I love how Riot changed Lissandra from being a fearsome ancient being into someone who is actually empathetic towards the world's existence. I have been a fan of Lissandra and her lore since her released and I can tell from the start that this girl was going to play a vital part in the League universe as a whole, thus she did. However, judging from her story I believe that those dream crossing thing was merely an attempt to keep the Frozen Watchers bound. I agree with daddy Necrit that those iceborns are no more than a weapon to keep the evil contained. After all, she did sacrifice both of her sisters to achieve similar goal. Well you gotta accept that it is in her nature to be manipulative. Despite that, we as Ice Witch fans ..love her still!

Man, I really wanna see how Nunu and Willump fit into all this. From what it sounds like, Nunu possesses great power(possibly greater than the ice born, maybe even a direct descended to one of the other two sisters). Willump will eventually have to turn Nunu into a warrior and use his great power to help defeat the Watchers. Not to mention that The Watchers are only ONE part of the void's invasion. There's still void born in Shurima and the ones that have escaped near Demacia(though I'm not sure if they retconed that). And then, after the void has been defeated, There's still Aatrox who wants to destroy everything in hopes to destroy himself and Mordekaiser who want to expand his never ending empire. and of course, there's still Xerath who's going to level Shurima fighting Azir....... AND we can't forget about whatever the frick is happening below Bildgewater and the ever growing threat of Ruination at the hands of the Shadow Isles. Oh, and the world runes are a thing.......all this and Taric is still protecting that flower since 2016.

As a side note: it would be dope if Syndra helped her hold back the Watchers and received a Freljord skin (just like Sylas did)... maybeeee...

The thing that bothers me the most is that "The Volibear" is still kind of a mystery of what it actually is. Despite Riot saying they didn't wanna continue that theme for the actual champion, it's still kind of there without a clear meaning.

They really make amazing storys. Many of them can be illustrated into other things, like comics and animations. Strange that you don't see people make fan comics to bring these stories to life
honestly after hearing of how Lissandra's body looks i'm really wanting a skin for her that shows what she looks like without the mask thing she wears over her eyes. In the picture she has such beautiful, but deadly eyes. I would love to see an in-game skin that reflects the picture revealing her in the way the story gave, but I know that will not happen anytime soon and possibly not ever.
Actually, that lore piece came from a Russian lore event where players needed to play for getting pages of text and decide which end is a canon. I hope they will do more events like that.

She value life. If she didn't and she didn't kill those people, the Watchers will awaken and more deaths will ensue. More than how much Lissandra has done already.
Lissandra is a complex character. From what we learn in her lore, she mades decisions without being careful just to ensure her and her sisters would survive. Because of her mistakes, she had to sacrifice her own sisters to ensure that the Watchers wouldn't hurt more people or ruin the world, which clearly proves she values life. She feels guilty for what she has done and sadly, since her seal against the Watchers isn't that efficient, she has to sacrifice other lives for the greater good. I think it is for the best that she hides the truth from the people of the Freljord.
The dream where she was so compassionate with the dying man really shows how multi-faceted she really is. She has made mistakes, lived to regret them, and does all in her power to correct them. No matter the cost. Yet she still retains a purity within her, that sometimes we can sometimes see, and yet for her task - which is greater than most - an emotionally detached mind is often required. Very complex and fascinating being.
So this story explains that for every sleep claims a piece of Lissandra, every waking moment, every single dream...... AS THE MASSES CAME LIKE A SHADOW THROUGH THIS LAND.

I've always thought that Lissandra is nothkng but a manipulative witch who's primal goal is to reborn the world in ice. No. She's more than that. Her only fault was making a pact with the Void, but she was desperate. She was brave when she froze/handicapped/disabled the Watchers despite it being her fault. She could've ran away, but no, she stayed and acted her penance for her sin. She has so many layers as a character that may seem very monotonous. She was cruel and manipulative for a reason and it really gives her so much depths and substance as a complex character. If Lissandra gave up a long time ago, the world they know about wouldn't exist in the present.

i feel so bad for liss, she never wanted any of this. they were just 3 sisters, not perfect humans, they had flaws and weaknesses, but sisters and humans still. then she lost her sight and in an attempt to continue seeing the world, she dreamt and let her spirit reach corners of the universe only to be found and trapped into the warped reality of the watchers. even after millennia and the sacrifices she's willing to make, she still finds the time to sit with a dying man so he won't have to go alone. alone... because she knows what that's like. i also like how the sisters were essentially identical triplets. all white hair, blue eyes, similar facial features. ashe, sej and lissandra, they all look very similar if not the same. imagine liss having to sacrifice her twins to save the world from ending and sealing the watchers away. my fucking heart, man.
I think the man being made of true ice (or even ice) is plausible. I mean, remember when they changed Lissandra's passive? Maybe her current passive is actually part of her powers, considering she uses her ultimate (encasing herself in dark ice) and her Q (throwing frozen shards of ice that shatter on impact) in this story I believe that makes it plausible she turned the dying man into a frozen thrall. I love it when a champion actually utilises what they are capable of according to the lore in-game instead of them being entirely separate.
I kinda agree with some of the other comments. My theory is that Reathe is gonna be the vessel for the others who lissandra summoned. May even be a similar rendition to aphelios but a mage version

i feel so bad for liss, she never wanted any of this. they were just 3 sisters, not perfect humans, they had flaws and weaknesses, but sisters and humans still. then she lost her sight and in an attempt to continue seeing the world, she dreamt and let her spirit reach corners of the universe only to be found and trapped into the warped reality of the watchers. even after millennia and the sacrifices she's willing to make, she still finds the time to sit with a dying man so he won't have to go alone. alone... because she knows what that's like.
i also like how the sisters were essentially identical triplets. all white hair, blue eyes, similar facial features. ashe, sej and lissandra, they all look very similar if not the same. imagine liss having to sacrifice her twins to save the world from ending and sealing the watchers away. my fucking heart, man.
Maybe that's the point of many characters not knowing what is going to be the new champ getting a surprise

I think the man being made of true ice (or even ice) is plausible. I mean, remember when they changed Lissandra's passive? Maybe her current passive is actually part of her powers, considering she uses her ultimate (encasing herself in dark ice) and her Q (throwing frozen shards of ice that shatter on impact) in this story I believe that makes it plausible she turned the dying man into a frozen thrall.
I love it when a champion actually utilises what they are capable of according to the lore in-game instead of them being entirely separate.
I kinda agree with some of the other comments. My theory is that Reathe is gonna be the vessel for the others who lissandra summoned. May even be a similar rendition to aphelios but a mage version
