Like he sees Nasus at the Brink of death, and just for a brief moment he remembers where it all began, how he was walking towards the sundisc with the withered and diying body of hes beloved brother, willing to die so Nasus would ascend and be cured... A very expedted but really cool plotwist that I hope they include.
Xerath and Renekton aren't allies for what I remember. It's Xerath who tore Renekton's mind for a 1000 years minimum. Being stuck alone in the dark with only one other creature. Renekton is the leader of a Bandit group and Xerath owns a clut. But they aren't allies.
Kinda has to be. In an empire that probably has countless spies slithering around, who knows who could be listening even when you're talking in private. And if history hasn't shown you what happens when people have to free slaves, I can't explain any better. Still would have took a risk and told my best friend though

nasus's story: nice childhood, smart guy, many legendary deeds, saved from death and achieved immortality, lives in pursuit of knowledge and has a stable mind. renekton's story: difficult childhood, doesn't like to study, almost got himself into prison, became a legendary warlord, saved his brother from death risking his own life, achieved immortality at the cost of his humanity, sacrificed himself again and after centuries of torture became mad and obsessed with killing his beloved brother. Zed is actually the one more reasonable and, i guess i could say smarter, either way their conflict was part of their dad's scheming. Also to the general comment above, Darius and Draven specifically don't fit, as they are the only siblings (at least mentioned here) that never had any conflict with one anouther. To this day, they stand together.
Well, i remember this comic in the mobile game, where draven challenged darius in arena and darius, as he was entering, said that he challenged the hand of noxus, so he'd need to kill draven now.. But I'm pretty sure he wouldn't really...even if it wasn' for that basilisk.. right?

I *think* that Void will be next, because they simply have more weight in the story than Ixtal. Like, I'd love me some Ixtal, but the void has been a major threat for forever, whereas Ixtal has six champions. Two of them, Malphite and Rengar, are most defined by their antagonism towards the void, Needalee needs an overhaul badly and should't be released before she had one, Neeko lacks narrative direction. This leaves us with Zyra and Quiyana, who absolutely have the potential to be big threats and major players in Runeterra, but... aren't. Like, outside of their respective lore and focus stories, nobody seems to notice them. Sure, eventually there will be the arrogant elementalist leading a siege against... Piltover, I guess. Eventually Zyras plant army might threaten Shurima. But going by the set up, it won't be before Viegos ghost apocalypse has resolved, a revolution has shaken Demacia, Noxus has gotten its reckoning at the hands of Mordekaiser and Rell, and probably the breakout of the Void in Icathia and Frelljord. Basically, I wouldn't expect Quiyana to do anything big in the story before 2025, and that's only if the assume Riot remains a coward that refuses to deal with Piltover and Zaun.

But as Wissi said, if you are from one of the places Renekton conquered, Renekton is the guy that slaughtered your friends and family in the name of Shurima, forced you under Shurimas heel, took slaves in the name of Shurima and then saved you from a problem Shurima created by having slaves, which may not qualifiy him as a hero.

@@jeyjeykoo9447 the reason Malphite is paired with Shurima is since LoR will only include 10 regions for now, leaving Ixtal/Bandle City out of the game. Also, Malphite going Shurima makes sense since Shurima and Ixtal are close by on the world map.

Yeah, riot tends to update the base lore and work on world building with every character they introduce. So you can bet your bottom dollar more yordle lore is coming
Actually, the introduction for the new Yordle implied they're very much done with Bandle City, because they hate colors and happiness, so I doubt they'll have Yordle connections that'd justify more focus on them.

I am still hoping that Setaka will one day come out as a playable champion. She was an Ascended Queen who died in a war against the Void, I mean... there are some really cool ways to bring her back, like a resurrected Darkin, or Void infested corpse, or maybe.... just maybe.... revived by Ruination....
Was she a queen that called Aatrox to aid her in battle against void? I know that some queen called Aatrox to fight the void, he managed to defeat void and then Darkin war happend, and then unholy Aatrox was made.

Renekton was more than a brute force. In the lore it’s mentioned that he has written some of Shurima’s finest works of literature. Adds some depth to his character imo
Random theory, but what if Renekton was disfigured after becoming ascended, not physically but mentally? It could explain why he slowly became animalistic even without the void, which is what caused the other ascended to go mad.

