I will try to answer any specific question(s) you might have. Keep in mind this was my first rope making project and my methods were a bit crude. I think there are some much better machines here on UA-cam from other makers along with some fairly detailed plans for constructing the spinning mechanism. You might want to research those first. My machine uses sprocket sets from four bicycles...so if you don't have access to a lot of old junker bikes this could be difficult and expensive to replicate.
@@bustersurfshop I have made several 4 and 6 hook orbital and planetary rope twisters BURLESQUE TWISTERS..that have all been one off's, I als refurbish Wonder Twisters. and other antiques..I belong tand am a hard liner for 4 hook twisters so one can ply split the strands..it can not be done with 3 ,.. member of Heartland Rope Makers Guild and a few more. I feel that that I can make 6 hook twisters in a hobby production setting is with chain drive. here is my facebook facebook.com/kel.wright.5/ I hope to connect via email/ tele-com
Vahe, I made my spinning machine out of old bicycle sprocket sets and a spare drill I had laying around...so everything was free. But if you don't have a lot of junk bikes at your disposal this might be an overly expensive option - since I used 4 sprocket sets plus the chain to make the thing. Also, my contraption was all welded together, so if you don't have access to a welder that would also add to your cost. I think there are a number of less expensive and easier to make spinning machines out on the web. Here's one example ua-cam.com/video/ddenqErLL0Q/v-deo.html If you still think the bicycle parts are the way to go, let me know and we'll figure out a way to get you some photos.
Dewey Lindstrom thanks for the advice, but I want to do exactly how you have, if not difficult to send me a photo on the e-mail: vahik-man@mai.ru thanks in advance
