Proud to be a member of your tribe and Red Barn sure sounds like a catch name to me.
Nathan, I've asked this before but maybe someone will respond this time... I'd like to have a bowl or spoon or something carved from wood from your mill. If anyone buying one of these blanks would be interested in doing business with someone in the UK perhaps they could respond to this note and we can find a way of getting in touch. Or maybe they have a regular online store. If not, well no worries - I'll just go on chewing table legs for a hobby (!).
PS The new place's name should be Pear Trees Gone. 😄😄😄
Poison Ivy on a burn pile is a bad idea. Anywhere the smoke hits, you will break out (eyes, ears, nose, etc.) OR light it and go to the house and hope the wind does not blow in that direction.
When I was a kid, my father burned a pile with poison ivy in it. I got very sick.
Hahahaha
I was in junior high when one of my friends (at the time) showed up and I couldn't recognize him... because his neighbor had burned poison oak and the smoke got on him. He couldn't stay home or in the hospital because it was during Finals week.
Word of advice from an old man. Don’t burn the poison ivy. You will be eat up by the smoke.
Same for Poison Oak and Poison Sumac
Please pay attention to debris building up in your engine compartment when using that mulching attachment. I recently watched a video from Andrew Camarata watching his 80k dollar machine completely burn up. Unfortunately he didn’t have a working fire extinguisher with him and all he could do is watch it burn. He said the cause of the fire may have been from the mulching head. Just a thought.
Can't help thinking that with the soft ground and the creek that Soggy Bottom would be apt.
Here’s my suggestion for naming your new property. Since the Mockingbird is the state bird of Tennessee, you can call it Mockingbird Ranch or Mockingbird Farm. 😊
When your GoPro gets wet and stops working, take the batteries out and cover it in rice for a couple of days. The rice will absorb the water and help keep oxidation from forming.
Busy days between rain showers for sure. Looking forward to the big name reveal..! Blue skies sunny days ahead.
Yes sir
Red Barn Farm. The Other 3. Poison Ivy Acres. Ootwin Patch. I have more if you need 'em.👍
Tell me, did you notice the field rat who jumped out at about the 15:10 point getting away from the hay sickle?
We usually spook several different critters when we cut.
I think Creekside would be a good choice.
I look forward to your videos.
And I too suffer from the poison on the breeze when clearing/cutting brush/fence lines.
Please take heed on the smoke particulates warning from others when burning, as I have had both a sinus/lung problem that required some hospital time from burning poison ivy/oak.
Stay Blessed My Friend.
A good days work and lending a hand too makes a great day all around. Hit the jackpot with the neighbor getting permission was a big deal , keeps you safe and helps both properties to stay cleaned up better. Keep up the great videos and thanks so much for sharing with us. Fred.
Hi. If that creek doesn't have a name call it Bruno creek. And call it Bruno creek property.
This is kind of funny. Here i am sitting outside my cabin in Norway waiting for some thunder and lightning. And so are you doing on the other side of the world 😊😊
Good to see KATO machines again . They were very popular in Australia in the late 60s ,70s and early 80s. Good reliable machines.
Impressive how you keep and maintain good equipment. It is a blessing to have the right equipment for the right job.
Nathan I do love that new brushing attachment you have. Good job on putting that cedar tree down. 👍❤️
Still rootin' for Amen Corner as the new name.
That's quite a great mulch-maker!
With all the rain you said you were getting it was surprising to see how dry the dirt was around the cedar stump you dug out.
At first I wasn't so fond of the farm chores taking up some video time, but it's growing on me. Keep a balance and I think it will be just fine, maybe better.
That attachment on the front of the Kato sure does a fine job!
Your camera angles are amazing.
Good to see you working at (BRUNO'S PLACE) TODAY.......Thanks Nathan....
Old Shoe🇺🇸 just landed....
