Florida FOSSILS, Fishing and Foraging | Shark Tooth Hunting and Swamp Exploration via Canoe!

- What a fun day of adventuring in the middle of nowhere here in Florida! We set out to do a bit of exploration and fossil hunting, but grabbed the fishing poles on the way out the door which turned out to be an excellent decision! Tons of beautiful sunfish (redbreast sunfish, bluegill, etc) for dinner(s) and fertilizing our garden! After the fishing, we found a wonderful little patch of delicious wild blueberries (seriously incredible flavor) and then finally got into the part of the river/creek that exposes good fossils. Bri did some diving while I sifted and she found some incredible stuff (as always).

⭐️⭐️I love ❤ that you put in what the flowers & plants were. I’ve asked you before what the flowers & plants were. Thank you so much for the plant id!!
FYI here in SK, Canada we also have blueberries 🫐. They grow them commercially in BC too.
60fps would be a nice touch 😍😘
I really love your foraging videos :)
Is bree your wife Chris, the 2 of you are perfect together, I love watching your videos their so much fun and so educational ❤❤
I love how big Bree smiles at your approval of her finds. You two are great.
I don't know if you guys are boyfriends/girlfriends or just friends, but it is SO nice to be with someone who shares your excitement of the same hobby,
They are a couple
Really appreciate the extra bits of info about the things you find, it’s both entertaining and educational. Your approach to the land, plants, and animals is appreciated as well, you’re respectful and positive and that’s awesome. It’s really a nice touch, thank you!
You guys do so good with your foraging and growing your own veggies and catching your own fish, and you guys caught a lot of really nice fish. I just think it's awesome! And bri's shark tooth finds were awesome! I was waiting for another fishing and foraging video from you two, and it was awesome! Thanks you two!
I love it. The fishing and everything else ya’ll are doing😊 9:14 9:25 😊😊
Brenda
I appreciate the depth of sustainability you're developing. Fossils are why I come here, the added bonus of learning the landscape is why I stay. Great job.
Love the variety of things you do in your videos! You 2 literally did all my favorite hobbies in this video! Love it! 😊
I’ve been watching your videos for a month now me and my mom and dad also, good treasure hunting. Thank you for the good ideas.
This video hit on all cylinders. Fossils, birds, foraging, fishing, plants and flowers, field knowledge and skills. Everything I enjoy!
Being a fish head I've got to nerd out a little and let you know that the orange fish y'all were catching were Redbreast, Lepomis auritus. The purple fish was a big male Bluegill, Lepomis macrochirus. Both are members of the sunfish family Centrarchidae. Beautiful fish. That tannic water really had their color popping!
man i'm really loving this new format you guys are doing, i love the new foraging content but still keeping fossil hunting, keep up the good work guys!
Like the brief garden segment, like where your going. More Bri please!
Chris/Bree, really love your videos. Well done, no extraneous baloney, and great scientific information and beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing..
Just have to say again, I absolutely adore y’all and admire y’all. Y’all are amazing.
I love the pics and when you color where it belongs on the creature.
I also like when you show the edible plants and eat what you catch and pick.
Love what you two are doing and teaching! Great video! Thanks!
Fantastic video! I love that you identify the plants you encounter and add interesting facts about them as well as identifying the fossil finds! Thank you!!!
Looks like a good catch, fish and fossil/crystal wise.
Some great finds & fish tacos for dinner!
I love your videos!💖

You should make tees with Paleo Chris and Bri with a megladon tooth on it.I would order one
I really like your new videos with all the fishing and plant collecting. And putting the names of the plants is great also. Great video.
Nice video! I like the way you added the fishing to your normal plant life recognition and some great archeological finds.
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Hi guys, nice to be back with you two. Coming to Minnesota's North Shore again to rock hunt, love your old videos from here.
Great video! So wonderful watching you two, and learning from you 😊