I’ve played Nasus but I never read his lore, I always thought he was a bad guy not a big nerd who became a literal god just so he could read books forever.
Idk if it's bc my imagination a bit dramatic or because the story is so well-written or just because Necrit is amazing at narrating but when he was the bit where Renekton rushed on the steps of the Sun Disc to carry Nasus into it's light, my eyes welled up imagining the gloriously tragic scene. The amount of emotions that this scene carried is amazing, between Renekton's selflessness, Nasus pleading his brother not to sacrifice himself for him, the people watching the scene in horror and shock. OOF, it's so good
I really want a Renekton redemption story some time. I know it would be a big swap from how he is in game, but it would be cool if he got a legendary skin where he regains his sanity.

no he siphons the souls of the minions or something. I think that's why it is called siphoning strike. Its kind of a recurring theme in his kit, his passive is called soul eater and his w is called wither. He just has a thing for death.
Shuriman lore is my favorite from the whole game. You don't know how excited I am to see some of it revisted. I hope maybe how this year is all about Viego and the ruinned king, maybe next year can advance the story of Shurima. Because for us it ends as Azir got reseructed, I want to see what he does!
I always thought renekton was just always bloodthirsty and savage against his brother and nasus smart and cruel and they fought cuz they hated each other since I never knew the lore, now seeing that Nasus is actually very kind and renekton was also loyal but twisted give me such a different perspective on them. I’m just confused as to why Xerath isn’t in the starting set for Shurima in LoR, but I assume he isn’t popular enough to come out with the first group, and may be treated similar to how Aphelios’s release was treated.
I think it's also partially because he's more distinct from the central theme of Shurima? Like, the Ascended are basically the signature champions for Shurima. Like, giving us sets that revolve around Nasus, Renekton and Azir help creating the general idea of Shurima in the available cards. Later additions tend to add sets more specifically based on singular champions. For example, the Vanguard is very central to the idea of Demacia, so it made sense to put them in early on. The Dragonwatch, however, is only really important to Shyvanas story, so they'd have contributed little to the core idea of the faction. Likewise, I imagine Azir will give us cards based around the general populace of Shurima, Nasus, as a general, will give us Shuriman troups and Renekton gives us bandits of the sands, all of which paint the central image, whereas Xerath and his cult will probably join in later, with his cultists not really fitting into the everyday image of the region.

Riot should do a music video for these two. Seeing Nasus slowly and painfully going up to the sun disk with a very intense soundtrack, to Renekton seeing this from the side only to grab hold of Nasus when he feel to his knees intensifying it more to show the love of the two brothers. And cut the music as the sun disk bathe them in light. It would be GREAT to see this happen
I kinda wish riot would do VGU’s a little bit more often. It’d be nice to bring things in like with the modern style of league, and give them an opportunity to actually work things like the fact that Renekton and Nasus used to be brothers into the game. It’d be cool for Renekon to have a kill line for nasus where his mind clears and realizes “holy shit I’ve just killed my brother in cold blood. I’m so sorry nasus.”

Hey man, i know it's not related to the video, but i made a Valorant theory based on what you said about in your video Let's say first the new things So actually the new characters are : Killjoy: a german engineer who seems to be a lot famous, in fact from his interaction, we can understand that a lot of nations are using her technology Skye: An australian adventurer who is actually a radiant, in fact she can control the grass or the wilderness. From his card we can see how there are some Kingdom’s buildings in the australian wild, which are actually damaging the life around them, so I think she’s trying to destroy those buildings Yoru: a japanese radiant who can manipulate the reality, also he can travel through dimensions thanks to his mask, although he doesn’t always use it to cast his ability, and that can be quite confusing. The new maps Ascent: the first time we saw this map, we immediately understood that this is one of the flying islands in Italy. But if you look closely, the site B is pretty similar to the tutorial map, so this can confirm that the agents of the VALORANT protocol are hiding in Italy. Also there are a few freezed-in-time spike’s explosions, BUT the particular thing is that at the center of the map there is a modern building with the Kingdom logo. Last thing to say it’s that the city in question is Venice, since there are a lot of boats and fish markets. Icebox: this map actually gives us a lot of information, in fact this seems to be the place where the Radianite is conserved. Where is the radianite? In the containers obviously, and I can tell this because the gru near the B site is actually grabbing a radianite box, BUT the most curios thing is the A site, becuase there are the Laboratories, where 2 particular things can be found: a room full of details where we can’t enter and what seems to be a hibernation capsule, like the Futurama ones for example. Why are they important? There is a Shogun armor where a strange matter (which has the same colors of the spike explosion) is leaving the armor to escape the building. Actually i don’t know why they put this, but this surely means something important for the future updates. And now, there is my theory I think this is going to blow up your mind since the detalis where always there: When we fight, we defuse and plant spikes with items created by the Kingdom, so if we’re allied with the same ally, why we’re also fighting them? In the Sova card we can see how in the russian snow, Sova found this blue circle, and the fact that even the name of his card is “Through the mirror” made me think that that blue circle could be a portal. When i saw the card called “bridge between worlds” my mind blew up and i came up with the idea that (still not certain) Valorant is a war between two worlds, and there are three things that make me think that: - The card “bridge between worlds” - The ability of Yoru to travel across dimensions - An interaction of Skye, who says: ”Like us, but different”, so actually they know they are fighting their copies And the first Light was planned by the one who now is the Kingdom’s boss. So when we are playing a Valorant game, we’re fighting a battle between two worlds, where the inhabitants of one world is trying to steal the radianite from the other world. So it is just a war in which there are no heroes or villains There are still some things that i’m not sure about: - If the Kingdom boss of the other world knew that the First Light will happen, and if he collaborated with the Kingdom boss of our world; - Why we aren’t rebelling to the Kingdom, when we could just enter in the Headquarters and kill the boss What do you think?

