    Cool to see stuff like that, I mostly work on farm equipment, excavators look like a whole different experience. Is there a Title difference between HD and Agricultural techs in NA? In Germany both fields are the same Job, so you gotta learn everything from every form of farm equipment to all types of construction equipment +everything to do with Diesel engines to pass you theorethical and practical tech exam.

    I don’t think I’ve witnessed that method before. I usually just use a couple track chains and a come along.

      I used to use track chains till I found this method. Way easier I found and less rigging.

      @@BluTechEquipment I'll be trying it out next time I've tracks to split, that's for sure. My crane is a bit wimpy though, but we shall see.

      Lots of swearing, Lots of sweat, plenty of swings from a sledge and jobs done. cant forget the help from another excavator aswell!

    • @billnelson7254
      @billnelson7254 2 роки тому

      We always used a chain come-along... Bring the bottom end close and then using cribbing, hold the track in place, release the come-along and re-hook to the outsides of the track using a pair of short double hooked chair bridles... As long as the top end and the bottom end will meet on the idler, it's pretty much as you demonstrated in this video...

      I think you mean a King link pin? Normally one of these per track.
