- I started this project last year but didn’t finish it before Christmas. So I held onto the video footage and put the video together for this year! In this video I make a reindeer from a pattern by Judy Gale Roberts. I used Peroba Rosa, verawood, black walnut, red heart, and one lighter shade of wood that I don’t remember. I noticed that the green of the vera has turned brown since last year, bummer. I also used some dowels for part of the reigns on the head. I jump back and forth from last year to this year in the video. Have a Merry Christmas everyone. :)

Love your videos, your energy and the messages you place on the back of all your work. I am a woodturner but your video make me want to try intarsia. I watch one of your videos where you were at Acadian Cypress in Ponchatoula Louisiana and raided the free bin. We have our woodturning meeting there each month. I raided the free bin and even got a really nice piece of cherry for $2 that was under the bin.
Oh wow!!! That is sooo awesome! We stopped by that place quite a few times, it was very hard to find wood in Louisiana. Intarsia is really enjoyable, I just took a wood turning class so I am going to be trying that again soon :)
Cy's Corner it is hard to find wood in Louisiana. We have a wood raffle each meeting and the members bring wood for the raffle
, I have gotten a few nice pieces that way, for turning. I gave my son a delta scroll saw but he has a hard time finding wood so he does not do much. I keep sending him your videos hopping he gets back into it.
The wood raffle is a great idea! Ya, I hope your son gets back into it and finds that he enjoys it. There is always Lowes and Home Depot, not the best variety, but it is still wood!!!

Cy - he's so cute!! Great job. Hey - what grit sandpaper on your pneumatic sander? You mentioned 100, 150 & 220 hand sanding so I got to wondering. Thanks!! Merry Christmas!! 😀🎅🏼
So I have used 100 grit but lately I have switched to 80 grit. 80 is a little too coarse for some of the softer wood though, it just means more sanding with 100 to get the scratches out. But it sands really fast!!!!
Very nice! you do great work the bells are really cool. Just so you know that isnt a pneumatic sander pneumatic means air powered.
