    I almost had a heart attack when Bernie used Pin 5 on the DLC for his scope ground...but it was planned; brilliant lesson once again Bernie :)

    Your the man Bernie, it’s hard to sometimes put so much time into recording your thoughts and moves while troubleshooting these complex issues, but I for one really do appreciate your time. Thanks again 👍👏🙏

    Great video Bernie! I have seen a bad oil pressure sender cause a no start, it was a gm and the sensor was shorted internally pulling the 5 volt reference down

    That happened with me once I've been working on a Camry with no crank no start nothing totally dead and once I plugged the scan tool it came alive. Main ground wire was broken

    The guys who installed the engine use PARTS as their diagnosis . Just make a list of ALL the parts . Replace them ALL . " It's gotta work - I replaced everything " ! Who pays for the computer ? IKEA is looking for a few good men - in assembly ! Thanks Bernie .

    THANK YOU , mister Thompson i followed your instructions on following a data driven diagnostic today and incredibly it worked out like a breeze . Following your data gathering in a logical way differently brought me to the root cause of the problem vehicle . I see now this is what must be done on all diagnosis , examining the data that gives you the most information and letting that led you to the next test . Thank you sir for your great time and effort .

      Don't forget technical data which is stored in his brain lol. Service info is good but not all is there, all those tips and tricks that one must carry to diagnose cars really helps out with diagnosing quickly and accurately.

    This made the most sense. Thxs for details. I too replaced an engine in a 2015 legacy premium. 3.6 r. The donor was an Outback. I Wonder if this could be my issue with a no start. Donor engine harness was cut to pieces when I got it. I used my legacy harness on the engine. Not getting fuel from injectors. Good pressure at rail, 49 psi. Does run with spray bottle at intake. I am also using my old intake as donor one was damaged. Any ideas ?

    nice video showing your efficient diag process with the eSCOPE. I recently got the eSCOPE & e SCAN & really like the features of these unique tools. I've been called out to look at some strange problems that when traced back turned out to be the wrong engine harness, those are always fun!

    Dear Mr. Bernie, You are the King, you demonstrate how passionate you are toward your wonderful unique work you perform. You are the real Doctor , Master. The movies you did with deep molecular detective work exhilarate me, i.e. its like watching James Bond Looooooool. Oh, one note, please try to do the diagnostic away from road traffic because I do care about you (got my point). Enjoy your Heaven. John Jack Kaplanian from Jordan, Middle East.

    Still not sure about this. If the scan tool allows pin 4 to be bridged to pin 5 and pin 4 is not connected to ground at the engine and thus not grounding pin 5, then what has been achieved by connecting the scan tool ?

    • @johnhnetkovsky8917
      @johnhnetkovsky8917 4 роки тому +1

      Pin 5 has good ground, jumping 4(which has no ground) to 5 gives 4 a good ground allowing car to start.
