I got the viper v2 because of people saying it was better for claw, but when I started to use it the lack of a hump made it uncomfortable to handle. I found that the sliver of plastic at the very rear of the viper kept digging into my palm and I could feel the mouse lifting off my pad.
@@General_JJ what mouse did u previously used? I tried the viper v2 pro for a week and eventually got used to it. However i went back with my g pro x and had to readjust to it aswell using it. Basically u cannot go wrong with both purchase but just take the time to get used to it imo.. and keep in mind of hand size bcs i personally have large hand and cannot use small mouse like the viper mini or finalmouse starlight small thus making the hump of g pro x a better shape for me. But sometimes i missed my viper v2 pro..
I prefer the GPX, the height supports my palm hybrid group. 4cm mice usually work the best for me, prime mini and gpx are the mice i perform the best on
I have both. Only have had the v2 pro for 2 days. I actually like the texture of it over the superlight. My white superlight slips like butter and it's the first mouse that I have to put side grips on them. The switch feel on the v2 pro is miles better than the ultimate that my wife has. But overall, it's really a wash between the two. I'm still looking for the perfect shape for my large but not super large hands.
And the battery on the superlight is indeed insane. I never needed to "remember" to charge and it charges fast too. I'm charging the v2 pro for the first time, 40 min from 39% to 64%. Not really impressed here.
do you have dry hands? I've noticed the superlight is indeed a bit slippery if your hands are bone dry. the v2pro gets slippery when you sweat whereas the gpx gets slippery when you don't lol. and yeah I totally agree, it's 100% a wash between both mice and both are overpriced anyway.
@@yetanothermousereview I wouldn't say bone dry. But I have taken off the grips and the gpx now feels alright, not as slippery as I remember it used to be. I find myself using the gpx almost all the time. Things I like about the v2p: texture and switches. I think they finally got the optical switches right this time. M1 and M2 feel a lot better than my gpx, though my gpx has seen 1 year ish of use.
Things I don't like about the v2p: still a non-shape shape, battery life, the lift off distance feels a little weird (not bad just a little different). The sensor feels "faster" at the same DPI and sens compared to GPX. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad. It feels a little snappier too (purely subjectively).
@@k.w5804 Does your V2p have any scroll wheels issues? Mine had a loud crunching noise when scrolling up and I returned the mouse because the shapes just wasn't for me.
Hello. Now I am faced with a choice of what to change my Logitech G PRO Wireless to! Whether on the Logitech G PRO X Superlight, or on the Razer Viper v2 Pro! I play competitive shooters. The size of the palm is 9-9.5 cm wide and long from the beginning of the wrist to the end of the thumb 20 cm. I can’t try the Razer Viper v2 Pro, no matter how sorry, but the shape of the Logitech G PRO Superlight is similar to my G PRO! And I don't know how to choose! Technologically, Razer is clearly better, as the newest sensor and new optical switches. What should I do?
I completely agree with all your points, the coating and the extremely aggressive flare made me return the mouse. I had a terrible qc issue with my scroll wheel where it was literally angled to right side of the mouse and was extremely hard to press down. And the 3395 would start skipping a few pixels when pressing down hard on my artisan zero soft which made micro adjustments kind of weird, I didn’t notice it in game but in Aimlabs it was very noticeable.
The GPX Superlight is easy to mod, easy to find parts, you can easily get hot swappable PCBs and only the first batch had double click issues. There's also a wireless charge option with the GPX. Personally, I would add grip tape to those two side buttons. I don't even want to say how many mice I own. I'd say my second from an out of the box is my Finalmouse Poseidon, by far it has the best side buttons I've ever put my fingers around, it tracks extremely well and feels good in the hand. My only complaint is its encoder which blows .. I'm sending it off to get replaced and then it'll probably end up being my GOAT.
I like the Viper shape much more for claw grip with a trip of thick grip tape on the back of the hump, it really helps with stability. I wish they'd played around with the shape for the V2 though, it still feel awkward compared to the FK2 imo.
no, they feel roughly about the same size. however the g pro feels more "egg-y" if that makes any sense? obviously the shape is more like that but it has much more palm contact and also feels more natural for aggressive claw. the v2 pro sort of aggressively presses against your ringer finger and has much less palm contact.
Yea basically the hump of g pro makes it feel “bigger” in a way that the mouse hump will touch ur palm which for me is a better grip shape for aggressive claw grip. However, i feel that the width and length is almost identical but the v2 pro (IMO) feels more lighter and smaller due to the weight (even if its only a couple of gram) and the hump not touching my palm..
huh. I've never heard of the gpx being notorious for scroll wheel issues and given the scale it sold I doubt it's probably a big issue. I would say consider the g pro wireless if you're that unsure but you'd probably want to be ready to solder in new switches also lmao
@@Brianbo4 man that’s a shame my gpx started to rattle from the inside seems like the battery got loose had to rma it sucks this cause it was a great mouse. But I ran into even worse luck cause the package it was in for a return got stolen.
Funny how everything that you consider "objectively" better on gpx is so reverse in my case, my pinky slips on gpx but not on v2, and the shape of gpx for me was really bad, made my wrist hurt
yamr, you are right...the grip style for v2 is not as good as gpx. gpx has a hump and you can control better on it. i had to return my razer viper v2 pro for that reason. shape is king and for some, gpx still takes the cake over v2 pro. bro, xm2w is coming.... coating sucks on v2 pro....it's slippery . i agree 100%
I didn't like the white V2 PRO, it's overpriced and uncomfortable. Superlight is outdated, it's not that light anymore plus I hate that it has micro usb and a potato shape. Returned both and now using Pulsar Xlite V2.

True, i think it is because of our “aggressive” claw grip which from what i have heard, it is better to have the hump
I just ordered the viper v2 from amazon, should I cancel it and get the g pro x instead? (I also have an aggressive claw grip)

It's all about the shape imo.
But I would say the click feeling is also important
at the end of the day, they are both 1A and 1B so it's all shape preference.

Yeah and if you take the thick piece of grip tape off you're left with a fk1 clone but it won't have any support for your palm. GPX just better.
Viper is a fingertip (or any hybrid of that) wet dream though, something the other two can't really complete in with.

How do you like those duck skates? They look sick.
eh. they're actually a lot like the stock superlight skates. so a bit scratchy but pretty controlled.

honestly quite similar to stock. pretty controlled though a bit scratchy.
