Nice one. Anu idea how much does the stock car weight ? I heard lots of numbers from 1100 to 1200 kg..Without any unnecessary things, inluding spare tire and tools, half tank of gas etc. How much can you save? I am looking for a Corolla cts 2door facelift without sunroof and not sure how much it weights compared to my previous car, a Celica T sport which is 1130kg stock.
Raid Toyota's parts bin for 295mm avensis discs and calipers, drill the discs 100x4 pcd and the rest is plug and play. Baffled sump from a 1zz ,lsd from a mr2, but best of all, the 3.5 litre v6 ge motor with 280bhp fits with little bother.
I don’t like to use the 1zz sump. It’s a windage tray not properly baffled. Can actually starve the engine of oil as the oil can’t return to the pickup fast enough. Still trying To find some direct fit discs. Fairly sure I want brembo 4 pots. I would like to do a 2gr swap (assuming that’s the engine you mean) but it would be a lot of work to gain all that weight over the front end
