hyundai 1.3L engine being able to have enough torque to haul a car, compared to the CBR torque hauling a car, implying you think it's enough torque. Even though it's enough to haul a car, the fact is that it needs 6000-10000 RPMS to pull the same amount of weight as it would a Hyundai 1.3 NA motor, means that it's working much much harder, so in theory that CBR motor is going to fail much faster.

@@BoredLikeHelI I second this. Either chain or driveshaft I've seen no one swap a transmission not from a bike, onto a bike engine

bro this is dope, I always thought about doing someting like this but i was concerned about how fast you would burn up the clutch
There's no need to use the clutch on a bike transmission. Just preload the shifter and let off the throttle
