    I think these incidents can be minimised if people start teaching students about labour laws in college, instead of just chasing marks and numbers.

      Only helpful if there is a appointment letter.
      In most cases employees can be terminated without any notice as per appointment letter.
      Management reserves the right to do it.

      I agree. Chances are, he would’ve gone back on his word after getting her back to work, or worse still, he could’ve retaliated by framing her with a case where he could’ve dismissed her yet another way.

    My boss did that to me as well. After one year the company went bankrupt. No one was joining them. Good luck with Karma. It never looses an address.

    Companies should have the right to terminate employees just like employees have right to design. That is individual freedom. Labor laws are unjust.