You two are very special people, take care and be safe.
I saw the notification for this vid pop up on my phone today and I knew it was going to be a good evening.
Love these videos, love going on the adventure
It’s nice seeing y’all get some fishin in!
Love the content. I like that you are interested in living things as well as the fossils.
I love watching y'all forge from the land and water 🌊 I really missed seeing y'all for a while please 😂 try to post more often if possible y'all are great
Nice video I love all the adventures you guys have awesome shark teeth and fossil finds nice team work on the canoe portages over the downed trees .
The wild blueberries were such a fun surprise! 💜🫐
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Amazing the difference between blueberries from Florida to Ontario. The wild blueberries are much smaller but huge in flavor. They also grow on tight bushes that grow close to the ground. Usually around granite outcrops.
Just what I need to see today!
Reminds of creek floats here in Kansas except we spend time looking for native artifacts.
Love your trips.
I love watching all your videos. I've been following your UA-cam channel for a year or 2.. I never bothered to comment. Keep doing what your doing and keep em coming. :)
I love to watch your videos. You guys are alot like me. Without the Fossil and the mineral & rock knowledge! I'm still learning about those. Keep em coming guys!!!✌️❤
What amazing finds.
Cool video, the fishing looked fun, loved seeing all the flora and fauna. Nice fossil teeth too !! Keep those videos coming !!
I love the botanical asides! More please!
Just awesome 👍
Looks like my neck of the woods! NE Florida! Awesome content guys! I love you both!!
Magnifique vidéo !❤
I love your videos so much! So much learning for us! Makes me want to go hunt the creeks for teeth.
Sunfish taste so good. Most people don't even know.
Love you guys. Your videos are great.
i learn a lot from you thank you so much❤😊
7:13 That's a Barred Owl, if anyone is interested. They can be active day and night but do most of their hunting at night. just an FYI. I didn't hear if Chris or Bree identified it on camera.
Wow! another amazing video...lets see more of ur gardening...like the fish emulsion fertilizer...and so many shark teeth and an amazing (favorite word?) catch...fish everywhere!
Oh! forgot the forging (how could i do that!)...one of my favorite "sports"
Love your adventures. I found some nice big tooths in central florida.
Lookin good Bri !
Chris and Bri great video. Bream fishing and wild edible stuff. In Texas and Louisiana we call them huckleberries
Fossil hunting turns into a cooking hunt
Long handle loppers with a ring clip and rope tried to the canoe works wonders in the brush
Finally! Was wondering if bree was going to post new vids. 👍🏼
The ray plate is awesome.
Great video❤😊❤
Bri needs her own show!
Bro threw that blue gill in the cooler like it was nothin 😎
Nice finds dude !
Excellent video, absolutely love the content! Would you consider making a video of your garden, what you're growing, how you deal with all the friggen pests, etc? I would like to hear more about your fish emulsion, how you made it.
That owl was awesome loved the canoe adventure cool video. Would love a longer video of you doing this kind of adventure and hunt x
I’d be open to filming some very long adventures similar to this, possibly with camping over multiple days. Maybe 1 or 1.5 hour videos. I always worry people would get bored, but it would be a fun video to make and share.
That would be awesome and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who feel the same. Even your life style being an eco fan myself. Bit I def think we'd all enjoy it. I wish wild Kyle would do longer ones to. It's so fascinating to watch. A big hi from the uk and best of luck with the future of your channel you make a great couple x
Nice!
Paleobree is the best!
Oh my goodness nice day of fission for them little pumpkin seeds and sunfish which I’m very delicious and those juvenile meg teeth in the white teeth. Awesome.
As always very exciting dives! And I'm laughing at the fish emulsion because my kid went to pick up small fishheads this weekend from the local butcher counter for the garden. They're hoping it will make a big difference...
I lived near Gaineville for many years, years ago. Great to see the same kinds of wild places I enjoyed so much in the 70s. Do you give names of places you explore? i have some very fond memories of the Millhopper for sharks' teeth and parties.
Kyles snail shell was cool
miss you two! 😊
Ahh I wish I could buy one of those Makos! They're awesome!
Well done briexxxx
It's amazing ...thanks Chris for introducing us to Brie. Your knowledge is amazing but Brie seems to find the best stuff...nothing personal...lol
I have a friend that looks for fossils on Crystal River. He finds all kinds of them the big ones
Bri crushed the shark teeth. Your doing the right thing using everything. I thought you were going to take a swig of the fertilizer. Wow they really don’t let anything go to waste! 😮😂
Our blueberries (blåbär) here in Sweden grow on very, very low plants, between ankle-and knee height and are quite small. Seeing american blueberries growing on practical TREES was very cool! :)
In Alaska that thorny plant is called devils club, I believe.
Nice adventure. I went "spelunking" in Citrus Wildlife Mgmt Area last month. Nothing like Kentucky caves, but still fun.
Oh you must give us a tour of your garden!!!
April is the best perch fishing they are in spawn and defend their beds fiercely
As I said Chris, I would love to take Bree n yourself on an Oregon adventure sometime.. Fishing, fossils and mushrooms… Let’s make it happen…..
Hello Bri, How much longer are ya' gonna' make us wait for you to have your own YT Channel??
You could do various topics. Such as what's going-on around the homestead with the garden, what you both are doing for self-sufficiency, recycling, your artwork, hobbies, etc. There are so many interesting topics you can present to an eagerly waiting audience.
Meanwhile, we all hope, pray & wait.
Best regards from Yucatan Mexico,
Ben
Great vibe !
Great variety in this video. I'm always amazed how you two can identify every tooth and bone by subtle differences. But what kind of fish were they? Wild blueberries are also native to most of Canada but are mostly a low growing species. Very sweet, delicious in fall.
Great vid you guys. Look at them tannins in that dark water and how fat them fish are eating on bugs. And berries. Nice vid as always.
🦈Fascinating! We just moved from Venice to New Smyrna Beach. Used to dive all the time for meg teeth years ago before they became harder to find. Other than our 6-inch woolly mammoth tooth (hard to miss that)... I wonder how many other fossil treasures we swam by. Going to Rock Springs in Apopka this week. Never tried hunting in natural springs.
You guys are killing me by being at such a great spot and just searching the surface. I would be digging down as far as a shovel could reach! My son and I were at a spot that had been picked to death so we decided to dig down and at about five feet we found our biggest Meg.
Very nice video ♥️♥️♥️♥️
good day thanks
