Bream's rendition of The Frog Galliard, Mrs Vaux's Gigge and Lady Hunsdon's Puffe was so inspiring that those pieces became an essential part of my répertoire. I have just discovered that you also have a web page. I will drop you a line some time in the future. I am currently learning Morning Has Broken, an arrangement by Gary Ryan. This arrangement is peculiar because the 5th and 6th strings are tuned in G and C respectively. The tuning gives my Kevin Aram guitar a totally different sonority with wonderful undertones and harmonics. The unusual tuning makes the piece challenging but achievable! Thanks Donald! I love the Buxtehude Suite and I think Julian Bream did too as he programmed it many times. Perhaps he didn't find the right project to record it. The Froberger Suite arrangement is also something he didn't record commercially, although there is a live concert recording from Norway on UA-cam. Well worth a listen.
@@grahamanthonydevine-gad I did track down the Frobeger on UA-cam. It's a shame they didn't a commercial outing but aren't we lucky to have the transcriptions. The more I listen to Bream, the more I appreciate him.
