One thing I've noticed from watching you play pros is, they do not waste any movement. Everything is so mechanical. It's absolutely amazing and shows how much discipline they have in practice and in training!

I think the reason people like adam is obvious, with his love and passion for the game they also love. But i think they enjoy playing him because hes so different from the normal smash and block power players they normally face, so its an interesting challenge and fun escape from normal competition. great stuff mate.

Honestly just by pure coincidence I watched one of her matches during the olympics and thought they she seemed to be very mean for lack of a better way of putting it. I’m so glad I was wrong. She seemed to be completely awesome as a player but more so as a person.

Thanks for you super kind words. I was supposed to be there and worked like crazy for weeks overnight to try and secure a visa. It was very confusing. challenging and frustrating during these times... so I was quite disappointed when I learned that I couldn't be there. That said, I know that is was a struggle for many involved and they had their hands SUPER full... so despite some personal disappointment, I was thankful that they were able to put on the events and we could see the stars battling again. I apologize for the extreme ignorance of my questions, knowing little of the sport. It looks like Adam plays from pretty far away from the table. Is this an artifact of the camera set-up? Is it normal strategic positioning? Is he being driven back by superior play? Regardless the play is lovely to watch and the video is so wholesome.
It's defensive play, looking to launch quick counterattacks after a couple of long defensive returns. As a beginner, it is mostly taught to not let your opponent "push" you further away from the table, but at high level, playing away from the table is a necessary strategy against opponents that are magnificent attackers.
Congrats again to pull this together, this is YOUR World Adam, you own it. I was happy enough to sit and chat with Dima, shake Mizutani's hand, watch Feng Tianwei and asking her coach how old is this "guy" (??!!!) She was a "machine gun" while drilling in practice, the power, speed and accuracy was astonishing for such a young woman then. I also sat beside Patrick Chila and spoke to him for about 20 mins... WOW !!! These were very cool moments, but you are king ! Thanks for sharing.
Cheng I-Ching seems super likable, so first I wanted her to win, but the punishment for her would've been so funny that I started rooting for Adam. So disappointed he lost, it would've been too funny

I have been reading them. I am very touched. Thanks for sharing this here and I hope everyone can know that I am reading them and appreciate their support. I really wanted to be there and was planning to be there... but there were some hurdles with visa stuff that was quite challenging for me and conflicting information .. and I was really disappointed that I couldn't be there. That said, I can't change the past, just do my best to learn from it and grow and enjoy my life. Nice games. If you played more offensive, you would have a chance. The lob strategy is fun against lower rated opponents, but the best know how to attack the snake. You tried in that last game with a few backhand flicks on the return of serve but missed twice in a row.

It's a strategic in short kind of distance to be able to reach the hall of it goes to high back and ar the same time not to be too close to the table.