@@aHat69 they are not really brothers, zed isn' in the bloodline, and their story is far more...twisted. Have you read the latest comic? Zed is actually the one more reasonable and, i guess i could say smarter, either way their conflict was part of their dad's scheming.
Also to the general comment above, Darius and Draven specifically don't fit, as they are the only siblings (at least mentioned here) that never had any conflict with one anouther. To this day, they stand together.
Well, i remember this comic in the mobile game, where draven challenged darius in arena and darius, as he was entering, said that he challenged the hand of noxus, so he'd need to kill draven now.. But I'm pretty sure he wouldn't really...even if it wasn' for that basilisk.. right?

I *think* that Void will be next, because they simply have more weight in the story than Ixtal. Like, I'd love me some Ixtal, but the void has been a major threat for forever, whereas Ixtal has six champions. Two of them, Malphite and Rengar, are most defined by their antagonism towards the void, Needalee needs an overhaul badly and should't be released before she had one, Neeko lacks narrative direction. This leaves us with Zyra and Quiyana, who absolutely have the potential to be big threats and major players in Runeterra, but... aren't. Like, outside of their respective lore and focus stories, nobody seems to notice them. Sure, eventually there will be the arrogant elementalist leading a siege against... Piltover, I guess. Eventually Zyras plant army might threaten Shurima. But going by the set up, it won't be before Viegos ghost apocalypse has resolved, a revolution has shaken Demacia, Noxus has gotten its reckoning at the hands of Mordekaiser and Rell, and probably the breakout of the Void in Icathia and Frelljord. Basically, I wouldn't expect Quiyana to do anything big in the story before 2025, and that's only if the assume Riot remains a coward that refuses to deal with Piltover and Zaun.
My biggest question is, can the darken feel the rebirth of their emperor and sun disk? Man I’d also like a story of Ascended Aatrox

If a hero is a guy that helped the greedy expansion of an empire built on the back of slaves, but then, after one of the slaves went mad and started killing people, sacrificed himself to lock the guy up, sure Renekton is a hero. But as Wissi said, if you are from one of the places Renekton conquered, Renekton is the guy that slaughtered your friends and family in the name of Shurima, forced you under Shurimas heel, took slaves in the name of Shurima and then saved you from a problem Shurima created by having slaves, which may not qualifiy him as a hero.

Yeah, riot tends to update the base lore and work on world building with every character they introduce. So you can bet your bottom dollar more yordle lore is coming

Actually, the introduction for the new Yordle implied they're very much done with Bandle City, because they hate colors and happiness, so I doubt they'll have Yordle connections that'd justify more focus on them.

Renekton was more than a brute force. In the lore it’s mentioned that he has written some of Shurima’s finest works of literature. Adds some depth to his character imo

Random theory, but what if Renekton was disfigured after becoming ascended, not physically but mentally? It could explain why he slowly became animalistic even without the void, which is what caused the other ascended to go mad.

I think its why they had to weigh who could ascend. Because obviously renekton was worthy to ascend, but not meant to.

Idk if it's bc my imagination a bit dramatic or because the story is so well-written or just because Necrit is amazing at narrating but when he was the bit where Renekton rushed on the steps of the Sun Disc to carry Nasus into it's light, my eyes welled up imagining the gloriously tragic scene. The amount of emotions that this scene carried is amazing, between Renekton's selflessness, Nasus pleading his brother not to sacrifice himself for him, the people watching the scene in horror and shock.

