I've noticed that slowing down your movement and shots helps accuracy with hitscan characters a lot. Don't hold down the trigger, tap it. It's okay to take your time and aim for a second but just be aware if there's other hitscans or snipers on the other team. I hope they come up with a good idea for Cass's Grenade after the nerfs. Personally I actually kinda like Magnetic Grenade, it served the same purpose as flashbang where if you got close to a Cass you were really risking yourself. But it's kinda flat in terms of what it does so it either works or it doesn't. I was thinking a Concussion Grenade similar to flashbang but it doesn't stun it slows down enemies and stops them from using abilities for a second, so they can still move and shoot they just can't get away as fast or use recall or wraith or whatever. I think it would help him with the Defensive marksman playstyle they're thinking about.
I noticed that back in BO3 when I played with no sound it made me a better shot and better player because you're forced to be more observant due to one of your senses being taken away.
yeah i switched to OW earlier this year because MW2 was not my cup of tea in the slightest. played COD on GBs and League for years and would always warm up by shooting bots with no volume. sometimes i’d even be doing something as we were joining a match and had to play the first minute or so with no volume and i was always twisted lmao
I have ADHD and often playing the game just feels overwhelming for me. There's usually so much going on that I can't just pick something to focus on. But this technique really works. It increased my accuracy by around 10% which is actually insane. It feels like the game has less distractions with these settings. But the downside is it's easier for you to get flanked. But I feel like it is still an awesome trade-off. Good tip tbh. Now if I could find another tip like this I'd have actual good aim lol.
Same here. Sometimes I even put my game on mute mid fight because I just can't handle focusing on so much because I end up not focusing on anything at all.
i think its a fine line, i dont want my game to be to quiet cus then im trying harder to listen for important sounds like abillities or footsteps so it would work backwords. i do think having the sound to high is bad aswell cus u can get long therm ear dmg and it overpoweres other things like vision cus ur brain focuses on it
playing with volume off makes focus better. better focus allows u to read movement better and makes enemies moving and strafing feel more comprehensive.
Omg this is so facts idk why, you ever be like late back to the setup and don’t have time to put your headset on for a min, I SWEAR those be the times you pop off the most😂
Same reason we can't do hw as efficiently with music blasting than if it were silent or the music very quiet. Our attention is divided. Multitasking without sacrificing some performance is a myth, after all. Increasing audio too high def impacts performance. The effect is more noticable in games like Overwatch where there's many things going on at once both visually and auditory. Lowering the audio takes away some attention from sound that can be dedicated to observation. Audio sensory overload is very real and affects everyone (although to different levels). Say, if you're playing with cinema speakers, for example, you're going to be extremely distracted by sound lol. There are downsides to lower audio, but it's worth it imo.
Totally agree. I once had to play without sound because someone was calling me and I literally had godlike aim since no sound distracted me and my brain focused on the targets much more.
I remember one sunday afternoon a few years ago, I played after washing my hair. I didn't want to wet my headphones so I put it around my neck. I could barely hear the game. I remember being SO GOOD for like 4 hours, it felt great.
I agree with the no sound, I play with little to now sound in overwatch but I have my phone playin UA-cam vids quietly in the background because I need the background noise
I usually play without sound, I dig it but I just hate not being able to hear the enemy shout their ult phrases especially junk rat d va and cassidy . Big ouchies
We are trying to aim perfectly like you but its kinda hard. If can, pls make a video about gour sens, crosshair and other settings stuffs, it will help us alot in crawling up high ranks :'3
Sensitivity is subjective. You can have 2 professional cassidy's, one with double the sens of the other. You should just look up videos on how to find your perfect sensitivity. Also depends on what character you play.
@@evrich yes it is, but i try to find an average sens on hitscan pleier. On top 500 like John, they usually around 43-50cm/360°. But on league just around 33cm/360°. If you’re still d5 with 500hrs of gameplay in this super rank inflated system, you should work on positioning, CD usage, ult usage, synergizing yourself with your team, etc. before concerning yourself with having super good aim. Having extremely good aim in OW is like the last step. Shots become easier when you’re doing all those things better. I suggest watching Awkward’s UR to GM S76 or some of IDDQD’s coaching vids
Ive noticed that I play better aim wise on lower sound but I don't do it because im a player who's good at using sound queue's and can shut down a flanker because of it
Ok, going to be deadass. I play better when I crank up a good song. It's just part of how I'm wired to focus harder when music is there to cut out the annoyingly distracting background noise of everything else going on. In a game, I usually leave my music at a lower volume to get a similar effect that also helps highlight contrasting louder footsteps, callouts, etc.
Idk if it'll happen or not but they should replace Cass's grenade with that of a Ultrakill coin, flick that sucker in front of you, if you can aim you shoot it and it ricochets and automatically crits targets with no damage fall off and leads to hits around corners, I think that'd be great and require a good amount of skill and game sense to use reliably Edit: I didn't even know a hero in Paladins did this, I just like Cassidy and Ultrakill :(
Bro, what if Cassidy's ult was him dual wielding matching pistols for like 7 seconds, and they alternate fire, but double his fire rate and if he so choses, can spend all 12 bullets rapid fire. Shit be fire honeslty🔥🔥🔥
Nah the greatest mute button is for teammates. When people start arguing or getting INCESSANTLY passive aggressive, it fr messes with my flow and aim. I don’t need to hear how I should’ve been aborted because I’m having a bad game of ow, especially while I’m trying to turn it around lmao

Yeah I feel that just the game sound is destroying aim because when I’m just chilling on quick play I always have music blasting and game sounds on 0 and I always POP OFF Edit: just heard that he said it was focus but im bobbing singing and tapping along and still pop off
I would agree with this except I'm legally blind. I play with extreme tunnel vision so I absolutely rely on sound! I don't have it super high but it's definitely my focus for sure.
Bros, definitely do not play with sound off, just lower it and raise bass so you can still hear footsteps. from cs1.0 to the end of time, footsteps are wallhacks.
this could be really bad if done poorly like blizzard tends to do. They already make the hotboxes on projectiles huge, it would be terrible if he could basically one shot someone to the body because he spammed a choke from a farther distance

Lower loudness is true. The less stimulation from other senses the better you can concetrate. It's same as setting the volume down when parking a car.
