Any who, I reference "What happened?" quite often and it saddens me when people don't understand it. I will be sending this to quite a number of my co-workers as always Adam your awesome!
I was imaging the WHG finding his face plastered all around the city and wondering "what happened" but then having to ask everyone who was putting up the photos with no contact details.
I left Taiwan at a young age over 30 years ago and I still can't find anywhere else in the world that has the same balance of individualistic freedom, warm-heartedness, and respect/civility among the people. It is hard to explain, but Taiwanese people strike the perfect balance between the reserved politeness of the Japanese and the friendly bluntness of the Americans if that make any sense. Basically if you are rude to the Taiwanese peope, they will generally take 3 steps back and forgive you, but if you continue, you are asking for a beating and they won't be shy about it. That basically sums up my grandma; I miss you, A-ma.
