This Is Why We Love Fall Fishing! - Hopedale Trout & Redfish

- Hopedale - Some days are Trout days and some days are Redfish days...and some days are both. I don't have to catch piles of fish to enjoy myself, but it's always nice to have days like these. We had good luck with the Speckled Trout starting off, but when you put me and KB in the same boat, it's only a matter of time before we end up in the marsh chasing Redfish in skinny water. We wasted some time looking for Bass after we left the Trout, but changed the plan and went where we knew the Redfish would be hanging out.
How to catch Speckled Trout, how to catch redfish, inshore fishing in Louisiana, artificial lures, louisiana fishing, Hopedale fishing
Too funny watching your friends rig slowly go over board, im glad he got it back! And im sure his wallet is too!
Awesome video but, I envy you guys👍🏻 what it would be like to be young and live close enough to go more often! Don’t take it for granted guys
Thanks Mike! That’s a good reminder.
No doubt Mike, I missed my shot to return to the homeland.
Love the way you release the studs with care, that's the DNA we want spreading out there
That’s right! For the love of the sport.
Brother, your respect walks before you, kudos man
Thanks Tim!
Wow Jar, That Fish Was Hugh!!
Great trip guys!
Wow what a trip there. We down here now. And today was a challenge to say the least. Behind the dam was not that good today. But that’s what so great about this place from one day to the next can be totally different. Love watching your vids. They’re always good. This was great. Keep them coming.
Exactly. You never know until you get there. Thanks Chad
I like how you are now trying to keep the fish from hitting your boat, especially if they need to be released, either too small or releasing large trout. And, your video editing is some of the best. I hope you get sponsorship someday.
Much appreciated!
Well earned!
Jar looking more like a tournament champion at its finest 💪🏾
Alright Jared & KB, Y’all Are Catching Them Fish! 14-15 Inch Trout!
Alright Now A 20 & 3/4 inch. Keep Catchem JAR!
Another great fishing trip!!! Love it
You guys made it look easy, great video, congrats !!
Great trip for sure.
Love this shit man hell yeah
Get em JAR!!
Your conditions are incredible, how do you deal with it? Just messing buddy, I know you'd be fishin' no matter. Thanke for sharing
Thank you JAR you just made me spend about 150 bucks jerk baits to bring down there next year 😂
You either spend it on lures or you spend it on live shrimp. As long as you catch em it’s all good 😂
@@Jar_Fishing last may we didn’t use a single live shrimp and it was liberating 😂
Nice work , you should think about tagging , your recaptures they don’t give out your location where you caught or release your tagged fish only you get that information back from TagLa , I had 4 recaptures last week , thanks again for sharing your video been waiting for you to post it, I’ve had some reports back of trout & reds traveling some distance from where I released them
I had no idea the recapture rate could be that high! That’s incredible.
I had 26 recaptures this year 4 of them is from me catching my own tagged fish again
I’ve tagged 892 trout & reds so far this year , gonna go out this morning and see what’s going to get tagged , waiting for weather reports first
Alright KB!
What’s your go to when targeting red’s in the marsh ? Like in this video. Another good one.
Usually a Texas rigged soft plastic. I did catch one red on that in this video, but the vast majority of them were on an open jig head with a Matrix Shad. The marshes I fish usually have too much grass to effectively fish with an open jig head, but the salinity this year pretty much wiped out the grass.
Alright 18 inch Trout!
Do you charter ??? Looking for someone possibly the 27th of December!!
No, not licensed. I hear Capt. Charlie Thomas with Bayou Charters is pretty good for that area. I’m sure someone watching this could recommend another good guide as well. Thanks for watching, and I hope it works out for y’all. Great time of year to be fishing here.
