Hopedale Redfish Stacking Up

If you don't have a sense of irony, then fishing probably isn't for you. I went out on the last day before the rules changed on Speckled Trout thinking the day would be all about Trout, and of course ended up catching a bunch of Redfish instead. The Speckled Trout bite has been awesome, but I didn't have the patience to figure it out. All I needed was the slightest excuse to go in the marsh looking for Redfish and I jumped on it. Caught Redfish on a naked jig with a clear swim bait, Texas rigged speedcraw, and a twitch bait. Overall, the Texas rigged craw was the most effective.

The submerged grass is pretty much gone from most of the areas we fish. It’s been so salty for so long.

@@Jar_Fishing I think I was one of the boats leaving when you were pulling up. The trout turned off on all the spots I’ve been catching them down there. Fished the whole day from there, to the long rocks, then back up through hopedale and only found 8 trout.

Reds are thick all over , but that will be the next thing the WLF will cut next , the trout bite been great towards Delacroix , been on a tagging spree every trip , just tagged 20 trout this morning , got into a mess of reds last trip in lake Amedee , had to get away from them , like Hopedale but to much a hassle launching by myself there

I launched at Pips a couple times but can be a problem when tide is rolling threw bayou there