Hello Nathan. Easy way to limb a tree . Nice to see hay cut . I used to bale when I was a teen . Seeya
Double scrubbing with dawn dish soap helps reduce the oil from the poison ivy when you get it on you.
How about calling the "new" property according to the compass point from the "homeland"? Westland, northland... Just a thought. Be well.
I wear long sleeves working in the woods, keeps the poison sap off my hide. Watch out for the smoke from that burn, it’ll be toxic.
Would a burn pit on the new property save you some time? If you clear all the fence rows and the trees in the middle, you will have a lot of material to burn.
You had mentioned painting the barn after you got the land cleared. I was wondering if you planned to lengthening the barn to give you more room to cover equipment?
You might want to consider adding a clear polycarbonate windshield to your excavator to protect yourself from flying debris off the mulcher.
Nathan how about naming it the Red Barn property? It also looks like you could use another tank at the Red Barn property for diesel fuel. That way you don’t have to run back and forth for fuel
Red Barn Acres
I really really hope I'm wrong but I would think that ginourmous weedwhacker attachment for the mini-excavator is just absolutely slinging poison ivy juice all over every damned thing around there, and what ever you do, don't burn it, stuff seems to float in the smoke.
Suggestion for the new property: "Smokey Acres"
The new prop, "Bruno's Bonanza"!!! Let's give this a lot of attention and thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Come on everyone do it for Bruno.
Gosh, that brush cutter sure made light work of that Cedar tree you cut down Nathan. Glad you finally caught up with your neighbour & was able to forge a deal for the the culvert & gate. That will make things better for both of you. I still say 'Little Creek Farm' for the 'new' property. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
Good day, Nathan. You said the new property is about 3 acres and it is owned by the Elliot family, so how about the name Triple E?
Nathan, another excellent video looking 👀 like 👍 things are getting better at the new property 😮😊❤
Hi Nathan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Nathan & Friends Randy
Yeah, man. watching someone cut hay ranks right up there with watching paint dry. YeeHaw! How exciting!
Always something good going on Nathan! Thanks for all your hard work!!
Always something to do
You have 1 farm/property on a hill, call farm 2 the Creek Farm or The Lower Farm. Or name it using the previous owner’s name like the Smith Farm. Some name derived from your MIL’s name/wife’s maiden name.
I'd rather look at a hedge line than cattle fencing.
Yes, it would be great to leave it if all you had to do was look at it. The problem is in areas of the country where it’s hot and also rains a lot you end up spending time Nathan doesn’t have keeping the (mostly invasive) vegetation in check. It can become an actual jungle, (as evidenced by the area overrun with “bad” pear trees)
Hey Nathan, I know a guy, in your area with a sawmill, that can mill you up some timbers to build a bridge across the creek instead of having to put in a culvert pipe. If you are interested, let me know and I will give you his info 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣.
Cool, thanks
The scene where you're pulling up the stump looks like stop-motion. Kinda cool.
Barn acres would be a great name for the new acres.
The new place should be called CREEKSIDE.
Love that name!
And after the rain comes the steamy humidity
That was a great day after being house bound due to rain. It has been a long time since I've hayed a field. We always had the cycle bar cutter and then would have to harrow the hay up into drying rows before baling it. That cutter was great. Laying the hay down perfectly in nice neat rows skipping an entire step unless he has to go back and turn it. Anyway one of the best smells in the world with fresh cut hay. Great video too. How did you do that? Great angle.
I had to run beside my buddy while he was mowing, lol it looked rediculous
@@OutoftheWoods0623 lol. now that is an image!
Nathan, when you burn poison ivy vines, stay up wind of the smoke, you can get that mess in your lungs!
Another great video, thanks for sharing it with us!
What do you own property? There's always something , and you got to help your neighbors like they help you. That's how our community 👍✝️😊
Do you also tell your Grandma how to suck eggs?
If I can Nathan I’d like to have a go at the name for the new property, how about Pear Trees! Another thing do you think it might be worthwhile for you to get a license for a temporary burn pile for the new property. Looks like it could come in handy in the next few months!
