Hahaha, I bought that same green hypercrap set twisted the T-6 bit right in half first time used. Did my research and found Wiha. Just ordered a couple micro torx sets from them. Good vid

Just bought myself a Wiha bit set, i see that some folks have been saying they used to be made in germany but now Taiwan. I'm hoping they still have the same quality.

I bought 6-15 and a spare 6,8 and 10 and they've lasted me well over a year without showing any sign of slowing. They're excellent. The spares are for two sides pivots and what not. Something to consider. Great vid and excellent choice on the tools there.

I purchsed this torx set after seeing Dr. Frunky's review. Better even then my other Wiha set. Was finally able to loosen the pivot on my Halictus when nothing else would work. An excellent tool. Like you , I wish I didn't destroy so many screws during my learning curve with the cheap crap but at least the damage was on the less pricey knives that I started with.

Sounds like you went through the exact same process as me! Knife owning has been a perpetual learning process for sure. Thanks for watching!

I have like four and don't love any of them. I need to get one of these.

Slicey Dicey they're well worth it. I bought the actual individual drivers and absolutely love them. Have been using them for well over a year and they still look brand new. The t6's are actually reinforced at the tip. If I could upload a pic I would. You can see and feel the quality immediately.

I've had the same experience with torx bits. Wiha rocks. I have no regrets having purchase some of their tools. I do like the expression buy once cry once. They're worth every penny. I will keep an eye on your Channel and see what's coming up next.

Great vid bro! I went through the same progressional spending platform as you. Same results.......no bueno! I watched a Nick Shabazz video and he highly recommended Wiha, and mentioned that’s all he uses. I was already familiar with Wiha and their German pricing on everything they produce but figured screw it, all the cheap tools in the end add up to what you’d pay for a premium bit set anyway. I went to Wiha‘ website and checked out all of their bit sets and driver sets. I found the one I liked, and paid $100 for a full micro-driver set with a micro-ratchet, that houses every conceivable micro-driver bit under the sun in a stainless steel case and the bits are arranged in the polyethylene “pick-n-pack closed cell foam which I love. Lifetime warranty too. A worthy investment considering the time, effort, and cost you put into your gear anyway so I think paying a premium for tools to maintain the tools you’ve paid a premium for is justified!

That's awesome thanks for sharing! I couldn't agree more. Quality tools always seem so intimidating at first because of the price. think you're "worthy investment" analysis is spot on too. Wiha definitely seems to be a favorite among us knife guys. Thanks for watching and leaving a helpful comment!

The manufacturers each spent at least $250,000 on tools to make the knives, you spent a few thousand dollars buying the knives; it's got to be worth spending $50 for a few top-quality tools that will last at least a few years, and do no damage, to maintain the knives.

I’d like a Wiha stubby torx driver with the bits in the head.

Good tools are always a pleasure and Wiha is excellent. Bondhus is another good name for this type of tool and are US made for those that care.

If your going to spend this much on knives I don't understand why you wouldn't try to buy a decent torx set to maintain them

You know you can put the extra wiha bits in the little handle for storage right?

Actually this is the non storage stubby. The end cap is flush vs being wider to pry it open.

20 for 6 and a driver? Damn I bought the snap on set for 35 a piece. The back up Blue Point I have is 87 peices and is cheaper at 360 for the set but still pretty damn pricey.

My only problem with Wiha is that Americans keep saying their name wrong

  • @Slithh

You never put the link in or just the name of the tool. Kind of pointless without it.
