I am so glad God blessed you and Danny with the hands to work hard and the wisdom to create your vision on this beautiful property. Mama and papa should be proud of their babies I think they've adapted extremely well and the little ones have it down Pat! I got such a kick out of the cows mooing and Danny calling them over. I love cows! Was able to see a calf on Saturday less than a day old. My neighbor said I can come sit and watch them any time. What a treat. And why do people have to be so bossy about how you run YOUR FARM! Kills me every time you say that someone has had a negative comment. They just need to go somewhere else or start there own channel and see what it’s like. Much alive amd Many Prayers! 💙💛🙏 amd leave us hanging on the next big project! Lol. Rabbit hutches? Or maybe finishing the end walls in the 3rd high tunnel. Just a guess. With y’all, it’s hard to tell, but it will be amazing what ever it is. Can’t wait to see! ❤️

Watching you with your cows is as good as watching Farmer Derek in Kansas play his trombone for his. I love it. Love the new barn too. If I wasnt allergic to dairy and beef I would be so stinking jealous. Love Love Love.
Loved seeing more of what your home and land looks like, it’s beautiful. It was really peaceful to watch you and your wife take care of your animals and see what farming is like.
My job was to get the milking cows from the pasture and bring them to the barn. They would see me coming and knew it was milking time. We used to milk up to 10 cows, by hand...none of those automatic milkers. Mom had a cream quota back then and it was delivered to a local creamery. She made cottage cheese to sell (and sold lots), homemade butter and milk was always on the table. Any extra milk went to the pigs, nothing ever wasted. The young generation can't comprehend that way of life now. So blessed to have grown up on the farm. We just got half a beef delivered on the weekend from a local farmer that we've supported for 10 yrs. This amount will do us 3 yrs as we aren't huge beef eaters. He was pretty concerned what the future will bring for cattle farmers in Canada, as he should be. But he's also not "awake" so he really has no idea of the extent of things. He has good grazing land and grain farms also. But the stability of that isn't good either. He has a lot of support and customers for his beef and took 80 head to butcher in 2021. He will let me know if things change drastically for him and give me an opportunity to buy more if things take a bad turn. He's trying pigs this year and I already told him I will take half a pig if he will sell any. It's real difficult to secure pork in our region, no one wants to raise them anymore. I haven't had good pork meat since my parents farmed - its been 30 yrs now. The meat was extra tender especially the year mom put a bunch of old homemade raspberry wine through the distiller...keeping the good stuff, of course, and gave the rest to the pigs...the tastiest tender pork ever, lol!!

My family and I moved to Missouri in 1993 and most of the pictures from the trip are of cows. My kids and I had never seen one before! I've since moved back (sadly) to Southern California, but still had not put 2 andn2 together with that saying. Those sounds they make, incredible. Made my morning!!!

Good morning, guys. Almost light, still fencing here. 1000 ft. sheep and goat around homestead, to keep animals away from gardens and greenhouses soon to be built. I worry about feed supply so I'm going to try to feed them off the land. Easy now I'm just starting on goats, chickens, and rabbits. Perimeter fence done on two sides, last two will be wire for cows this fall, God willing. Wooded creekside is going to be hard. Still getting rid of rust, rot, and nature on this neglected, inherited farm. Take care. GOD BLESS GOD SPEED GOD WINS.
I was wondering why y'all were up so late. Then I looked at the clock and realized it was 3:35 am mountain time, so 5:35 y'all's time. Got a lot on my mind. Pretty negative diagnosis the Dr called me on a Sunday. It only took 3.5 years to figure it out and many practicing physicians clueless. Blessings, julie
