Visa-free country do not require visa nor a trip to embassy/consulate to visit the kingdom, yet now everyone has to register and pay to get this new e-visa. Before I could just hop on a flight and land there, now I have to register and pay a fee and get checked at the immigration anyway. I struggle to understand the benefit and the usefulness of it.
Been using it for 3 years, getting better annually but the cost of multiple visas is outrageous in comparison to single visas especially with the 60 day exemption currently in place.
I already used it last summer when going to Thailand. I wouldn't benefit it if I applied from my country but because I live in China, that service was available for me, by showing my chinese residence certificate.
So the 60 day exempt visa that Thailand offered recently, now requires a backdoor visa using the wonderful E Visa website that they used during Covid, which was a complete disaster to use. Plus filling out forms and then paying a fee, using your bank information as well, as timing an airline ticket to now fly to Thailand for a short vacation. It becomes almost overwhelmingly complicated, especially if you have no smartphone. Looks like my days are over for traveling to Thailand. Thank you for your information though,,,,,,,,,,
E visa in covid worked excellent for those that could follow the basic requests to up load the information in the specified format (some cannot follow basic instructions), it did not work for those that did not complete correctly.
E visa worked perfect and with no problems in Covid time, and it is stil no problem. Just read....READ. then fill in the the simple questions, and pay for it. It was and is just so easy. If you get the visa hen download it to you phone and make it visable for offline if you don't have working Simcard. Or just print it... even a 10year old could and can do it. But for some people it is better to stay in there on country. I mean if you not even can fill out a simple visa application.. 😂
Thumbs up 👍 Alex

This is different than the ETA which has been postponed.
Visa free countries are still able to just fly in.
👏🏻👍🏻 Well presented 😊
Isaan is the most beautiful area in the world,
The old e visa has many flaws and many waited to apply in Thailand. If not a visa upon entry, you will see numbers drop, especially for older people.
If the whatever system needs more than passport info, it gonna fall. Let's hope for smooth UX.

I hate this website, I applied for e visa 3 weeks ago and still no reply from them.
