I love how Riot changed Lissandra from being a fearsome ancient being into someone who is actually empathetic towards the world's existence. I have been a fan of Lissandra and her lore since her released and I can tell from the start that this girl was going to play a vital part in the League universe as a whole, thus she did. However, judging from her story I believe that those dream crossing thing was merely an attempt to keep the Frozen Watchers bound. I agree with daddy Necrit that those iceborns are no more than a weapon to keep the evil contained. After all, she did sacrifice both of her sisters to achieve similar goal. Well you gotta accept that it is in her nature to be manipulative. Despite that, we as Ice Witch fans ..love her still!
Yes! I love how they turn this bad ass witch into somewhat a wanna be hero who want to save the world while back then she was preparing the world for their return 😂😂 (the sacrifices she did tho back in the old lore just for them 😂😂😂) Lissandra would always be my main and my fav champ

Man, I really wanna see how Nunu and Willump fit into all this. From what it sounds like, Nunu possesses great power(possibly greater than the ice born, maybe even a direct descended to one of the other two sisters). Willump will eventually have to turn Nunu into a warrior and use his great power to help defeat the Watchers. Not to mention that The Watchers are only ONE part of the void's invasion. There's still void born in Shurima and the ones that have escaped near Demacia(though I'm not sure if they retconed that).
And then, after the void has been defeated, There's still Aatrox who wants to destroy everything in hopes to destroy himself and Mordekaiser who want to expand his never ending empire.
and of course, there's still Xerath who's going to level Shurima fighting Azir.......
AND we can't forget about whatever the frick is happening below Bildgewater and the ever growing threat of Ruination at the hands of the Shadow Isles.
Oh, and the world runes are a thing.......all this and Taric is still protecting that flower since 2016.
What's this about something below bilgewater?
@@nunbeam It's either the Swimming City from Pyke's story or the black mist(?) that probably and after effect of the harrowing that's below Bilgewater. I'm not entirely certain but something freaking is going on under the sea.

As a side note: it would be dope if Syndra helped her hold back the Watchers and received a Freljord skin (just like Sylas did)... maybeeee...
I pray for them to be somehow connected in future story or at least, for Syndra to aknowledge the existence of the Void.

Yeah it is literally stated that was Volibear that blinded her, I got the tool tip fact in my last game.

I'm loving how the lore is flowing and I particularly enjoyed how this story was written, so intricate and trippy! Looking forward to see Reathe develop too, I would bet on her becoming the champion side character.

The Russian event for this story ended in june! Why it took them so long to release it?
fun fact: The story was called "Keeper of dreams" back than. And after collecting all parts of the story you were given a choice to decide who will answer Lissandra's call
had to run it past multiple people and groups to finally publish it, and probably wanted to wait after the cinematic and release of freljord sylas (more lore progression)

I like that there's a reference to each one of her abilities, you could see Shamble as her passive (it would also fit the theory that he died)
Now I'm having some mixed feelings about Lissandra, dude, I can't even imagine how it's like to be in her skin.

The dark star skins are in a alternate universe like most other skins, right?
@@thekingofrock3ps465 i don't remember who, but someone has an interaction talking about some cosmic horrors, and how runeterra was lucky they hadn't gazed into that planet, or something like that. But most likely yes, they are from an alternate universe.

Odyssey and Dark Star are now connected thanks to Rhaast. Cosmic is also connected thanks to Dark Cosmic Jhin.

honestly after hearing of how Lissandra's body looks i'm really wanting a skin for her that shows what she looks like without the mask thing she wears over her eyes. In the picture she has such beautiful, but deadly eyes. I would love to see an in-game skin that reflects the picture revealing her in the way the story gave, but I know that will not happen anytime soon and possibly not ever.
We do not suspect that it was Voli. We know. One of the loading screen "Did you know:" tells it.

The thing that bothers me the most is that "The Volibear" is still kind of a mystery of what it actually is.
Despite Riot saying they didn't wanna continue that theme for the actual champion, it's still kind of there without a clear meaning.
Thats part of his identity.... Also love how ornn is trying to be alone but we know a lot about him then about voli who is trying to, you know KILL HUMANS and be less inconspicuous
This was a fun video. I always thought Liss was evil, but now I know she has just gone mad with trying to keep the watchers at bay.
Hey Necrit what do you think about Soraka's and Leona's Legendary skins ? I feel like the story told about Soraka Dawnbringer and Solar Eclipse Leona are the same. A war between gods with the result of only humans remaining left. All the while with Soraka being on Runeterra, I feel that she is about to bring peace between Lunaris and Solaris to face the Void or something like that ( because Soraka can both wield Nightbringer and Dawnbringer skin and she talk about bringing peace )

i think the blue men is her passive he die close to her...and she is use he to bring the ice born (wich is no too many) to the guard. she know the ice will break. not only that the war of ashe, sejuani and her is coming too so i think maby she is making warriors.

I don’t know why but that image of a huge Lissandra in a completely black dress standing behind the black sun just terrifies me. I don’t know why but that image is so haunting to me.
Im glad we're getting more lore
The dream where she was so compassionate with the dying man really shows how multi-faceted she really is. She has made mistakes, lived to regret them, and does all in her power to correct them. No matter the cost. Yet she still retains a purity within her, that sometimes we can sometimes see, and yet for her task - which is greater than most - an emotionally detached mind is often required. Very complex and fascinating being.

Who else wants an in-depth League cinematic on Lissandra? They could easily make one showing her sacrifice her sisters to imprison the Watchers. I can already imagine the cool visuals of her trapping them in true ice

Actually, that lore piece came from a Russian lore event where players needed to play for getting pages of text and decide which end is a canon. I hope they will do more events like that.

I've always thought that Lissandra is nothkng but a manipulative witch who's primal goal is to reborn the world in ice. No. She's more than that. Her only fault was making a pact with the Void, but she was desperate. She was brave when she froze/handicapped/disabled the Watchers despite it being her fault. She could've ran away, but no, she stayed and acted her penance for her sin. She has so many layers as a character that may seem very monotonous. She was cruel and manipulative for a reason and it really gives her so much depths and substance as a complex character. If Lissandra gave up a long time ago, the world they know about wouldn't exist in the present.
What was the quote on the champion update video lately? Some demons should remain in the past - or so.. I wonder if it was refering to an Ancient Watcher..

I think the man being made of true ice (or even ice) is plausible. I mean, remember when they changed Lissandra's passive? Maybe her current passive is actually part of her powers, considering she uses her ultimate (encasing herself in dark ice) and her Q (throwing frozen shards of ice that shatter on impact) in this story I believe that makes it plausible she turned the dying man into a frozen thrall.
I love it when a champion actually utilises what they are capable of according to the lore in-game instead of them being entirely separate.
