We built a simple DIY dehydrator to preserve our tomatoes, fruit and vegetables. all sorts of food can be dehydrated.
You might call this a drying rack to dry lots of surplus veggies. It's an important tool on our homestead in Portugal

I work in projects with coffee farmers here in Brazil and coffee dehydration is one of the most important parts of coffee processing. This kind of suspended drying surfaces are becoming common worldwide for the production of specialty coffees. Your application just shows that dehydration can be important for other plant cultures as well. Well done!

I sent the link to your video to the guy who built the suspended dryers for my coffee project. Indeed, he built the whole shed where we dried the 31 coffee samples from farmers around the region. He was as clever as you are and I think he will like to watch.

Nothing like the taste of good sun dried tomatoes, I'd say those were delicious! Great job on the dehydrator. Funnily enough this video didn't show on my notifications, they usually do! Anyway it came up as a suggested vid so all good. 🙂

We have never shown the building of the dehydrator before, only a couple of clips. It is old footage and many people asked us to put this together but we couldn’t find the footage. 👍
