- I recorded this footage in V-LOG outdoors without extra light's and it was foggy. Nothing special but I tried to give it a dramatic cinematic look in post. Thanks for the request, to make this video. I hope you'll get my intension's on any step I do while grading it. THANKS FOR YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT!

shall we still look into the GH5S or shall we let it go for the G9 ll and forward...
I wanna hear of people who filmed themselves a lot and how they solved the issue of being in
focus...
I did a lot of student films and reporting stuff and some small cameraman stuff on shorts.. but filming myself every month, and outside I have not done other than on iPads and such simple tools... I however have film school and acting schools behind me, but left that world many years ago now, and am thinking that this year, I should start to act on film again, and want to start to work with myself in front of the camera ...
I just found a second-hand GH5S for about 1200 ...
but the G9 ll with continuous autofocus when filming myself will be another 1000 dollars to add..
What is it worth it, really...
if I want to start professional work online this year making short films, short documentaries,
and also film myself as an actor ...
-Is it better to take the second-hand GH5S as the cheaper choice and get a better rig for it,
-or is the more expensive G9 ll the right investment over time?
or is it just a "bypass-marketing-camera" to get to the GH7,
which maybe come in October and I am better off with the GH5S for this year? ....
wanna make monologues as an actor,
but in outside settings,
like public or nature settings
and set up a few acting blocks to move from, a background to a foreground talking to the camera, or talking to imagined other characters outside of the camera frame that we never see and develop content as an actor,
.... and later on in the Summer when I have some content and experience add in more actors, write my own short scripts,
but for now, I will be filming myself and continuous autofocus might matter, when filming myself I am concerned about how to set the focus so that I can walk back and forth between to points, or when one in ones acting lean back and forth towards and away from the camera that one still will be in focus while filming oneself...
how to consider this,
and how to best set it up when you both film and act?
what methods have others used and found practical and functional to rely on?
Of course, I will not make much money, on this now most likely none,
but to learn to work on my own and to start to produce on my own, I need to start right...
I got a broken GH3 from 2013 and three lenses,
I feel is time for me to upgrade my gear...
what in 2024 is the right one to get started when one wanna do stuff like I am thinking of?
thanks to anyone that also has taken the road to not use iPhones and such fake cameras but still invested time and money in real gear to make projects on one's own no one can tell where they will end up...

Hi ! If the continues autofocus is so important to you I would definitely go with the new G9II. You already have some lenses for it from the GH3. You will struggle if you would buy one of the older version of cameras you mentioned. I understand your point of acting and moving working more in front of the camera. The continues autofocus of the G9ii is so much more accurate. The others looses the focus point to often.

My v log is lost, how do I restore it? Is it possible because I reset the gh5?
yes you have to reinstall it with the barcode you ordered separately
