Ohhh! Farina! I love that piece! I just took a casual stroll down Google way to see where this was (i.e. in a museum somewhere maybe...), and apparently it sold two years ago for over 7 MILLION dollars! Wow wow wow...
I always thought Neiman Marcus was just a little higher end than Saks, but not by much...
My sales were slow this weekend compared to last weekend. Torrid seasonal stuff sells super fast especially sizes 2 and up! I sold two dresses in less than a week. And I sold a long sleeve tunic in a day. I do have two pieces that haven’t sold that are more springy. Hopefully they sell next spring. 😊 love your videos!
Hmmm - Good thought on the seasonality of Torrid pieces... I'm thinking that, with the push for more brands to be size inclusive, their customer base has many more options than just them for fashion forward clothing... which is a real win for the customers (the most important part of this equation, of course...) It makes sense! Fingers crossed yours move quick!!!
Labor Day weekend was very slow for me. It sucked.
As for Torrid, I’ve never sold anything until today when I sold a dress that only listed 2 days ago for $68! It wasn’t black. It was a maxi burnout velvet dress with tiers and ruffles.
I'm telling you - burnout velvet from any brand is a winner! I'm sure that had a lot more to do with it than brand...
I always called it Needless Markup. I'm a Saks gal.

Torrid that looks gothy flies for me and the rest is a slow 15 bucks.
I feel like this is the correct assessment now. I think the push for other brands to be more size inclusive (which is a total win) has spread their customer base way out... Gothy stuff is still niche and being done by few companies...