I always thought renekton was just always bloodthirsty and savage against his brother and nasus smart and cruel and they fought cuz they hated each other since I never knew the lore, now seeing that Nasus is actually very kind and renekton was also loyal but twisted give me such a different perspective on them. I’m just confused as to why Xerath isn’t in the starting set for Shurima in LoR, but I assume he isn’t popular enough to come out with the first group, and may be treated similar to how Aphelios’s release was treated.
I think it's also partially because he's more distinct from the central theme of Shurima? Like, the Ascended are basically the signature champions for Shurima. Like, giving us sets that revolve around Nasus, Renekton and Azir help creating the general idea of Shurima in the available cards. Later additions tend to add sets more specifically based on singular champions. For example, the Vanguard is very central to the idea of Demacia, so it made sense to put them in early on. The Dragonwatch, however, is only really important to Shyvanas story, so they'd have contributed little to the core idea of the faction. Likewise, I imagine Azir will give us cards based around the general populace of Shurima, Nasus, as a general, will give us Shuriman troups and Renekton gives us bandits of the sands, all of which paint the central image, whereas Xerath and his cult will probably join in later, with his cultists not really fitting into the everyday image of the region.

I found it fitting well with nasus gameplay. Nasus learns and gets power after every single won battle, every single last hit with q.
Riot should do a music video for these two. Seeing Nasus slowly and painfully going up to the sun disk with a very intense soundtrack, to Renekton seeing this from the side only to grab hold of Nasus when he feel to his knees intensifying it more to show the love of the two brothers. And cut the music as the sun disk bathe them in light. It would be GREAT to see this happen

I kinda wish riot would do VGU’s a little bit more often. It’d be nice to bring things in like with the modern style of league, and give them an opportunity to actually work things like the fact that Renekton and Nasus used to be brothers into the game. It’d be cool for Renekon to have a kill line for nasus where his mind clears and realizes “holy shit I’ve just killed my brother in cold blood. I’m so sorry nasus.”

Hey man, i know it's not related to the video, but i made a Valorant theory based on what you said about in your video
Let's say first the new things
So actually the new characters are
:
Killjoy: a german engineer who seems to be a lot famous, in fact from his interaction, we can understand that a lot of nations are using her technology
Skye: An australian adventurer who is actually a radiant, in fact she can control the grass or the wilderness. From his card we can see how there are some Kingdom’s buildings in the australian wild, which are actually damaging the life around them, so I think she’s trying to destroy those buildings
Yoru: a japanese radiant who can manipulate the reality, also he can travel through dimensions thanks to his mask, although he doesn’t always use it to cast his ability, and that can be quite confusing.
The new maps
Ascent: the first time we saw this map, we immediately understood that this is one of the flying islands in Italy. But if you look closely, the site B is pretty similar to the tutorial map, so this can confirm that the agents of the VALORANT protocol are hiding in Italy. Also there are a few freezed-in-time spike’s explosions, BUT the particular thing is that at the center of the map there is a modern building with the Kingdom logo. Last thing to say it’s that the city in question is Venice, since there are a lot of boats and fish markets.
Icebox: this map actually gives us a lot of information, in fact this seems to be the place where the Radianite is conserved. Where is the radianite? In the containers obviously, and I can tell this because the gru near the B site is actually grabbing a radianite box, BUT the most curios thing is the A site, becuase there are the Laboratories, where 2 particular things can be found: a room full of details where we can’t enter and what seems to be a hibernation capsule, like the Futurama ones for example. Why are they important? There is a Shogun armor where a strange matter (which has the same colors of the spike explosion) is leaving the armor to escape the building. Actually i don’t know why they put this, but this surely means something important for the future updates.
And now, there is my theory
I think this is going to blow up your mind since the detalis where always there:
When we fight, we defuse and plant spikes with items created by the Kingdom, so if we’re allied with the same ally, why we’re also fighting them? In the Sova card we can see how in the russian snow, Sova found this blue circle, and the fact that even the name of his card is “Through the mirror” made me think that that blue circle could be a portal. When i saw the card called “bridge between worlds” my mind blew up and i came up with the idea that (still not certain) Valorant is a war between two worlds, and there are three things that make me think that:
- The card “bridge between worlds”
- The ability of Yoru to travel across dimensions
- An interaction of Skye, who says: ”Like us, but different”, so actually they know they are fighting their copies
And the first Light was planned by the one who now is the Kingdom’s boss.
So when we are playing a Valorant game, we’re fighting a battle between two worlds, where the inhabitants of one world is trying to steal the radianite from the other world.
So it is just a war in which there are no heroes or villains
There are still some things that i’m not sure about:
- If the Kingdom boss of the other world knew that the First Light will happen, and if he collaborated with the Kingdom boss of our world;
- Why we aren’t rebelling to the Kingdom, when we could just enter in the Headquarters and kill the boss