Call your new farm Kato acre...we love your channel...keep doing you.
What is the main feature on this new property, the Red Barn so why not call it "The Red Barn Farm". I really enjoy your videos and watching how your business develops over the years. Love that accent, nothing like that in Blighty land. Thank you for the time you put into making thrdr videos.
You should call that attachment on the excavator the evidence eliminator
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oy Vey! 😁✌🖖
Good job today! What’s the worst or stupendous thing you’d has happened to you since you’ve gotten your new machinery to help you work the farm?
I truly love watching you channel 🤗
I do like the property-improvement vids! 👍
Glad you like them!
I’m glad so many commented about not burning the poison ivy. Now I’m just commenting for the engagement algorithm.
I do a lot of turning and just a suggestion. 3 inches is tight mostly a shallow dish. To be a bowl the blank should be 4 or even 5 inches. And the same dimensions square line 9x9 or 10x10. That extra inch on 10x11 is just sawdust to a bowl turner. Sorry but I have to mention it. I love your beard. Dang I wish I could grow one . Yup folicly challenged. .
That new attachment was definitely money well $pent! 👍
Yes it was!
I'm thinking of mowing my neighbors yard ( small yard 50 X 100 feet with a house ) just for the clippings . Free ( 🤣 ) compost or hay depending on how you store it . I used all I made from my yard .
Shangralaw
would be a a great name for the new property.
Nathan, I'm so allergic to it I start itching just hearing you talk about it.
I think the name of the new property should reflect what's there. Maybe the barnyard!
Looks like you have that brush hog attachment figured out. Nice job.
Thanks 👍
Great video!
Thanks!
Man, those are some nasty looking stumps!
Curious as to why you just didn't use the excavator to dig up the tree from the begining? It's easier than trying to dig up the roots alone.
For the new property, how about Elliot Annex, or Additional Acres?
Good cedar for the chipper lol
So you're going to clean up the creek or ditch running through property can you move it for better use of that side of property
A good way of not getting poison ivy to give you a rash is dawn dish soap and a cold shower. It's the oils that get you. Once you've washed well then take a normal shower. I used to work with bulk riot control agents and it will blister your skin, that is how we kept from getting burned or rashes.
@Nate..how 'bout " Slender Creek Acres "
Like it
I really like the way u r mixing ur video's😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks ✌️
Thx
No problem
Happy acres....... name for new property.
Turning the poison into airborne juice?
How about red barn meadows? Works for me…..
Now admit it, you would much prefer to remove that stump by hand than use the excavator! 😅
Hmm. What do you use for poison (ivy?). Had good results with Fels Naptha soap. Tried Tecnu which also seems to work. All in cold water. I’m sure you know but clothes are a big carrier. Undress inside out by the washing machine. Cold water, too. And about the burn pile. (Again - I’m sure you know). Had friends who got seriously ill breathing smoke from a fire that had poison oak branches mixed in with the firewood.
how about Salems Lot for the new property, think about it.
Nathan,
What about ‘The Red Barn Inn’?
not a bad idea
Seeing as your Mother in Law is living on the new property, you should call it Dragon's Lea
how about “Yonder Farm” as in, over yonder?
If you're still considering names, how about "BRUNO'S BACK YARD"?
I still say you call it the back forty 😂
Could call the new property “Dreamland “
Since you have a mill call it mill creek
You should call that place snake acres.
Timber !
A little vicks vaporub keeps bugs away.
Ceder creek acres
I like “The back 40”
How about foggy bottom?
Belonganathan!
Yow. You weren’t just woofing when you mention budget and the powered full face mask unit. Keeping dust out of eyes is another issue. I use a “dumb” full face mask over my Trend dust mask as a partial solution. Safety glasses don’t keep dust out of the eyes.
Tonka Toy vs. Bush, more like it. Hahaha
How about red barn acres
The annex
